And it's getting boring to see the same cards pop up in his top 10 lists. When I play chill games I usually put youtube in the background to listen to something, sometimes listening to his videos, watching more of them in succession I heard the mention of Blue-Eyes, Ra Sphere Mode, Ultimate Falcon multiple times. I get it, they are good cards for specific moments, but sometimes I just want to find out about new cards.

The creator realized a lot of the best YGO cards could end up on multiple top 10 videos and when he started seeing too many of the same cards, he's now relegated them to the internal "ban list". The cards might get mentioned at the end of the video, but not talked about at length.
@@warfarein that would be quite a good choice. From my point of view, showing more cards means that I can build more diverse decks. I'm playing for fun with friends, where if we would just pick the meta the game would be boring cuz half our decks would be the same card. A variety is indeed needed.
I like to think the "The Ultimate Creature of Destruction" card was made after all the times Yugi top decked him finally got to Kaiba. Just like how I think the Blue Eyes Alternative Dragon was made by him after he wanted to go back to the old days before the Sacrifice rule existed where you could just summon Level 8 monsters with 3000 ATK directly to the field.
Ah, well I guess my "Self-Determination of Blue Eyes" fan card is obsolete. Darn Konami, printing cards inspired by anime moments from long ago. ...Though I have to admit Successor Soul is a much more succinct title. Next they'll print a card to make "Standing Among the Ashes" obsolete and I'll start questioning whether I should give the idea of fan cards inspired by anime moments any thought at all; after all they may already exist. :P

As someone who's not at all a blue eyes fan, god damn that Spirit Dragon artwork is so cool it gives me chills. Also it'd be great if we could finally get a full release of chaos max dragon in duel links already.
That’s just *asking* for shenanigans with “Ojama Go!”. That gives your opponent and Ojama Token when you lose 1800 or more LP. there’s loads of things to spend that LP on and Bingo Machine Go! and Melody of Awakening Dragon are all you need after the LP payment.
I mean, Blue Eyes has been on and off the meta. For a while, I was using my Heroes to destroy Blue Eyes players left and right. Before that, I was using Invoked to destroy them. So I guess I'm not that upset that they have their time in Tier 1 for now. I mean, something has to be Tier 1, and Blue Eyes are easily not that bad for a Tier 1 deck to deal with. I despised Darklords much more, and somehow they've made a return to Tier 1 as well.
Ikr, and the fact that kaiba is the original owner of the cards, aaaand that both kaiba versions in duel links have voice lines related to it, what a shame

@@coxxen sadly, even if they did, I doubt it would be good. The only thing good that came out recently for them was Dragoon, but even then it wasn't exactly support for them. It was just a fusion card that required them as materials. Dark Magician and Red Eyes have pretty much been forgotten by Konami, and you can tell. I'd eat my hat and scream in excitement if they did get amazing support though.
The recent Blue Eyes release such as Ultimate Fusion, Blue Eyes Tryant, Blue Eyes Jet has completed my non-meta deck!! (I was able to have the serious Blue Eyes cards with no duplicates.) It flows so well.

@@catisreckless4647 I'm saying make the "Alternative Dark Magician" based on Arcana's Dark Magician and build this retrain with effects designed the way an Alternative monster would be. Treat it like "Dark Magician" on field or in the GY, give it the same summoning condition as Alt. White, and give it some kind of useful effect Dark Magicians could use, be it Sage's Spell search (maybe don't let him search ANY Spell) or something else.
Reasons I loved using a Blue-Eyes deck on YGOPro 1) Hard to brick despite the reliance on Level 8 monsters 2) It was easy summoning Rank 8 Xyz monsters, Blue-Eyes can go into Rank 8's better than Gimmick Puppets could. Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon was my playmaker. 3) Blue-Eyes are effectively Dragon Rulers #2, some of the cards made for Dragon Rulers are applicable to Blue-Eyes like Return of the Dragon Lords. 4) Variety of options, Rank 8 Xyzs, Synthros - Blue-Eyes are not strangers to using Michael the Arch Lightsworn to banish a card then go into Crystal Wing. Fusions and Rituals, thanks to Chaos MAX, speaking of which, Dark Matter that used to mill dragons allowed for Chaos plays or revivals that resulted in lockdown like with Amorphage Dragon.
I like the idea of traps being recurrable infinitely as a trade off for being slow. Like I think Konami could make traps more card advantage efficient as a trade off for running traps.
So I understand that the Blue-eyes cards usually hold more prominence in the day to day meta then red-eyes as an overall archetype, SO I had an idea to close the gap: _Blue-Eyes/Red-Eyes Truce_ Quickplay Spell _Once Per Duel, you can tribute from your hand or field 3 “Blue-Eyes” Monsters with 3000 or more attack and 3 “Red-Eyes” monsters with 2400 or more ATK: For the rest of the duel, all “Blue-Eyes” monsters own are also treated as “Red-Eyes” cards, and all “Red-Eyes” monsters are also treated as “Blue-Eyes” cards. If your tribute monsters who’s original names are “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” and “Red-Eyes Black Dragon” for this effect, for the rest of the duel all “Blue-eyes” and “Red-Eyes” monsters you own have their original names also treated as “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” and “Red-Eyes Black Dragon”._
I always found it interesting that Blue-Eyes had synchros while Dark Magician had xyz monsters. I kinda wish they kept that going instead of going back to fusions for them. Not to say the support isn't wanted. I just thought that them focusing on different extra deck mechanics more fit the rivalry better. Fun fact, 8 out of 10 cards here are in duel links. Also fun fact, Duel links meta now revolves around blue eyes, decks being based entirely how they compare to blue eyes. This happened because duel links continued to give blue eyes constant support, leaving other archetypes to become obsolete.
I'm actually building a Blue Eyes White Dragon deck. Your video has been a massive help. I'm thinking Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon and Fists of the Unrivalled Tenyi are good shouts. Actually, I couple of the cards on this list. Thank you for filling the gaps.
There are a ton. A huge part of tournament tops is by players with rogue decks. Thats because some of these decks have mechanics which heavily out the top meta deck at the time. Like lets say the best deck everyone plays is heavy graveyard reliant and someone plays a rogue archetype which is fantastic in denying the graveyard, the person with the rogue deck almost always wins. Because rogue decks playability is dependant on the meta (you will have to play an archetype that counters whats played) theres no top rogue deck list. The list would be constantly changing everytime the meta changes.
One trick I've been using is to use Sage with Eyes of Blue's effect on The White Stone of Ancients, or if I have an Alternative Dragon in hand, White Stone of Legend, basically giving me 2 free BEWD. One card I've been getting a ton of usage out of lately though is Ultimate Fusion. Being able to bring out Neo Blue Eyes with its 4500 attack combined with its effect of attacking 3 times, AND destroy up to 3 of my opponents monsters with 1 card has won me more then a few duels at this point. I've also found Blue Eyes Jet Dragon to be extremely useful as well, with its damage step effect of being able to return 1 card to my opponents hand, and its graveyard ability to special summon it back to the field, AND its other effect of protecting my other monsters from effects as long as I control a BEWD, it can really hang up some decks.
I was pretty fond of Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon and Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon back in the day as well. They're all Rank 8 Xyz monsters that require 3 level 8/9 monsters, but they can also be brought out by using a "Galaxy-Eyes" Xyz monster you control as material except for a card of the same name and you transfer over their Xyz materials, so you could first summon Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, who only requires 2 level 8 monsters, and then combo off of that. Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon enabled a really powerful combo against Xyz decks. You can detatch 1 materiel from it to take control of one of your opponent's face-up monsters for the End Phase at the cost of not being able to attack directly for the rest of the turn. The controlled monster has its effects negated, it's Atk becomes 3000, and its name becomes Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon. This is a powerful effect because, if the monster you grabbed was an Xyz monster, you could then use it as materiel to bring out other Galaxy-Eyes Xyz monsters, and in doing so, you could remove your opponent's boss Xyz monster in a way that most protection doesn't guard against while also gaining significant card advantage by using it as materials to cheat out your own boss monster. Once this Cipher had used its effect and stolen an Xyz monster, that's when you'd then bring out the following two cards at once (or just two copies of Full Armor since Dark Matter got banned for being part of an FTK combo eventually) Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon has a relatively meaningless ability to target 2 equip cards equipped to it and attach them as materials, but the more importantly, it has a destruction effect where you can detatch an Xyz material to target a face-up card your opponent controls and destroy it. And after it had done that, you could use it to combo into more Galaxy-Eyes monsters, or you could just keep it on the field into your Battle Phase to use as a 4000 Atk beatstick. If you comboed this card with Galaxy-Eyes Alternative White Dragon as part of the Xyz materials to summon Cipher originally, you could bring out two copies of Full Armor to remove even more cards and then combo one or more of them into Dark Matter, which was a combo that would almost certainly wipe your opponent's board of basically everything important from both their monster zones and their backrow, and then you could get all your card advantage back with Dark Matter. As for Galaxy Eyes Dark Matter Dragon, it was essentially the combo finisher, where you'd send 3 Dragon-type monsters with different names from your deck to the graveyard to force your opponent to banish 3 cards from their deck, and if you detatch an Xyz material from it, it can attack twice as a 4000 Atk beater. The first effect would usually allow you to gain a huge amount of card advantage, because you could send The White Stone of Legend, the White Stone of Ancients, and something else with a Graveyard effect into the Graveyard, which would allow you to search a ton of copies of Blue-Eyes from your deck and bring spent Blue-Eyes cards from the Graveyard back to your hand all in one move, and at the end of it all, you're still left with a 4000 Atk beater who can attack twice. And then you could use White Stone of Ancients to bring your Alternative back to your hand and summon it back to the field again for even more removal or even more beatdown, and if you have the revival card from the archetype (I forget what it was called), you could even extend this combo even further into something like Twin Burst Dragon. But, unfortunately, Dark Matter got used as the engine for the Gandora FTK, leading it to get banned, but it will always remain in our memories.

What about the "Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon", does it not fall into this category? Being able to dish out an almost unlimited amount of attacks each dealing 4500 damage is crazy, and is almost an instant win. Love that monster.
I prefer alternative ultimate to neo ultimate. Alternative White removes a card. Then you fuse with ultimate Fusion. Ultimate Fusion removes 1+ cards. Alternative dragon removes 3 cards. That's 5+ removal for fusion summoning one monster. Then it has protection and even if they do manage to remove it, they're still crippled and you're playing a graveyard deck loaded with 3k+ atk monsters.
I just learned I can use alternative effect pop a monster then if I have a blue white dragon on field I can go for twin burst oh my !! Thank you for this list!!
Hey there duelogs! Just wanted to say there is absolutely a way to trigger both effects of white stone of the ancients, on the same turn, turn 1. Chaos Emperor, the dragon of Armageddon, which works in blue eyes decks for this reason and a few others, can return a face up banished dragon to the hand. There are many ways to get it into the graveyard without even having to summon it, so once you get it back in the graveyard after using chaos emp’s effect, that same end phase you can use white stones other effect.

With this list and the last one, I want to talk about Cards of Consonance. You Discard 1 Dragon Tuner with 1000 or less ATK; draw 2 cards. It is usually used with The White Stone of Ancients or The White Stone of Legend to proc their GY effect. So here is a thought for a list; Top 10 cards that let you draw from your deck, but don't give you card advantage. Are there enough cards that do that? Or is it too niche for a list?
I used to have a weird combination deck that was based around destroying stuff, and my 2 boss monsters were from completely different archetypes: Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight and Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon. I would use polymerization to bring out the first one using White stone of the Ancients as the dragon material, then bring out a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, next turn i would use Fusion Recovery to send the polymerization and White stone to my hand then use Dragon knight's effect to discard to destroy a face up card on the field. I would then if i had a Blue-eyes White Dragon in my hand, fusion summon out Twin Burst Dragon, you can probs guess where it ended up...

successor soul saved me several times, nice combo with the maiden or the level 1 dragon tuners, triggering their effects on top of removing opponent's monster. good to have one or two IMO
I would be interested in a video like "Top Ten Stepping Stones", like in monsters you only Summon to go into another monster. Examples could be Cyber Dragon Nova, the Original Utopia or Outer Entity Nyarla. Or the lower level majakashi.
Big Blue Eyes Archetype fan. I still believe all they need to be really solid is an Archetype specific Fusion (in the vein of Red Eyes Fusion or Thunder Dragon Fusion) and/or solid XYZ boss monsters since they turbo out level 8s like no one's business.
Last good support we got was a few years ago. Would be nice if some of the support they give us was actually good Red eyes does have an alternative version that on paper makes it easy to get out, but with no red-eyes variant of melody of awakening dragon it’s basically useless because you gotta hard draw both components instead of searching them
For Melody of Awakening Dragon Anime Effect. It requires you to control Lord of D.(The King of D you're using lol) and you need to discard a monster to active. Granted you can search any 2 Dragons but still requires a bit more set up
My 2 favorite cards that you didnt mention here are 100% Maiden with eyes of blue (when combined with sage with eyes of blue, it can special summon 2 blue eyes cards) and Bingo machine, go! Which gives you 1 blue eyes white dragon monster or a spell that lists "blue eyes white dragon" from your hand to your deck.

@@coxxen sadly, even if they did, I doubt it would be good. The only thing good that came out recently for them was Dragoon, but even then it wasn't exactly support for them. It was just a fusion card that required them as materials. Dark Magician and Red Eyes have pretty much been forgotten by Konami, and you can tell. I'd eat my hat and scream in excitement if they did get amazing support though.

The recent Blue Eyes release such as Ultimate Fusion, Blue Eyes Tryant, Blue Eyes Jet has completed my non-meta deck!! (I was able to have the serious Blue Eyes cards with no duplicates.) It flows so well.
Never made sense that Pegasus made blue eyes support cards when only one person owned all 3 blue eyes in the anime

I'm saying make the "Alternative Dark Magician" based on Arcana's Dark Magician and build this retrain with effects designed the way an Alternative monster would be. Treat it like "Dark Magician" on field or in the GY, give it the same summoning condition as Alt. White, and give it some kind of useful effect Dark Magicians could use, be it Sage's Spell search (maybe don't let him search ANY Spell) or something else.

Reasons I loved using a Blue-Eyes deck on YGOPro
1) Hard to brick despite the reliance on Level 8 monsters
2) It was easy summoning Rank 8 Xyz monsters, Blue-Eyes can go into Rank 8's better than Gimmick Puppets could. Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon was my playmaker.
3) Blue-Eyes are effectively Dragon Rulers #2, some of the cards made for Dragon Rulers are applicable to Blue-Eyes like Return of the Dragon Lords.
4) Variety of options, Rank 8 Xyzs, Synthros - Blue-Eyes are not strangers to using Michael the Arch Lightsworn to banish a card then go into Crystal Wing. Fusions and Rituals, thanks to Chaos MAX, speaking of which, Dark Matter that used to mill dragons allowed for Chaos plays or revivals that resulted in lockdown like with Amorphage Dragon.
I like the idea of traps being recurrable infinitely as a trade off for being slow. Like I think Konami could make traps more card advantage efficient as a trade off for running traps.

Quickplay Spell
_Once Per Duel, you can tribute from your hand or field 3 “Blue-Eyes” Monsters with 3000 or more attack and 3 “Red-Eyes” monsters with 2400 or more ATK: For the rest of the duel, all “Blue-Eyes” monsters own are also treated as “Red-Eyes” cards, and all “Red-Eyes” monsters are also treated as “Blue-Eyes” cards. If your tribute monsters who’s original names are “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” and “Red-Eyes Black Dragon” for this effect, for the rest of the duel all “Blue-eyes” and “Red-Eyes” monsters you own have their original names also treated as “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” and “Red-Eyes Black Dragon”._

I always found it interesting that Blue-Eyes had synchros while Dark Magician had xyz monsters. I kinda wish they kept that going instead of going back to fusions for them. Not to say the support isn't wanted. I just thought that them focusing on different extra deck mechanics more fit the rivalry better.

How about top 10 gimmick/rogue decks that saw competitive success?
There are a ton. A huge part of tournament tops is by players with rogue decks. Thats because some of these decks have mechanics which heavily out the top meta deck at the time. Like lets say the best deck everyone plays is heavy graveyard reliant and someone plays a rogue archetype which is fantastic in denying the graveyard, the person with the rogue deck almost always wins.
Because rogue decks playability is dependant on the meta (you will have to play an archetype that counters whats played) theres no top rogue deck list. The list would be constantly changing everytime the meta changes.
I really like the single archetype lists so these videos are some of my personal favorites

One trick I've been using is to use Sage with Eyes of Blue's effect on The White Stone of Ancients, or if I have an Alternative Dragon in hand, White Stone of Legend, basically giving me 2 free BEWD.
One card I've been getting a ton of usage out of lately though is Ultimate Fusion. Being able to bring out Neo Blue Eyes with its 4500 attack combined with its effect of attacking 3 times, AND destroy up to 3 of my opponents monsters with 1 card has won me more then a few duels at this point.
I've also found Blue Eyes Jet Dragon to be extremely useful as well, with its damage step effect of being able to return 1 card to my opponents hand, and its graveyard ability to special summon it back to the field, AND its other effect of protecting my other monsters from effects as long as I control a BEWD, it can really hang up some decks.
Seto Kaiba would never allow his archetype of cards to settle for mediocrity and neither should you.
I was pretty fond of Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon and Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon back in the day as well. They're all Rank 8 Xyz monsters that require 3 level 8/9 monsters, but they can also be brought out by using a "Galaxy-Eyes" Xyz monster you control as material except for a card of the same name and you transfer over their Xyz materials, so you could first summon Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, who only requires 2 level 8 monsters, and then combo off of that.
Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon enabled a really powerful combo against Xyz decks. You can detatch 1 materiel from it to take control of one of your opponent's face-up monsters for the End Phase at the cost of not being able to attack directly for the rest of the turn. The controlled monster has its effects negated, it's Atk becomes 3000, and its name becomes Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon. This is a powerful effect because, if the monster you grabbed was an Xyz monster, you could then use it as materiel to bring out other Galaxy-Eyes Xyz monsters, and in doing so, you could remove your opponent's boss Xyz monster in a way that most protection doesn't guard against while also gaining significant card advantage by using it as materials to cheat out your own boss monster.
Once this Cipher had used its effect and stolen an Xyz monster, that's when you'd then bring out the following two cards at once (or just two copies of Full Armor since Dark Matter got banned for being part of an FTK combo eventually)
Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon has a relatively meaningless ability to target 2 equip cards equipped to it and attach them as materials, but the more importantly, it has a destruction effect where you can detatch an Xyz material to target a face-up card your opponent controls and destroy it. And after it had done that, you could use it to combo into more Galaxy-Eyes monsters, or you could just keep it on the field into your Battle Phase to use as a 4000 Atk beatstick. If you comboed this card with Galaxy-Eyes Alternative White Dragon as part of the Xyz materials to summon Cipher originally, you could bring out two copies of Full Armor to remove even more cards and then combo one or more of them into Dark Matter, which was a combo that would almost certainly wipe your opponent's board of basically everything important from both their monster zones and their backrow, and then you could get all your card advantage back with Dark Matter.
As for Galaxy Eyes Dark Matter Dragon, it was essentially the combo finisher, where you'd send 3 Dragon-type monsters with different names from your deck to the graveyard to force your opponent to banish 3 cards from their deck, and if you detatch an Xyz material from it, it can attack twice as a 4000 Atk beater. The first effect would usually allow you to gain a huge amount of card advantage, because you could send The White Stone of Legend, the White Stone of Ancients, and something else with a Graveyard effect into the Graveyard, which would allow you to search a ton of copies of Blue-Eyes from your deck and bring spent Blue-Eyes cards from the Graveyard back to your hand all in one move, and at the end of it all, you're still left with a 4000 Atk beater who can attack twice. And then you could use White Stone of Ancients to bring your Alternative back to your hand and summon it back to the field again for even more removal or even more beatdown, and if you have the revival card from the archetype (I forget what it was called), you could even extend this combo even further into something like Twin Burst Dragon. But, unfortunately, Dark Matter got used as the engine for the Gandora FTK, leading it to get banned, but it will always remain in our memories.

What about the "Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon", does it not fall into this category? Being able to dish out an almost unlimited amount of attacks each dealing 4500 damage is crazy, and is almost an instant win. Love that monster.
No protection and has a high investment to bring out
I prefer alternative ultimate to neo ultimate.
Alternative White removes a card.
Then you fuse with ultimate Fusion.
Ultimate Fusion removes 1+ cards.
Alternative dragon removes 3 cards.
That's 5+ removal for fusion summoning one monster. Then it has protection and even if they do manage to remove it, they're still crippled and you're playing a graveyard deck loaded with 3k+ atk monsters.

Hey there duelogs! Just wanted to say there is absolutely a way to trigger both effects of white stone of the ancients, on the same turn, turn 1. Chaos Emperor, the dragon of Armageddon, which works in blue eyes decks for this reason and a few others, can return a face up banished dragon to the hand. There are many ways to get it into the graveyard without even having to summon it, so once you get it back in the graveyard after using chaos emp’s effect, that same end phase you can use white stones other effect.

With this list and the last one, I want to talk about Cards of Consonance. You Discard 1 Dragon Tuner with 1000 or less ATK; draw 2 cards. It is usually used with The White Stone of Ancients or The White Stone of Legend to proc their GY effect. So here is a thought for a list; Top 10 cards that let you draw from your deck, but don't give you card advantage. Are there enough cards that do that? Or is it too niche for a list?

I used to have a weird combination deck that was based around destroying stuff, and my 2 boss monsters were from completely different archetypes: Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight and Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon. I would use polymerization to bring out the first one using White stone of the Ancients as the dragon material, then bring out a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, next turn i would use Fusion Recovery to send the polymerization and White stone to my hand then use Dragon knight's effect to discard to destroy a face up card on the field. I would then if i had a Blue-eyes White Dragon in my hand, fusion summon out Twin Burst Dragon, you can probs guess where it ended up...
3:05 Also, A sad disadvantage of Succesor Soul, is that it isn't searcheable by the Archetype
Don't forget using Cards of Consonance with White Stone of Ancients to draw 2 and then use its graveyard effects.

Big Blue Eyes Archetype fan. I still believe all they need to be really solid is an Archetype specific Fusion (in the vein of Red Eyes Fusion or Thunder Dragon Fusion) and/or solid XYZ boss monsters since they turbo out level 8s like no one's business.

Red eyes does have an alternative version that on paper makes it easy to get out, but with no red-eyes variant of melody of awakening dragon it’s basically useless because you gotta hard draw both components instead of searching them
For Melody of Awakening Dragon Anime Effect. It requires you to control Lord of D.(The King of D you're using lol) and you need to discard a monster to active. Granted you can search any 2 Dragons but still requires a bit more set up
My 2 favorite cards that you didnt mention here are 100% Maiden with eyes of blue (when combined with sage with eyes of blue, it can special summon 2 blue eyes cards) and Bingo machine, go! Which gives you 1 blue eyes white dragon monster or a spell that lists "blue eyes white dragon" from your hand to your deck.
