Wicked cushions last a very long time and are way more comfortable than the stock ear pads. The Bose QC 45 Wicked cushions fit on the new Bose quiet comfort.
Your video is incorrect You can adjust the EQ of the QC-45 also this came out years ago on a firmware update . And the new QC do sound warmer than the QC-45 , also the NC is a bit better on lower frequency.
This came out in 2023, it's interesting how the Bose QC35 II still is their best, as it was released in 2018. They re-reviewed it in 2023 on rtings and it got 8.0 in sound. This from 2023 on the other hand? 7.3... Sad. Oh well, glad I have the QC35 II's still!
I own a set of the QC35, QC35II, and just tried the Quiet Comfort…no a big difference overall…main use for me is to use while dong yard work or flying.
The biggest difference to me is that the QC35 II doesn't have the ambient aware, and that's my only problem with them. If there was an option to upgrade to a different firmware that would allow you to have the ambient aware, it would greatly improve my qc35 II...
@@JoeWilson175 ambient aware is super useful, let you connect with whatever is around you quickly without the need to take out the headphones. Because of that I bought the Sennheiser Momentum 3 at sale, not so good noise cancelation but an amazing sound performance and overall better quality.
Thanks for your video. It was quite helpful! I’m an early adopter of the QC35ii from when they were first introduced. They’ve worked great for years, but the only reason I’m planning to replace them is because the right ear has stopped working. I wanted to get them repaired by Bose, but instead of offering to repair them, they gave me a voucher to replace them with QC45’s. The new QuietComforts are on sale on Amazon, so I ordered them AND a pair of the Sony XM4’s (which are currently around the same price as the QC’s). Gonna try out the two. I’ll let you know how it goes :-).
Sad your QC35 II's stopped working. Def their best headphones ever still. QC45 is def better than the Sony XM4's. QC45 scores 7.6 in sound and Sony XM4's scores 7.2 in sound on rtings. Respectable audio tests.
Hi! Depends on fit and buttons. The new QC has the same fit as past QC45 and QC35. The 700 will sound a little richer with a more tight fit, doesn't fold down, and different earcups. Anc is pretty similar between the two now.
@@zojirushi1qc is better imo. It's the true iterative upgrade from the qc35 ii. The qc45 lacked the wind block feature which is a deal-breaker for me. It's basically a stronger NC, EQ able qc35. It also has ambient mode as well if that interests you.
Yeah i am upgrading to these. My qc35 were a work horse and i have not treated them the best as they now have a disgusting headband. These will replace them just fine. I am not getting the qc45 due to the lack of wind block. The Ultras sound better but having been a headphone phanatic in the past, when the honeymoon period faded, i always went back to my qc 35 for the comfort. I also love the Physical controls - My sony xm3 right touch pad failed after 3 2 years (just out of warranty). I think the qc are more comfortable than the ultra which will benefit in the long run! In the Uk the price difference is also fairly significant. I am fortunate to be able to buy the ultra if needed, but the button controls were irritating, something i don't want to deal with when the honeymoon phase ends. If i was soley into wireless audio i wkuld look at the px7/8 or sennhesier momentum 4. I value a well rounded experience though.
If you’re given the option to upgrade and trade in your qc35II for the new qc 2023 for free would you do it? Or would you rather keep the qc35II? My work is offering to do a free upgrade and exchange not sure if it’s worth it or not. Or if there are some glaring downgrades with the new qc 2023 vs the qc35ii’s.
Just ordered some quiet comforts, is it worth the extra $130 for the ultra? I think the only big thing that stood out to me was Spatial Audio but idk if that’s worth $100+ to me :’|
Hi! I definitely do not think the ultras are worth $130 more but if they are similarly priced, if you like the ultras overall fit compared to the qcs which are still the most comfortable earcups in the biz , they do sound slightly better imho.
right now i am looking at both of these...QC45 are 299 ( Canadian ) 218 ( US ) and the new QC are 379 ( Canadian ) 276 ( US ).....QC ULTRA 499 ( Canadian ) 364 ( US ).....which would you recommend as i am without anything currently....I need them for music and watching movies on my ipad.....great review by the way....thx....cheers from Canada
@@TheFrenchGlowthx for your response....i ended up ordering the new QC's due to they are offered on TSC at 31.00 a month interest free for 12 months....hope i made the right decision ... will be using them for music ? watching movies and utube on my ipad....
@@GOLFADDICT65trust me, the wind block feature is a big feature is often overlooked. It makes the qc45 useless outdoors in the UK where I am from. Other than that, they are basically the same. Better having wind block than not as it may come in handy when you least expect it, bit when you need it. Edit - they also have ambient mode too (I am not bothered about that too much though).
@@TheFrenchGlowonly thing is I need to replace the ear muffs due to natural wear and tear. Have you done this before. Also how do you you remove the smell from the headband?
They are not better than before. I just bought the qc headphones and they sounded pretty good until they started cutting off the sound randomly. I didn't like that so I returned them.

Not going to happen, unfortunately. I do think ambient mode is overrated though.

Can you turn off anc on the new qc? And can you set anc to low or high when you want to?
You can’t turn it off completely. However you can have profiles in which you can reduce the ANC levels and turn the wind block on or off.

The QC has the exact same audio driver (speaker) as the NC700. Just a more bassy eq out of the box.
Hi. Thanks for sharing and I hear that. Bose could have went with new drivers.
Would you choose these or the sony xm5 For academic usage? Mostly for listening to lectures online and noise cancellation when studying.
If you had to choose between the new QC and the 700 what would you choose?

No ActiveSense in Aware mode. Shame.

The in-ear models and the Ultra.
