is the Bose QC ultra noice cancellation much better than the Quiet confort ? I REALLY CARE NOICE CANCELLATION, do you think the difference is so big that I have to buy the ultra over the normal quiet confort ? considering that I also like the other ultra extra features over the qc

@@joshuaxbox21 Honestly its subjective to the user. Personally I dont notice after a few minutes of wear and the good definitely outweighs the bad on them. Some people are triggered by the hiss but it's barely audible to the point I dont care. I still to this day swap between wearing the ultra and AirPods Max and dont even think about it, in fact I forgot about it until this comment came up if that helps lol.

I have the ultra headphones, and i can say that they are very bassy, better or as much as xm4 that i used to have. They rattle my head.They are not neutral or flat at all. They are the most bassy headphones that i ever tried. Thank you for your review.

Imo, the sound of the ultra, even without spacial on, is way better than the qc, not the same speakers so i am wondering how they can sound the same...

100% agree the qc sound trash and when increasing the volume the bass is not felt at all
I have had both the QC35s and 45s and I was shocked how much better the Ultra sound actually is. They just seem to fill in the sound the other QCs were lacking. Very clear neutral, full sound. I really don’t plan on wearing for 18 hours straight and charging things is just a way of life so battery life isn’t a huge concern for me anyway..

I'm a bit confused, at 12:05 you mentioned ANC: QC > XM5 but at 13:21 you said XM5 > QC. Are they (QC and XM5) really similar or it's still noticeably different ANC wise?

For what it is worth, I bought the XM5’s yesterday and immediately returned them because I thought the ANC was worse than my QC35’s, and music sounded muddy and terrible. I exchanged them for the QC 2023’s (which were $75 cheaper, btw), and they are great. They aren’t vastly improved in ANC from my 35’s, but music sounds much, much better through the 2023’s than the 35’s or the XM5’s.
Please do a video between ultra, new quietcomfort and the good old qc35ii

@@kennethbader7573 I have the QC35's and upgraded to the QC45's which is essentially the same as the new QC's. The only difference that I can see is the ability to have 3 levels of NC on the new model vs its just NC on or 'Aware' (transparency). Otherwise they are identical. The NC on the 45's and new QC's are superior to the 35's. Sound quality is a little better on the 45/QC with EQ adjustments. Honestly for $199 on Amazon for the 45's it is a worthy upgrade. At $280 for the new QC is not a bad deal either. But you better hurry and make your decision because those Black Friday prices won't last long.
You are mentioning a Firmware Upgrade? I am on 1.5.4 on my Ultras, and a Firmware Update isn‘t offered.
Just picked up the Bose QC for $249 at Best Buy - What a Deal! The Cream color looks more luxuries than the Black. Sony XM4 was the same price, but QC's ANC worked better for me. XM4 vs XM5, I'd not spend extra $75 for the XM5. Watching the Drive to Survive on Netflix now. As someone who's been to many Races, I feel like I am on the track side with the QC now. Cheers.
Hi! I want to upgrade from the Qc 35ii, I'm between the Ultras and the Qc 45s, my main interest is the ANC and comfortability, i need to cancell the bass from my neighbors stereo, what do you recommend?. I usually use them while working from home.
I have the ultras and i love them. Anc is great and very comfortable
If they are stating that the battery life is 24 hours, then considering that it cannot be turned off, 24hrs of guaranteed batt life is freaking amazing. I will take that no problem especially when the other brands are not showing the claimed batt life during testing.

The immersive sound, soundstage and microphone quality of the QC Ultra is way better than the regular QC. I feel like you need to redo this review and check your settings on the device youvare using, because there is no way they sound similar at all.
As someone with a big head who is planning to use these mainly for the gym, what would you suggest? You mentioned the ultras have more "clamping force" which seems like a positive and a negative to me. A positive because it won't fall off my head as easily while exercising, but I also worry that it may end up being too tight and giving me a headache during my workouts. Thoughts?
I watched a video by 'Mark Ellis Reviews' yesterday, and he highly recommends the Bose in-ear Ultras. They have superb NC.
He did a direct comparison between the two from every aspect. I think they might be right for you in the gym, and they're cheaper from what I've seen...

right now i am looking at all of these...QC45 are 299 ( Canadian ) 218 ( US ) and the new QC are 379 ( Canadian ) 276 ( US ).....QC ULTRA 499 ( Canadian ) 364 ( US ).....which would you recommend as i am without anything currently....I need them for music and watching movies on my ipad...i am 58 years old.....great review by the way....thx....cheers from Canada
I would go for the QC45 unless you want the option for adjusting ANC in QC. QC Ultra seems way too pricey for the difference to me, a discount on the QC Ultra would be nice.
Dude the QC45's are $199 USD on Amazon RIGHT NOW. I own them. They are fantastic. The NC is spectacular and it even has an EQ to customize the sound. At this price, honestly, you can't go wrong.

Hi from an apple user bose qc ultra are the better option at least for me, they connect to two devices at once so my mac and iphone are the ones, the anc is way better than the airpods max, they're cheaper and more comfortable plus they have usb c not nasty lightning so I'm happy with bose on my Apple ecosystem
I just ordered my QC Ultra after using my Airpods Max for nearly 2 years. The airpods max sound great compared to my old QC 45 but airpod max's weight for flight or wearing more than 1 hour there's no comfort basically to an otherwise great sounding headphone. But I can't wait to test my QC Ultra and I hope they sound close to Airpods Max as I do like it's sound signature.@@chris_0209

Let me give you my opinion, the QC45 were a mess for me, I will not be getting the Ultras because of the size and is unnecessary, I been using the 2023 QC for a while and I can say WOW!!! an improvement from the 45s, the ANC is not painful anymore for some reason, sound is CLEAN like always, the bass is strong even at really low volumes, Gumcaddy says the bass is on the audible side, not physical and I can say that method works, I owe the Momentum 4, really great headphones, but I need to crank the volume a lot to hear the bass, with the QCs there is no distortion, I just put the bass slider to 8 and I can still hear the music crystal clear, Ambient is not the best but is tottaly usable, no complaints there.
in the last review you said they are worth the upgrade over the QC45 and here you’re saying they aren’t worth it over the QC’s. seeing as the QCs are basically slightly adjusted QC45’s…seems inconsistent
Its a price-to-value decision. For example, right now on Amazon the QC45's are $199 USD. The new QC's are $279 and the QC Ultra's are $379. How much 'value' do you get at each price point? My feeling is the $199 QC45's are a tremendous value. There is very little difference between the *new* QC's and the QC45's. The Ultra's do have several key features but only you can make the decision whether its worth the extra $180. For me, the answer is a resounding NO but you may really like the extra sound detail in the Ultra's.
If your looking to buy any just pay the extra 100 for the ultras because theyre differnt breed my son.
I bought the ultra's and had them for just under a month before returning them. ANC was fine when I picked them up but became gradually worse. Seems like the material in the new earpads deteriorates fast. Also had some multipoint issues, where the connection wouldn't resume music from the computer after talking a phone call. Never had such problems before with any multipoint device. Exchanged the ultra's for the QC's and they are basically the same cans as the 45's I already have. So will return these as well and just stick with the old trusty 45's.

I bought my BOSE QC45 two years ago and I still love them.
Yeasterday, I've been to my local electronic retailer here in UK, called "Currys" to test both the Ultra' and the OC's.
The Bose Ultra Quiet Comfort are in my opinion A M A Z I N G!!!. But for the moment I'm not paying £449, even that I want them desperatelly.
Today, because of the Black Friday offers I've bought a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4 for only £199. 😂😂😂

I ordered both headphones and tried them out intensively. The headphones definitely don't sound the same (like without immersive sound). the statement is definitely not true. the ultras have a clearer sound and nicer bass.

where do you get Dolby Atmos? but no they are not, last time i checked bluetooth does not support Dolby Atmos...however like any other headphones, you should be able to listen to Dolby soundtracks resampled to Stereo and luckily into binaural tracks

Lol it's not just a marginal upgrade. It's a massive upgrade in the sound quality department. The Bose QC Ultra is so much better than the Bose QC when it comes to sound quality. It's not even close. The Bose QC Ultra sound better than the Sennheiser momentum 4 also. Better instrument separation and deeper bass on the QC Ultras. Also when it come tp comfortability I found the QC Ultras to be more comfortable than both. The new Bose QC 2023 model sound worse than the QC 45. With immersive mode off the Bose QC Ultras sound so much better than all of them. I don't like the immersive mode. It sounds like shit to me. Interesting thing is I found the Sony 1000xm5 to have far more cabin pressure than the Bose QC Ultras.

Bose has a Quietcomfort SC model that comes with a soft case (hence SC) instead of a hard case. Sold at Costco (and maybe other places). I think I'd prefer the hard case.
