Hi everyone! I’ve received a lot of questions about my blazer in this video :) it’s my navy brooks brothers blazer that I’ve had for a few years now and was one of the first things I styled on my blog back when I was living in NYC. It’s still perfect and I love it so much. In case you’re a similar stature to me, it’s a 2P and fits PERFECTLY ❤️

Agreed. Sure, it's convenient, but looking beyond, they have bad working conditions for their employees and the return rate is so high that we can not talk about environmentaly conscientious shopping. Lazy hits the peg quite right, also in terms of mindset and not asking where and how your item got to you.

I think non-skinny jeans work mostly for taller and quite skinny people. I have an hourglass figure and quite strong thighs (genetically and from workouts). When I wear bootleg/straight cut jeans I look three times bigger than my size as I look as if my whole body is the width of my hips. I think everyone needs to find fits that suit them. If you don't look good in crop tops, get normal tops, if you hate yourself in wide jeans get skinny ones etc.

Your skin care routine would be helpful to many, I'm sure. When I was in my 20's, I visited a friend in Germany. I met her 60 year old mother who had the most beautiful skin. She dabbed Nivea cream around her eye area every day. I was so impressed I bought some while there. At the time it wasn't a widely available in the US. I began using it daily, part of a simple routine. I'm now in my 60's and the area around my eyes is free of lines and wrinkles. I'm now that mother with glowing, youthful skin.

I've worked in a nursing home for a long time. About 30 years ago we had a German lady that used Nivea and she had beautiful skin. On the other hand we also had a lady that would use A535 on her face and she also had beautiful skin.

That's what I've used as well. I've tried the lighter version in the white jar but didn't really like it. My recommendation is to get a travel size tin of the blue and see if you like it. It's quite thick. You might prefer the lighter version. I think I'd been using the original so long that I wasn't comfortable with the other. I'm sure it works as well. I've found the little blue travel size for 99 Cents.

I’m bad about buying cheaper items, but I have slowly turned that around. I was bad about buying everyday, staple pieces like T-shirts or just a “plain ol’ black/gray/navy sweater”. It was getting to where I was having to replace them more and more often. Stopped that. Putting more $$ into those staple pieces really does pay off. 👍🏼😊. Same for shoes.

I agree. The sense of hysteria created by these companies (mainly the “fruit” brand) is crazy. People queuing outside stores on launch days is even more preposterous. I keep my tech devices (yes, the “fruit brand) for as long as possible. I just don’t get the constant desire to change something that is perfectly ok, or maybe I’m just old 😆

My son upgrades through the company, so he gets a rebate on his old phone. It works better to get the newest because the longer you wait, the less your old phone is worth. Sometimes things that *seem* wasteful really are not. The old phones get recommissioned so it's all good.

Excellent video Audrey! I totally agree with buying better quality clothes through sales or discounts. I take good care of my clothes so Ive been able to donate lots of pieces still in great condition once they no longer suited my lifestyle or changing body (I’m retired now). But similarly, I love reading an actual physical book, so I try to buy books on sale or discounts, and I take care of my books and keep them for a long time, especially my Art and Design books! But I like being able to donate books that are “ one time reads” so that someone else can also enjoy them. And my weakness is Kitchen stores- I love browsing and have to drag myself away from buying more stuff that I don’t really have room for. I love your channel and keep up the great work you are doing!

What a great list! I'm not the most minimalistic person, by any means, but I have been becoming more intentional about my "stuff" over the years. I'm loving a life with less. I have a hard time with ereaders though, as most of my books are actually for my classroom library. I only keep a few books for myself that I really love and that show my interests off; for everything else, there's the public library. I think one thing I've noticed is that I've been reselling or trading in a lot more items, particularly with video games. Trading in games helps you recoup your losses (something digital versions can't do!) and they also don't contribute to digital clutter, which has been my struggle point recently. Anyway, thanks for sharing your tips. You always encourage your viewers to be more mindful and I appreciate that 😊

    Wonderful video!
I have come to realize that I will no longer buy “cheap” clothes that don’t have quality to them. I try to buy good quality clothes secondhand to be more affordable.
I don’t buy anything made of polyester now.
It is very nice to know that you don’t buy holiday decorations! I always feel overwhelmed by the consumer expectation that you have to decorate for the holidays. I like to have a Nativity, aside from a Christmas tree, or a small holiday centerpiece on the counter, but I don’t love filling my whole house with decorations. We just didn’t have money to do that as newlyweds. I don’t have holiday wreaths, or Knick knacks, so our house is not super festive to come to. But I do love a scented candle, or Essential oils diffusing during the holidays to bring the aroma in.

You are such a breath of fresh air on TH-cam. Some TH-camrs seem to be trying just a little too hard and sometimes give the impression of putting out videos just to get as much content out there as possible. You, on the other hand, seem so sweet and genuine and truly interested in the subjects of your videos. Your voice is so pleasant and soothing that there's almost something musical about it.

I would like to add a few items from my list:
    - wrapping paper - I use plain white paper or packing paper and add either a few colorful dots or something seasonal like leaves etc.
    - moisturizer/face cream - I only use pure jojoba oil on damp skin for everything and my skin has actually calmed down a lot
    - shopping bags/plastic bags - I have a tote bag folded up in my purse all the time so that I never forget it
    - female hygiene products - I have been using a cup plus a couple of period panties for some years now and I never want to go back to tampons or pads
    - envelopes and cardboard boxes - I resell many things I no longer use, so I keep the packaging from the things I buy and reuse it
    - jars - I regurlarly buy food that comes in jars anyway so I wash and keep them for storing
    - medication 'just in case' - I no longer buy medication in advance because I had to throw it out so often.
    - make-up palettes - I only buy single colors that I really love

Also I love decorating for Christmas. I'm 37 years old and i have decorations on my tree that I've had since i was a child and it's awesome. Obviously I've added to the collection but it all still fits in one box and I've used the same tree for about 10 years now and it still looks good as new. Regarding Christmas decorations: I decided to focus on just a few areas instead of smothering the house in decorations. You're right, it allows me time to participate in the season right from Advent to Epiphany. For me the areas I decorate are my white fridge which becomes my snowman; a small white Christmas tree in the bed area, with white snowball lights and tree skirt; a tray on my coffee table with a few things; an Advent wreath on my dining table with candles; a Christmas wreath on the front door. Ambient lighting galore!
