Lucky me. When my SF (Special Forces) team and I were going through a phase of deep jungle training, we had the great fortune of having local people leading us to a jungle camp where we would stay for 30 days. Something that I will never forget.
You have captured a lifestyle that will eventually disappear due to deforestation and the over population of the Earth. Thank you for taking me to a world without internet or greedy, selfish people. Thank you for your creativity and compassion for others.

Weaving, fishing, trapping, hunting, house building, fire making, cooking...a wide range of skills for living that most educated, modern people have long since forgotten. It's fascinating.

Excellent video without you I could not see The Amazon Jungle like this, the only time I went to Amazon Jungle was with Peru side with G-adventure Tours. Now I am 88 years old. and live in London, England.
Nic, those bugs would have stripped the flesh from my body within the first hour. Bugs love to attack me! LOL I'm sure that humidity was at 100% and the dew point measured high 80 to mid 90 . Your clothes were saturated. The birds, reptiles, fish, BUGS and people, were interesting .What an incredible journey !

Large areas of the Amazon have recently been discovered by pollen analysis in soil to be not as old as previously thought and that a few thousand years ago were actually grasslands and even astonishingly corn fields. Lidar maps now show large areas with fields and raised mounds.

Your images are beautiful. Many decades ago was in Nepal and wanted an image of a really dirty stream where people were washing clothes as well as relieving themselves. When I got the kodak colour prints it looked so beautiful. Images can be deceptive.

There are over 1000 Islands in the Philippines. I met my wife 40 years ago. Both of my children were born at home as she said " I am not sick only pregnant". Your images are beautiful. Many decades ago was in Nepal and wanted an image of a really dirty stream where people were washing clothes as well as relieving themselves. When I got the kodak colour prints it looked so beautiful. Images can be deceptive.
A real treat to witness! What a fine way to spend Valentine's day eve! The sounds were so rich with life, as were the scenes. Thank you for posting this visit to the tribes and their daily life ways. I have longed to do the same myself, even in my advanced years. After so many days out in the amazon did you ever get used to the bugs? You seemed so unassuming, yet composed through your journey.

My wife from the Philippines (a remote Island) weighs about 44 kilo's now 65 years old. American men and women ask me often where did I find such a good and beautiful wife. There are over 1000 Islands in the Philippines. I met my wife 40 years ago. Both of my children were born at home as she said " I am not sick only pregnant". There are females out there like this but be careful of scammers. I am an old man now but I had a beautiful live.
