      Hockey isn't floorball. No field player according to official IIHF rules can enter opponent's goalkeeper's area.

    It felt like the final was actually played between Sweden and Finland in the semi-finals, Czech had no chance in this game unfortunately.

    Sweden came really close to getting knocked out of the finals for the first time ever. And now once again they are the champions.

      Well only because they had to play the only real threat in the semis. Sure the other nations are getting better but its either Finland or Sweden that will keep winning for a few more years.

    Känns inte som ett gott betyg för sporten med 9-3 i en final tyvärr

      Tjeckerna spelade 3-3 i gruppspelet mot Sverige, med mersmak... Finland var väldigt nära att slå ut Sverige i semin... Att sedan tjeckerna inte riktigt fick till det i finalen, mot ett grymt effektivt Sverige är inte ett dåligt betyg för sporten. Vet inte vad bollinnehavet i finalen var men är ganska säker på att tjeckerna hade bollen klart mest i sina försök att göra mål, men de hade inte dagen helt enkelt.

    Growing up Canadian in the early '60s (Toronto), hockey was our religion. We played inside as well, but sadly, nothing this organized. But why aren't the goalies given sticks, or at least one or even two catcher's mitts? To my eye, it looks very strange seeing the keepers using only their bare hands. Otherwise, an awesome sport!

    • @kyleleon85
      @kyleleon85 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking the same thing. Seems like goalies are useless in this sport.

    • @Elijah_sk_
      @Elijah_sk_ ปีที่แล้ว +2

      a) goalies are very, very important in this sport (am I saying as an attacker/forward), they can do some crazy safes and ruin your best shots.
      b) goalies with sticks would be so, so funny :D we have to introduce that :D (again). i think to remember that in the early years of floorball, goalies had sticks. but not sure ^^ but it would be a big mess, slashing and high sticks everywhere, i think thats why they now defend only with hands, and thats enough imo.

    • @PoVerslaWe
      @PoVerslaWe ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was a goalie for almost 8 years and I can guarantee you the goalie has tremendous importance in games and that sticks and or mits would slow you down too much. The overall pace of the games and the shots taken on the goals are way to fast for that.

      As someone who plays a lot of Floorball this is a very misinformed opinion. Due to the size of the goals it would be almost impossible for the goalie to properly manoeuvre with a stick or catching gloves

    All 9 Swedish goals should have been disallowed because they were scored incorrectly. In at least 5 or 6 of them there was clear denying goalkeeper ability to catch the ball. It's against the rules. And those goals doesn't count. In other three there was foul by Swedish players, but ref didn't whistle them. Cheating by refs.
