Should the ball be travelling only forward in penalty? In number seven ball goes forward, backward and forward, when Niklas makes his sweep from right to left. So it should be ruled no goal.
There should be a time limit on how long time you have in the penalty shot. This is just stupid when they're walking slowly and then making fake shots from the middle of the rink.
221floorball is this a professional sport ir what? Are these guys former ice players? Injuries ended career and they are just staying involved? Looks cool just have never seen actual games/teams like this. Have seen the gear in stores.
@@jdhrap Hi jdhrap! Yup there are professional leagues, and the best leagues are those in Sweden, Switzerland, Finland and Czech Republic. However apart from a select few, for most players, the pay isn't sufficient, so most of them have day-jobs as well (or are students). The players are not retired hockey players, but train in the sport from a young age. Hope this helps! 🙂
If the attackers get a hockey stick, why can't the goalie have a goalie stick like ice hockey. Oh and a glove and blocker as well. This sport seems to favour the attacking player too much!
Because a goalie stick would just be in the way, the shots are too fast for a stick, you have more accuracy with your hand than with a stick as a goalie and faster reaction time. You also need to have your hands free to slide around better and faster, because it's a faster sport than hockey and the ball is passed around much quicker. If you only used your legs to slide around and switch sides you'd be way to slow. so a stick and catching glove would just get in the way and slow you down. I'd say it's balanced pretty well, good goalies still have an 80-90% save rate and when it comes to penalties more are saved than scored.
@@benjaminbronnimann3966 I totally disagree. Having played ice hockey and road hockey the goalie stick is very useful in blocking shots. Pucks are shot at extreme speeds too and road hockey is played with a ball just like this game. Still seems to me this game is slanted well in favour of the attacking player and you appear not familiar with how a goalie stick is used to great effect in the major sport of ice hockey.

Hi Jonathan! In the early days of floorball, goalies had a stick! But the rules have evolved such that goalies now only use their hands, without a glove (unlike ice hockey). If you watch more videos of floorball goalies, you will see that the techniques used are really unique and useful in stopping the ball. Heavy padding is also not required as the ball is lightweight and less dangerous compared to a hockey puck. In fact, not having a glove or stick allows the goalie to catch the ball and throw it out, which is a really useful skill in sparking counter attacks (we have a video of goalie throws, if you would like to see more). The rules originally were such that the ball could not move backward at any point during the penalty shot, but it has since changed in the past few years, such that the ball can move backward if the player's body is moving forward. Hope this helps! 🙂
@@221floorball OK The rule has been changed. I haven't payed attention to floorball for a while.
