I have two RCF Evox 8s and they crush every event I've ever done. RCF also seems to be the only brand that has figured out that a speaker pole is always better. The proprietary pole system for every other column array out there is incredibly limited. If that pole or connection breaks, you're screwed. Just the amount of speaker pole attachments and accessories I can use for my Evox 8s alone, make it worth it. And oh yeah, I can turn just the tops in any direction I want, lol. Not gonna lie though, I bet they do sound amazing! It is QSC after all, lol.
@@Justin_TheDJ I mean, these are for busking musicians...column arrays in general. Dj's simply need to learn how to properly EQ a sound system with a digital mixer. It's not that hard.

I’ve already compared them side by side to the evox12 and they do not compare. The evox12 are still louder and sound better. The Qsc do blow away the RCF J8 though.
Yea there is no way they sound better than the EVOX12. Affiliate link forced his opinion I bet. Well….if you didn’t EQ the EVOX12 then maybe but not likely still.
I'm not sure why it has effects but no app control. Imagine going back an forth to listen and adjust effect levels. Any hint they can add an app later? Maybe they are making sure that it works 100% right now.
How does it stack up against the evolve 50m? Also does it have a digital interface like the evolve series for EQ and effects along with squelch protection?
Lets see if QSC come out with a KC15 with 15" in the sub and 2x6"+High freq driver in the top ........... that could be a real killer on Maui44G2, Evox12, RCF NXL14A+sub combo etc. The KC12 IMO is the prettiest of all column-arrays
@@TylerMarletteNY I agree, some similarities yes, but dispersion is different.131dB hdl6a line array with a 700W RMS amp yes that is pro and probably not for the typical "wedding DJ", but 128dB nxl14A with "2100W PEAK POWER" could easily fit into the "wedding dj gear" segment, just look at the way RCF marketing let wedding dj Nick Spinelli demo the speaker on TH-cam, the choice between black AND WHITE that DJ´s want on their column array speakers. So no doubt RCF had wedding DJ´s in mind for the nxl14a. So I would call it a step down from the "pro level" hdl6a is, btw isnt hdl6a the tiny-tiniest line array module in the RCF line up. On RCF homepage nxl14a specs say "2100W PEAK POWER", why dont they tell us the lower RMS values? That dont look so pro, more like they try to please the usual consumer that just looks for highest wattage (peak power). Anyway maybe a KC15 cant beat a nxl14a+sub15ax on spl dB, but things like coverage 145° H x 35° V (KC12), aesthetics/look, weight etc also count to be a wedding dj column array killer.
I didnt get a chance to compare them to the LDs, but I lined them up next to the RCF Evox 12s and they are pretty comparable on the low end. On the high end they blow them away.
Just get yourself a pair of the RCF Evox and you won’t have to worry about the sound or quality. One thing I’ll admit is that I really like the sleek look on these but I prefer the sound of RCF.
This setup is essentially a K8 over a ks112 blended into a column array. I predict this QSC speaker to be a "SCREAMER" just like the rest of their products. 🤔
I went to guitar center again today. I have been going there last couple to purchase an array speaker. I am not a professional DJ. I was listening to l1 pro 8 and pro 16 as well as yamaha stagepas 1k mkii. Then, I asked the guitar center how much is the qsc array speaker because there's no price tag. He was confuse and never seen it and he found out it just drop on the market. Both of us listen to the qsc kc12 and it was such a clean sound! I only put a little over half volume on my phone and my treble was 12 o clock and put the subwoofer to boosted, it got soo loud like extremely loud. Way better than the l1 pro 16 and i was about to buy the l1 pro16 I am thinking of buying it even though I am not a professional DJ. I am just going to use it for home and house party with 30 people max. Is that overkill? I just don't want buyer remorse..

If someone sent me $4000 worth of speakers I'd build them up based on first impression, but I'd feel obligated to do a later video reviewing how they have performed after I used them for a while. Hopefully that's what happens here. It's hard to trust a review that doesn't have anything bad to say about the product, especially when we already have a flooded market of line arrays and they all have the same downside of paying for look or convenience over sound output.

Great for indoor applications at moderate levels for clarity and not loudness ; marketing these to DJs for EDM is a mistake. Playing for extensive hours will not only stress the top end but will also stretch the miniature cones. When you decide to listen to music at low levels, you’ll begin to here the speakers flap due to high level wear. The RCF NXL 14 in this category is by far superior, however, are also vulnerable to the above mentioned. EDM and club music is best and reserved for professional sound systems.
