  • The main focus of our 2024 campaign was stigma in gynecologic cancers.
    Stigma, defined as a set of negative and often unfair beliefs that a society or group of people have, is something that all cancer patients may face. But due to societal and cultural factors, including misogyny or ageism or taboos about discussing reproductive organs, it may be even more frequently endured by patients who have been diagnosed with ovarian, uterine/endometrial, cervical, vaginal or vulvar cancer.
    We wanted to shed light on stigma and lift the burden of stigma in gyn cancers and help patients worldwide live a more fulfilling life, free of stigma.
    The campaign focus was:
    on different gyn cancer symptoms and prevention
    on the importance of early detection
    encouraging women to go for a check-up, understand gyn cancer symptoms, and to dare to ask their doctor about them
    addressing the stigma in gyn cancers, confronting any shame connected to it, and lifting up patients’ voices
    "There is no shame in asking the doctor."
