I think you might need to find someone to deal with the bot problem
For the third trap (timestamp 13:24) I think white can mess up this line by playing Bb5+ instead of Bb3 to defend the pawn. If white plays Bb5+ and you block with the pawn it doesn't allow you to play the eventual Qd3++ and if you block with the knight you can't play the fork Nc2+. What do you recommend?

I've been playing the Rousseau for years with great success. The other day I checkmated a 2000 rated player on move 11.
Wow
Igor. love your enthusiasm, generosity and bad-ass gambit lines! You’re a highlight of the online chess community! Thank you!
Glad you enjoy it!

Playing this in 2/1 games all the time and so much fun, thanks Igor!!
Thanks for the great chess lessons, Igor!
Your enthusiasm, Your abilities, You are such a GREAT !!! GREAT Teacher !!! Thanks GM Smirnov !!!
I love this Gambit, along with the Luccini and the similar Jaenish against the Ruy Lopez, for blitz and bullet. Especially as I play the Vienna as white. I feel that the very sharp lines improve my tactical development and piece coordination. I always played the Caro before, but now that's just for slower time controls.
I love Gambits, and this is certainly a good Gambit to learn, thanks for the video, very educational and entertaining.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Super cool brainstorming ideas. Love it
Thanks 🙏
I have played this gambit since the last video on this gambit, and it's been very useful.
I definitely have to play this Rousseau Gambit and try this traps, so much fun! Cheers,
I love your videos, they are very interesting, educative and entertaining. Please continue.

I played the response to white's e4 just as you described and got the checkmate with Qf3 exactly as shown! Totally pumped by that!

A huge thank you Sir Igor, Rosseau Gambit really helped me climb up ratings ❤
This is one of the most fun gambits I have come across in a very long time
Thank you as always GM Smirnov.. your videos are always fun to watch and learn from
Great!
Now ,338k people know this Gambit 😅
Lol now its 554k
Brilliant counter opening sir... I request for more video, like other advance opening...godbless.
It's very useful for even advanced players. Thanks
I love it and have to remember these steps to give it a go 😁💪👍
I like the way you teach, I've learned a lot
Hi Igor ,thank for these contents.I have a a doubt about the second line After Bc5 if White plays Nc3.Thank you
Great idea thank you
I really enjoy your opening tricks and ploys
Finished in 14 with Qxh3#. White tried a Queen defense where a double check forced White to defend with and lose the Queen. Was a lil worried about an early Qh5+ but the wide open fried liver was too tempting for White to pass up. Good stuff!
something interesting to learn :) Thanks..is this noted somewhere so I can repeat if to memory?
Very well explained as always great job
Glad you liked it!
Love your work Igor! This is my favourite gambit it rocks!
😀
❤ I've total like this video, and I TOTAL learned a lot of good move moves I've experienced.
I love the Rousseau gambit, i started playing it after the first video when i had Elo 1750 and it brought me a lot of victories. When i reached Elo 1900 i started facing 4.d4 more frequently, and lost a couple of games. I got destroyed on the dark squares. But now in this video you show you can take on e4 and go for a risk/reward set up. I tried it, 3 times, and 3 times i won. Highly satisfying to win with this gambit and i can confirm it works against 2000 elo players. Your videos are the best, i hope you make a lot more
I played in the 1600-1750 range in Scholastic Chess, and I had many victories off of the Danish Gambit for white. Even games that I lost were a lot of fun to play.
Good I learn a lot in this video thanks sir for guiding
Thank you Coach🙏 please make video like this about vienna gambit, all lines 😁
Oh... superb Gambit...and nicely explained... thee cheers
Hi Igor, what advice would you give if after f5-d3 , Bc5-Kc3??
Igor - you are awesome in what you do ! Your energy makes these learning videos interesting and that much more fun !!! Heartfelt thanks on behalf of all the kids who are learning from your videos
Happy to hear that!
GM Igor, this is really a deadly opening as Black can be brutal. Thanks for sharing.
Igor.. you are a star! - Thanks for sharing.
Great job!!
Very informative
Really cool stuff!
I was doing Dura's Gambit that transformed to this very trick. The opponent maintained the H file with his rook. I never thought of the idea to re-route my knight and force him leave the G-File. We ended up killing each other's rook. However, I won the game due to him not getting the chance to castle and save his king. I also admire your idea of first capturing the white's Bishop before forking the king and the rook. Thanks mate.
nice tricks for bullet game, i've always loved your content
Thank you, Igor. I love this opening as it gives several different possibilities. I appreciate learning from you.
Glad to hear that!
the fact you said gangster while talking about chess made my entire Monday, thank you, your videos are very helpful for low rated players like me.
I like the way that you demonstrate that the response to a threat is multiple threats back.
There's almost always, at my very low level, an emotional reaction to the N fork on c2. Thank you for showing me how I can exploit this.
Igor you make the best chess videos
Great video
Incredible... ❤
@9:20 they are more likely to move knight to take rook, because its also a check
worth thinking through scenarios like this though
Sir which category does you select in the category option of video in yt studio
Excellent
At 1:05 it is possible to play Nd4 because if you take the knight Queen h5 is possible with +3,6. After Nd4 is the correct move Nf6 with equal play.
he also said ng1 the only move in the last video where he showed this trap... i dont know why he always is wrong in this part but im not a gm. if white plays nd4 black got a big problem.. but if we just ignore it no one plays it? ^^ i dont get it. stockfish cant handle the situation if nd4 and nxd4 but who is this stockfish to tell us what is good or bad. as a gm he shouldnt say Forced to go Ng1 because thats just 100% wrong.
This looks like the Gambit I'd want to try whenever possible.
I kept getting confused mid game with rat formation. But this is pretty clear what the lures and counters are.
WoW Ang galing naman 🤣 salamat po
Thnx a lot
hey Igor, what if in this position 0:39, white plays d3 and i play bishop c5 and then they capture pawn exf5, what would be the best way to play around that, because it seems like that f file pawn is pretty important in the attack. i would assume push d pawn to d5? but idk
Again a great video,i love so much all this trick videos for all yours videos teach to me differents way to push your attack into the next level and even again computer or higher players level,i find it give to me so many options if i can only survive to the more strong players,in the beginning moves, somes games i am able to turn this to victory but it is not always a walk in the park but always thoses games are really funny to play!!Like Tartakower said it is the player which not made the last error which win the game!I like play chess for this kind of games!Thank you!
Really good ,these traps are so effective and cunning ,please explain BxN
Love it ,so much fun
Just got into chess. Will be studying all your videos....slowly lol. Thanks for the content.
That was wicked!
I highly recommend the other two videos about this gambit. I love this gambit, it helped me win so many games in beautiful ways
Glad it helped!
Thank you Igor, I have tried your tricks and it wonderful.
Great job!
Many of your recommendations are great. But, they do not cover all the scenarios and I have noted people in my rank zone (~1200-1300) are able to counter these moves at times with scenarios not covered by you.
But, can't deny your videos are very helpful :) Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us.
One of the best Chess pages on TH-cam.
Wonderful!
btw, i am glad that you've speak about the d4 reply
thank you very much
simple Q I seen your masterclass and lot of your video's but one thing does puzzle me. I like lot of openings fe but are useless because i have player against that willing to sac his bishop for knight, lot of games fall apart, you do control middelbord but miss the knight then to defent it and leter to make some danger even tho he sact his bishop, you can half secure your king to put on other color and in need force a stale mate. but how to respond if knight is taken
That's a great one I have to remember👍
My favorite opening! I'm a gambit head, and my 2nd favorite after this one is the Englund gambit: Hartlaud-Charlick variation.
can you show what to do in the line that you let them fork you but instead of blocking checkmate threat with pawn or castling, they protect the pawn with their queen.
Thank you very much. I really love to play the rousseau..
Enjoy
Good stuff
Amazing
Quite😮 superb moves ' Excellent...clap,clap,clap...
Thank you for your videos I really learn alot and have been winning more since using what I learned
👍
I am going to pick this up right away, these kinds are perfect for blitz games
To the situation at 4:45 i come often when i start with the bush gass gambit. Its great, so i can play stafford or rousseau. Also for white i prefer bishops opening, that leads to various cool lines.
love it! ;)
Hey! So I finally got this variation and pushed the pawn up to kick the knight back, but assumed the they would bring their queen to E2. So I pushed the pawn up to kick back the Bishop. Thoughts after that? 😅 thx!
Igor @2:45 doesn’t knight to e5 instead of d4 trap the queen immediately without needing to involve the bishop?
Excellent Gambit!
Thank You Sir
You make me love chess
Very nice
I learned this gambit from your videos and I always play it with high success rate. This opening just bewilders the opponent.
Very nice 👍
LOVE this, it is a better version of the Latvian gambit, which I love to play!
At 9:29 after knight takes d4 if white plays bishop g4 attaching my knight how should I reply pls reply
Super awesome moves.
great opening but needs strong nerves! It appeals to me as it leads to many complications. I play a lot of blitz chess and so you dont have a lot of time to think so this opening might be worth a try. Thanks for your excellent exposition.
