The King’s Gambit is a chess opening that arises after the following moves: 1.e4 e5 2.f4.
White offers the f-pawn to divert Black’s e-pawn. If Black accepts the gambit, White has two main plans.
    1) The first plan is to play d4 and Bxf4, regaining the gambit pawn with central domination.
    2) The other plan is to play Nf3 and Bc4, followed by 0-0, when the semi-open f-file created after a pawn push to g3 allows White to attack the weakest point in Black’s position, the pawn on f7.
A drawback for White is that he weakens his own king’s position, exposing it for Black to deliver the annoying Qh4+ (or …Be7-h4+). With a black pawn on f4, White cannot usually respond to the check with g3, but if the king is forced to move, then it also loses the right to castle.
In this video, the RCA Academy Manager Angelos Kesaris analyses some of the interesting games from this opening. He explains how powerful this opening is for White, especially for games with shorter time-controls; i.e. blitz and rapid games.

the main thing you need to remember in King's gambit is- You need to have courage, without it you can't play this! you need to sacrifice pieces maybe 2 or sometimes 3, but your ultimate goal is to checkmate the king and yes, you need to think tactically, practice games, and yes you are gonna achieve your perfection😊

    1) Nf4 --> g6 (check); Kg7 (if black's pawn takes the knight, it's mate in 1, Qh7 instantly wins, as white's white square bishop controls g8)
    2) Qh6 (check); Kf6 (only possible move for black)
    3) NxR (discovered check); Ke7 (only possible move for black)
    4) Qg7 (check); Ke8 (only possible move for black)
    5) Qf7 (mate)
    Nice puzzle!

      What if instead of 1. ... hxg6, Black finds 1. ... Kg7! ?
      My analysis:
      2. Qh6+ Kf6
      3. Nxf8+ Ke7
      4. Qxh7+ Kxf8 (or alternatively Ke8)
      5. Qf7#
I think that would be the only solution if Black can find Kg7! to avoid 2. Qh6#.

    I had the position at 20:47, but instead of d4 I developed my bishop 5 Bc4 g5 6 0-0 g6 7 Nd4
What happened next is kinda irrelevant, as my opponent played ...Qh4, which looks like a blunder to me, and then his defense began to crumble when I captured the pawn with my rook. But are the previous moves valid ? I am afraid I'm missing something, as I did not play as recommended in here.

for the last check mate...white plays KnG6+, afte King G7, Queen h6+, black king f6, Queen takes Bh4+, black king takes KG6 then Queenh6++ that's check mate in 4 mooves! Is that right?

@7:18 The first winning move I saw was a "blitz game" win with 1.N-d3 which is what i would have played in a bullet game with minimal time to make my move; as it would suffice for the win (2.NxQ is next), and precious seconds are saved on my bullet chess clock. Moral of the story: when you play high speed chess time controls, you have to take the first winning move you find, as the clock has highest priority, just as in two minute drills in NFL football games.
