    I haven't niched down fully since going freelance, and I'm glad I didn't to start! It allowed me to figure out who I didn't want to work with, what projects I enjoyed most, etc. Now that I've had time to really ground myself in freelancing, I'm working on refining my niche more.
    Great video!

      Amen to this. I feel like more often than not you don’t choose the niche, the niche chooses you. I think it’s smart to give it time to find what you like most and what you do best! Thanks Grace!

    Im very new to webflow development and i have a goal to start my freelancing career very soon.
    I have been thinking about niches a lot. I have a deep fascination with user psychology + conversions and really would love to offer that as a service.
    So my niche would be SEO + Conversion. Target the correct market effectively, get them engaged with the website, and have a high conversion rate.
    The only thing I’m stumped on is how do i track that? Like how do i track conversion from home page to sale? If the potential customer gets to their contact page, how do i know if it converted? I could do more research here for sure

    Is positioning yourself as a webflow designer + 3D designer a combination you would recommend? How would you set yourself apart this way?

    • @PaytonClarkSmith
      @PaytonClarkSmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think this is great! I think an even more powerful combination would be to learn how to animate your 3-D designs using webflows animations. This can make for a powerful combination!

    • @clarkkent3864
      @clarkkent3864 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PaytonClarkSmith omg I can't believe you replied. Thanks man!
      Animating in 3D using lottie is tricky because the file sizes are huuuge ( like 20 MB for 4 seconds, perhaps just usewebflow background video elements)
      My dillema is that I don't know who needs webflow+3D . Location and industry niching is easier to figure out.

    Hey Payton, awesome video as i've been pondering upon this myself in the past few weeks. I'm thinking of getting into the Personal Brand space. I think with the rise of social media and influencers, personal brand is a potential niche to grow into. What do you think?

    • @PaytonClarkSmith
      @PaytonClarkSmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love the idea! I think this Is a really good niche for exponential growth because once you land one good influence her client tons of other influencers are going to see your work. You might even try to go one or two levels deeper and target specific types of influencers

      way too big of a question, google the answer. webflow is no code focused, personally I am more of a purist, I want FULL control over my websites, in addition Hosting websites is an absolute must for web designers as it gives you an additional/ongoing revenue stream. Winner: Wordpress
