To avoid the lumpiness feel of the gold foil, do your top coat. After you cure it, buff your nails until you get them to the smoothness of your liking. Then do your top coat again!this trick works great!

Can you recommend me a kit that has everything that I will need to do gel x nails? I already have a UV lamp but I don't know what to buy for gel x. Can you help me?
Hey! Thank you so much 💓💓💓 so I love Aprés Gel X products but they are on the pricier side. They do have full kits that will have everything you need to get to started! For a cheaper/ more beginner friendly option, the brand Beetles sells gel x kits on Amazon as well! Hope that helps 🫶🏽

Thank you for your helpful advice. I had to start doing my own nails bcuz the price of a fill in went from $15 to $45. I’ve watched nail techs do my nails for 17 years and I figured I should give a home kit a try. Thank you so much for your help dear. 💜🫶🏽🫶🏽

i think that would make it hard to hold the nail in place while it cures unless the bottom comes out? you can buy the gooseneck style for under $20 though!

I love really got into it during the pandemic since it was the perfect hobby to keep my mind occupied. I originally tried out polygel but gel x nails were so popular I decided to try them and I’ve just been practicing and doing my nails ever since ☺️
Can you please try hard gel in jar under the nails. I have tried this method so many times with so many different brands and tons of prepping but my nails never last.
Definitely extend gel bc it is considered a soft gel and it’s what’s recommended with gel x nail tips! Builder gel will work but it’s definitely something to use more to strengthen and extend your natural nails without nail tips
I have found that you still need to etch these half matte or "pre etched" tips. I use my e-file because it's the method that's always worked for me. But some people use acetone, too. It's cheaper than a dedicated tip primer and does the same thing! :)
