I don't doubt that having a wall of snow & ice bearing down on her was a harrowing incident, as was seeing several other climbers swept away to their deaths right in front of her - but times of greatest danger are the most important times to keep a cool head & even temperament. But she was screaming, crying for others to "Go help them" - when they were beyond all help, being deceased already.. She caused others in her group to become terribly upset as well. She fell apart, endangering everyone on her team - the last kind of personality I'd want to take into the mountains with me. This lady was upset but kept her head.

No. My sister lost her then boyfriend in a deep crevasse in the Himalaya. His body was never recovered. And she had a foot amputated after a bivouac for two days in the Alps after being caught in an avalanche. And I'm scared of heights myself. I prefer to cycle and play football !

This is not the death zone... It is the ice fall. There are three base camps beyond this point. The death zone is beyond camp 4 and close to the summit. There are no ladders beyond camp one.

multiple people have made it to the summit with no oxygen. Same with K2. Definitely much more difficult and much. let dangerous, but it’s been done and it’s possible, it’s not an instant death sentence with no O2.

They make aluminum scaffolding thats light weight can extend to 16’ to twenty feet.Everytime i watch how sketchy it looks like walking on top of a ladder.u could even modify the otherside of it make it into a ladder when needed
@@sairam1251yes death zone is the term used to refer to the heights above 8000m or 8km and above where the oxygen pressure gets very low and it's very hard for humans to survive after a certain period of time. Due to the high altitude the air pressure is low and it will be harder for your body to carry out normal body functions. So the more time you spend there the closer you move to death . Hence it's called death zone.

i've seen and read enough cuz i'm planning a high altitude trek. 8k mountains are more mental, planning and etiquette than anything else, and a nine year old could walk a 4 step straight ladder. plenty of people have succeded climbing these mountains, they're usually not egomaniacs and instead thoughtful and well prepared of the elements and route

we have been blessed with an amazing and exceptional planet with plenty of oxygen & food but people are still looking for the opposite / most unliveable areas. People should learn to resort nature. this what you are given by nature and accept it.

i've seen and read enough cuz i'm planning a high altitude trek. 8k mountains are more mental, planning and etiquette than anything else, and a nine year old could walk a 4 step straight ladder. plenty of people have succeded climbing these mountains, they're usually not egomaniacs and instead thoughtful and well prepared of the elements and route
