    Seeing how Jessica groomed her children is so disturbing.
    When her child is screaming at their father over the phone, you can tell the child has been groomed to speak like this. No young kid says “my opinion” “you’re disgusting” - they were clearly being taught specific language to use.

    • @squeaktheswan2007
      @squeaktheswan2007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +457

      Jessica likely did all this because her kids were easy to control and always went along with her, so she manipulated them to make it so that they would stay loyal to her. She trained them to beg not to be sent to their father when recording fights. You can see it in the final video by Jessica.

    • @carolinacoreas7716
      @carolinacoreas7716 2 ปีที่แล้ว +200

      It makes me so sad because something similar happened to my family. My mom is also most likely a narcissist (she is diagnosed with codependency), and when my parents got in a fight, my dad left for California on my sister's birthday. Reasonably, we were all mad at my dad, however, my mom turned out to be the worst person out of both of them and it took me years to realize it. It took me witnessing her egging him on, instigating arguments and fights, dehumanizing my dad and then comparing me with him on how shitty of a daughter I was, even though I never offended her or gave her any issues for 5 years after this happened in order to realize that my mom was the problem. She expected us to win fights for her against my dad because she's always the victim. When my dad was in California, my mom made us call him and tell him that we didn't want him to return, that we didn't want him in our lives anymore.
      Now, I know my dad isn't a good person either, he was physically abusive towards her at the start of their marriage, and he was not loyal to her. For many years I only felt indifferent to him as he was never emotionally available for us, but he's not the person who practically manipulated my sisters and I and made our lives now more difficult because of it. He recognizes what he did wrong and he's paying for it by having kidney failure and never being able to leave the house that imprisons both my parents. He's trying to redeem himself to me, and yeah, it's hard, he should've started a long time ago. I still feel indifferent to him, but I don't feel the same animosity against him as I did when I was a child. He's not the one who is actively trying to ruin my future.
      For a long time, I was forced to take my mom's side without any space for my own opinion and no space to share how I felt about them. This situation with Jessica and the children just hit hard because it reminded me of the trauma I can never bury. It reminded me of a time when I had no voice of my own and no way to protest my situation for the betterment of my sisters' lives and my own. No child ever deserves to have a parent like her. No child ever deserves to be used as a weapon or leverage. I really do hope they are okay now, even if they also carry trauma.

      What? Young kids can & do say that something is "their opinion", especially if they're well-spoken &/or well-read!
      *I* feel more concerned about the overall venom & vitriol they spew out -- because they KNOW deep down that their father's a good man who loves them, & vice versa! They don't really hate him, but their mom has brainwashed then into saying those dreadful things to their poor dad! :-(

There is no way that he would have voluntarily sought help because that is part of the mental illness. His family's hands would essentially be tied if they tried to seek help for him.
      I don't see how we create a system that allows us to force help on mentally unwell people without that system being abused to lock people up when they should not be. Reminds me of the video of cops giving a ticket to a mother with her kids in the car and her refusing to take it, before driving off and starting a high speed pursuit. Eventually, the police get her to stop, and as soon as she does, her kids start getting out of the van already with their hands on their heads and begin dropping to their knees and lying face down. I can't be certain, but it always suggested to me that this wasn't the first time these kids had been with their mom when she got arrested. Sad.

      This has nothing to do with intelligence. Jared is an almost prototypical case of schizophrenia. He could be genuinely smart or not, but that has nothing to do with his delusional ramblings. Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness causing most notably hallucinations and delusions. Schizophrenics don't live in the same reality as others. What he says makes no sense to us. It makes sense only in his delusional world. He may very well believe he is exceptionally smart because in his reality most people really are illiterate. The thing about hallucinations with schizophrenia is that you don't see them as such. To a schizophrenic the hallucinations and delusions are just as real as everything else.

It resonates with me a bit too much, because I had a similar situation with an ex-girlfriend and her mother. Changing homes, not paying rent, avoiding work, manipulation, brainwashing and overall toxic atmosphere. It came to the point that they were trying to manipulate me, to give them large sums of money for "career purposes" at the same time telling me that my career in music is a poor choice (because TH-cam won't get me anywhere, lol). She groomed her children to film an argument that she sparks up, she manipulated them to hating their father when he just wanted to get them away from that deranged woman.

My mom's van broke down a while back and instead of asking for help with the cost of repairs she just took out another loan. Of which she had already taken out many more for other things she should have asked family for help with.

      The courts did not give them to her.
      I know of several men who were granted full custody of their children.
      Their ex wives/girlfriends were terribly unfit mothers who didn't deserve to have full custody of the children.
      Thankfully a judge was able to see that in these specific cases.
      Unfortunately, in one of the cases, the father who received full custody wasn't much better of a parent than the mother was.
      Ultimately, the children in that case were made wards of the state and placed in the foster care system.
      Thankfully, the three children were able to be raised together and are all three decent, responsible adults who now have happy marriages and children of their own.

    The most disheartening part about a lot of these videos is that they weren’t crazy unstoppable forces of nature they were terrible events that could have been stopped and had clear signs leading up to them but our current institutions fail so terribly at doing so. No proper help I’d given to those with mental issues, courts fail to prosecute criminals or help children in danger, and law enforcement fails at stopping criminals and rather cleans up the mess they make. It’s so terrible how many of these cases could have been prevented if we were just better at handling these situations.

    • @qmaster5546
      @qmaster5546 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      For the case of the pilot, the fact that his family could tell he had mental health issues leading up to the crash, I agree, it should have been reported and he should have gotten some sort of help. He seems like he would have more than likely consented to the help but you can't really say for sure. For the second guy, 100% he should have been, to be completely honest, locked in a mental institution or at the very least forced to take some counseling. He was very clearly waaaaay off the deep end. However, in the Indigo Mystic case, from what I understand her mental issues only started to show themselves later in her life after she lost that court case. What help could possibly be given to her at that point, humanely, without her giving consent? If she doesn't seek help, she really can't be helped. The courts did the right thing by granting custody to the father and did everything in their power to help the children, they can't really control the fact that she fled with the children so they wouldn't be taken away. How was law enforcement meant to stop her if she wasn't a criminal? Law enforcement isn't able to prevent criminality because you can't predict criminality; it's only once you become a criminal that law enforcement can step in. When she ran away with her children, she became a criminal. Her first run-in with law enforcement as a criminal, she opened fire on police officers. There's nothing more they can do except "clean up the mess" by shooting back at her. I wouldn't say any of these cases are indicative of our institutions failing considering none of this could have been dealt with better, aside from forcing the second guy to get mental help. I'm not really sure where your problems with the court or law enforcement came from here.

      Put yourself in the place of CPS workers. You follow 50 or whatever families where the kids are at risk. The foster care system is very patchy and broken…at best kids are often moved every few months, at worst, a few caregivers just want a pay check, or to abuse kids themselves, and there have been a few cases where kids were taken from parents for drug use, placed with a foster family, then killed by a foster parent.
      Without hindsight..which if those 50 kids, all of who are at risk, will be killed or harmed by their parents….if any?? These videos were infuriating, but sadly….crazy moms or dads trying to turn kids against the other parent is not that unusual.
      And if you do guess right…and prevent a child from being hurt, everyone will despise you: kids naturally love parents and believe they would not really hurt them, or that is so, that they provoked it, and bad parents think their kids are taken away unjustly, and no one will ever know you prevented a tragedy.
      And if you guess wrong, people will blame you as much as the abuser.
      If you can see the future and know which child will be hurt and which family will get better, and you can legally prove that, then you owe it to kids to work for CPS…you will need to pay for the schooling, and it won’t pay much. If you can do better and don’t, you failed kids just as much.

He never even learned that all "literate" means is "able to read written text in your native language", you don't even have to be GOOD at reading to be considered literate, if you can slowly sound out the words on paper and understand them, that counts as "literacy" as per the definition. We knew Jared Loughner when he was in late middle school/early high-school. He'd show up at the school fairs our elementary school put on and scare the children, talking nonsense about shit and talking about killing people. My husband forcibly removed him from several school events. He lived a couple houses down from our babysitter (we moved away from Tucson a couple months before the shooting, thank God because we frequented that Safeway. My husband went there everyday before work) and she said the parents moved away immediately. Big moving truck and all.

There were no "big kids" there like him, except those escorting their younger siblings or working at the games. He had no friends because he was weird and crazy, even back in the day, back *before* Gabby Gifford was even on the ballot.
      Frankly, when I found out it was him I was surprised he didn't pull a Sandy Hook at the elementary school my husband forcibly removed him several times. He was a big guy. My husband was bigger. And I always open carried. A lot of the parents did. I often wonder if would have tried something there if he felt we and the children we sitting ducks. He really seemed fixated on it. Just a small word to Zaharie Shah and his Flight simulator path:
    In the Royal Malaysia Police report, which got leaked to the media, made it clear that such a route had not only been recovered but thoroughly examined. These route come as no surprise that many regard this as damning evidence of premeditation. However, accourding to investigators its not quite so evident. The data recovered consists of seven coordinates. Two in Kuala Lumpur, two in the Strait of Malacca, one in the Bay of Bengal and two in the southern Indian Ocean. The data was reconstructed from a file that had been automatically generated and saved by the simulator a month before the incident. Its not clear whether the coordinates originate from the same flight session. So its might not be correct to simply trace a continuous line beetween these seven coordinates as they could be from separate sessions.

    I've lived in Tucson most of my life, and I think most people underestimate how much of an impact Jared Loughner had on the city.
    In middle and high school I would hear people compare creepy or mentally ill kids to him, saying they would shoot up the school like he shot Gifford and the crowd that day. Most of the people being compared like that, I know logically were not good or safe people to be around, but I know that those comments made things worse for them.
    Pima Community College certainly lost a lot of is reputation when it happened as well. Their dropout program is well known for its failure rates, and they've tried to cover up their failures by boasting a (frankly limited) medical program. They're infamous for not handling mentally ill people, sending them to mental hospitals without families being notified or expelling those people without warning. My brother, severely depressed and struggling, was forcefully put on break by administration and not long after that, he committed suicide. Their treatment of mental health is one of the main reasons I went to college out of Pima County and away from what I knew most.
    Arizona government officials had a noticeable increase in security when this happened, but that trend seemed to stay. I've had relatives from out of state comment on how much security we have for officials here compared to their own states. People here are still hesitant to go to political showings because of what happened.
    Jared Loughner left a mark a lot deeper than I think most people expect. I think it's good to inform people of that.

    People like Jessica infuriate me. Delusional people like her make things up in their head seemingly out of nothing and think they’re so deep in whatever they think is going on they forget about things that matter like her own children. All people like that do all day is just think and think about things and scenarios until they fully believe they are living it. It’s truly tragic that people like her usually don’t get the help they need and especially their children.

    The Indigo Mystery, 34:30. This is parental alienation at it's finest. My question is why did the courts give her full custody in the first place? Why wasn't the father allowed to be involved? I think the courts failed the children in the very beginning by not giving the father 50/50 custody. (I recognize there could have been unknown issues going on.)

      One of the most criminal and tragic trends of the last three decades is the trend of states to automatically grant custody to the mother in a split without any examination of who is the more able and fit provider and caretaker.

      I agree that many fathers don't take their role as a father seriously. I think our culture emphasizes the father as the provider and protector, but not as having an equal role in providing nurture and relationship. And then our court system says the father is only a good father if he pays child support, and if he pays child support, he's done all he needs to do. But what kids really need is a father who's willing to invest in the relationship. So it's a reinforcing cycle that pushed fathers out of their children's lives, and makes them believe they don't matter. Imagine telling a father how much his child loves him and needs him! A man needs to know his importance, that he matters to his kid. But fathers are told only their money matters.

      I have to admit that apparently, most U.S. courts seem to lean toward giving moms custody over the children for a divorce case, without, in detail, going through the background behind both the parents' characteristics and their relationship with each other and their kids, and that is absolutely wrong; however, it's not like dads can't be abusive manipulative shitholes to their kids as well. Take this video for example: th-cam.com/video/PewzVBWzAgA/w-d-xo.html
      In conclusion, courts should do a better investigation in understanding which parent is more likely to take good responsibility for the kids, which could be the mom or the dad, or take the child's responsibility upon themselves in case both parents turn out to be equally terrible.
