Would a UV ("blacklight") bulb be more effective at exposing the board? I have a couple old ones in the garage...

Never tried. It should work fine as it is the UV light that exposes the board.

@@CarlRecktenwaldJr Any ideas how how much less time (I am assuming) it would take for exposure? I am using 30w UV light.

I think you would be ok with 7 mins. Might want do to a small test piece first.

Where did you get the liquid tin?

The Iron transfer method looks easier with 1 less steps and possibly cheaper as you just use regular copper board

+John Michael Stock. true. However I have never had much luck with that method. The plain copper boards are a lot cheaper.

Carl Recktenwald Jr. I've heard that sometimes the print does not come off onto the copper board with an iron, is that the issue you had? Also, did you you glossy paper or transparent sheets?

+John Michael Stock I could not get all of the toner onto the copper and then when I etched it the copper was missing from the traces. I used glossy photo paper.
