You guys don't understand the complexity of the Nigerian situation.... The anger of the fans is based on the frustration in the country generally.... They came hoping to find some sort of Joy only to be disappointed by the Super Eagles so that was the problem. It's barbaric, unacceptable violence... Nigerians should learn from us. When the team disappoints like what they did in 2014 at the global stage, we had every right to harass them and whatever after taking their monies and worst of all kissing the monies. At the end they disgraced us to enrich themselves. But as a democratic and relatively peaceful country, we decided to also stop supporting them. Thus, letting them know that the nation is rather doing them favour, hence the need to respect the national spirit. We took the spirit away and they kept begging us. We never attacked them. We have nothing to lose. We only want to be happy and celebrate football as the [passion of the nation. Nigeria, sorry you have a long way to go and you must learn from us.

First off, Gh only qualified based on away goal rule- please let's get that straight.
From the jump I've been against this ridiculous away goal rule. It's very horrendous, for Fifa/Caf to apply such a nasty, sudden death rule to a tourney that only comes around every 4 years.
Why must they make things difficult for Africa all the frigging time? Even before Nigeria was drawn with Ghana, I've been very against that ridiculous rule. Had it been the reverse was the case, with the scoreline. It still doesnt give the satisfaction of actually winning. It still gives a stench of undeserving victory to the winning team. C'mon y'all! Why did they scrap out the away goal rule, at the UEFA competitions and introduced it for thos round of play offs?
It's tough enough going through 2-3 rounds of qualifiers, as it is. Losing on penalties would have actually been better! The rule killed Nigeria, just like it woulda killed Ghana.
I'm Nigerian, but both Nigeria, Ghana even other African football federations/associations need to reflect on this.
Even if nigeria had won in this same fashion. I'd feel really sorry for Ghana. And wouldn't feel the complete sense of victory over Ghana. Congrats to Ghana, Congrats to my fatherland Nigeria. Love both countries.
    Africa deserves better.
World football body hypocrisy! You don't scrap same rule, then turn around then introduce it to us. Ridiculous!
And to be fair to the players. That leaves the 2nd leg home teams at a disadvantage, especially if the first leg ends in goalless draw. Meditate and ponder on past UEFA matches.
And that undeservedly heightens the pressure on these players. Let's be fair! In modern times, I just cant imagine Nigeria's flag not been hoisted in Qatar, come November. But these Caf/fifa folks introduced to us some crappy rule, and we digested and got fat on these rules.
Let these hypocrites try for once, use same pattern like they do African countries- where only the top countries qualify after 2 rounds. Then they face off, on those away goal rules. Let's see how they manage it. You'd see many more big names failing to qualify.
Let's reflect- that stupid rule coulda affected anyone/any nation.
From the first time I heard abt that stupid rule, I've been passionately against it!
My fellow Nigerians, the bright side is we're the only non-qualified country that didn't lose the qualifiers match. Congrats Ghana. Go do us proud!👌🏽

  • @treasurevibesmedia1249
    @treasurevibesmedia1249 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Let me use this opportunity to break things down.
    Disclaimers, I'm not supporting violence.
    1) The reason why Nigeria fans were so angry was that they lost to Ghana, they prefer losing to the Benin Republic 🇧🇯 or Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 even coromos and Madagascar 🇲🇬 than losing to Ghana their biggest Rivals.
    2) Nigeria underrated Black Star and believed they must win in their home. If they lost to Egypt for example you will not see this stupid act, I'm telling you the truth.
WHAT AM I TRYING TO SAY?
The rivals between Nigeria and Ghana are too high that one will think they hate each other, No whatever it is, is at the moment (point of time).
Nigerians will still end up supporting Ghana in the world cup, Ghana and Brazil or France cannot be playing and I will proudly support their opponent, for what reason?
I don't see myself doing that, I can't even think of that.
A win for Ghana is a win for Africa especially West Africa.
I know Ghanaians will still do the same if Nigeria goes to the world cup.
NOW HOW DID GHANA AND NIGERIA WAHALA BEGIN?
One of such policies was the “Aliens Compliance Order” of 18 November 1969. Though the Order affected some migrants from other West African countries such as Togo, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast, a majority of the victims were from Nigeria, this made Nigeria take it so personally.
Then in 1983, Nigeria expelled two million undocumented West African migrants, half of whom were from Ghana. This also made Ghanaians make it so personal.
Since then these stories have been passed from generation to generation.

    • @ridwannana-yawamoako2939
      @ridwannana-yawamoako2939 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      look enough of these stories.
Growing up in Ghana I never heard, or never was taught anything that made me hate Nigerians. Infact my father was part of those who were expelled from Nigeria yet they never said anything to us as kids about rivalry between nigeira and ghana.
It just pure ego on the part of nigeria. As they call us their younger brother. I wonder in what context we are their younger brothers. We had independence first and the country Ghana was formed officially before Nigeria.
That aside, its neither here nor there that a once your country is bigger you should do better and look down on others. We take this as a joke but these things will one day escalate into something very fatal between the two countries.
What I know for sure is Ghanaians wouldn't start a fight. Even when people start to stigmatize Nigerians, the media quickly tries to bring them to order. We are very non violent people generally.
This stadium violence was a shame and no one should try to justify it. If people decide to act anyhow because they are angry how would this world of ours be.

You're lucky Ghana, the British did not tie you with the Muslims of the upper Volta. Otherwise you would be like Nigeria where mediocrity thrives in everything all in the name of religious/tribal affiliation.
Even our football, our captain Ahmed Musa refuses to retire and give way to younger players even though he never plays more than 15 minutes. We substitute a central midfielder Onyeka with a right back Shehu Abdullahi and in the process have two right backs on the field with 30 minutes to go.
Last 15 minutes we bring on more Muslims Ahmed Musa and Sadiq Umar.
We replace premier league players with players playing in Turkey, Cyprus and 2nd division Spain because the politicians want to see federal character. Politicians are allowed to choose their favourite players from their regions. That is Nigeria, you beat us but only because we're labouring under a handicap of political mediocrity.

    QUIT LYING! 🤬
The riot was DISGRACEFUL, DISGUSTING AND DESPICABLE, and Nigeria should DESERVEDLY be punished by FIFA for it, but NO Ghanaians (not a single one) were harassed, attacked or robbed. The ire of the hoodlums (not real ‘fans’) were directed SOLELY at the NFF and Nigerian AUTHORITIES (not even the Nigerian players - and NO Nigerian player was slapped).
Furthermore, there was NO delay in getting an ambulance regarding the unfortunate incident of the Zambian doctor who apparently suffered a cardiac issue while going to take a post-game dope test in the Ghanaian dressing room. His Nigerian colleagues immediately attended to him, rendered aid and got him into an ambulance and he was rushed off to hospital.
It is DISGUSTING to seek to score crude xenophobic points with such sad developments after an epic sporting contest. Our best wishes to Ghana at the Qatar WC, and our condolences and prayers to the Zambian’s family. 🇳🇬🇬🇭🇿🇲🌍

Ghana is truly not a football nation or a sporting nation. Since it's independence in 1957, has only managed to win about 3 medals (not gold) in olympic competition. The last time Ghana won AFCON was in 1982 in Libya. Libya was robbed of that game because of the incompetence of the referee, Ghana did not merit the trophy. Since 1982, if Ghana is truly a football naton, why can't she replicate the AFCON wins of 1960's, 70's, but we Egypt replicate the wins of 1960's, 70's till date. Inspite of this, you Ghana have the effrontery to say you are better than your superior, Nigeria just because you drew a match,,,, Kwasia neyeh Ghana.
