    Peter Obi made a great point. One needs to be in a developed country to understand him..

    • @ifeifesi
      @ifeifesi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wrong! You don't need to live in a developed society to understand him at all. There are countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, India that are religious and yet understand that being religious does not stop people from being productive. It's only in Africa and Nigeria where pimping, demonic daddy GOs have convinced people that instead of working you go and spend time in church from morning to night to praying for wealth and jobs, meanwhile giving them tithes instead of working. Yet, the Bible itself, gives the command from Genesis, Proverbs, the Gospels , Corinthians etc of the need for a Christian to work to provide for self and the poor.

    He didn't say he will stop Churches from holding vigils. He doesn't have that power. Instead, what he meant is that when peoplehave jobs and peoplecan even have shifts, they won't have time to be in Churches everyday. This is so clear. I'm sure everyone is supposed to understand, except those who are looking for something to hold on to call him names.

    • @bimbola607

      Clarification is key most times bro, because that's how the idiot in Rwanda started to clamp down on churches under spurious guise .. all those activities he's questioning have become the people's opium and antidote from depression, say what you want the religious setting is abused largely but it's still the anchor for over 70% of the populace. Obi should join the likes of Dangote in industrializing the nation too outside of just castigating the already neglected citizens for holding on to what gives them hope for the next day. Believe it or not most of these people get ' hand-outs ' in cash and all other forms . They firm alliances and friendships that no government can give...

      It's because no matter their attainment, they are always seen as sex objects, and women themselves are not helping matters as we seem to appear helpless without men and scrambling for marriage.

    He is 100 percent correct. Even our market places has become venues for praise and worship etc with complete musical instruments.
    You enter the market and every shop along a particular line are locked cos they're praying so you have to wait for hours for them to conclude their prayers and heavy praise and worship. I cry for my country. Meanwhile, I am a Christian but I know where to draw the line...

    Former President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana has promised a 24 hours economy in the country if voted come december, there will be 3 shifts of 8 hours each.
    Presently the judiciary has started practicing it already, your court case can be scheduled to night now here in Ghana.
    24 hours economy will creates more job opportunities and more productivities.
    I perceived this is what Peter Obi is saying right there.
    By the way Adeola I'm a Nigerian missionary living in Ghana for almost 9 years now...has you asked pastors to comments.

    I agree 100% with PO! I live in America and I have worked night shift, day shift, Sundays and I love God with my whole heart. PO is talking about a shift in our mentality. He built an empire for himself working and praying. Jesus said, my father always work. God is not a puppet that dishes out money but he will give you wisdom, connect you with helpers and ensure that you succeed when you step in faith. Goad also requires excellence from us as his children. He said I give you the power- ability, strength, resources, health so you can get wealth and do my will on earth. Psalm 1 says what ever you do will prosper when you meditate on God’s word and pray. So we have to pray and work! Shalom!!

    Vigil to night shift. May I ask a question here? If somebody is on night duty, will he leave his work to go for a vigil? When they don't have jobs, they have to go to vigils to pray to God for his life to be meaningful. What will Peter Obi do with night clubs and pubs? It is always good to think we'll before public speech. Nigeria's problem is not the church but the corrupt politicians and terribly bad governance. All shall be well.

    Since you want to hear from some of us Religious people. I am a Catholic Rev. Sister. Peter Obi is giving you the Catholic Social Teaching, work is regarded as an essential part of our human dignity. Through our human work, God gives us the capacity to make our world better.
    The time spent in prayer should help us to do our work better as co-creators with God. It is wrong to use prayer to replace work, it is called escapism.
    Even in our monasteries where PRAYER the the WORK - they still do a lot of intellectual, manual and creative work, that is why St. Benedict’s monastic motto is PRAY AND WORK. So all these people think praying alone will solve their problems are actually being misled. Thank you Adeola.
