  • I've been a fan of the Dynavibe product for years and finally got my hands on the new GX3. This is unpacking, testing and overall review. Exploring what's changed and if it's worth the upgrade.

    I'm glad I learned about this. I don't have a plane yet but for sure I will within the next 2 years and I'll do this to it. Thanks

    Awesome stuff. Although the technology is not new it looks like a perfect tool.
    I’m used to this system on the old ATR 72 and their engines.
    The kit is incorporated into the airplane. Having data to correct instant is a big plus.
    Thanks for sharing

    G’day Mike & co, why doesn’t the kit come with optional accessories of various weighted high tensile bolts? One of these would be fantastic for every airport mechanics to balance noisy vibrations, also from the sound and ground perspective too. Lol love the grip ties, so many applications...God bless all, Victoria Australia xo

    Why no mercury or ball bearing filled prop balancer ring like they use for tires? Then it would always be balanced.

      You bolt them on to the flywheel on Lycoming engines. There is a hole every 30 degrees.

  • @larrygreen8912
    @larrygreen8912 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why not use the mercury filled auto balancer that bolts between the crank and prop . I have seen one work , it smoothed the engine out . They are used on “experimental “ aircraft. The wear on crankshaft main bearings is greatly reduced because not only is the prop balanced but the crankshaft is balanced too .

    For the last 150 hours I've been using a Balance Master (www.balancemasters.com/) on my Rotax 912S/Prince Prop, RANS S-7S combo. It, along with a properly balanced propeller like the Prince , combine to make it all smooth as possible. I also use a similar device on the wheels of my crane truck, and when I last bought new front tires, my tire shop (the best in my area) told me there was no need to balance the new tires in the conventional manner, the Centramatics would do it better, plus KEEP it them balanced as they wore and picked up snow, mud, etc. Point is, the concept of a centrifugal balancer, be it prop or tires, is well proven. I am NOT saying they are a cure all, but can work very well within their design limitations.
