    Mark, excellent review. It means a lot that you bought these yourself. You touched on several aspects of this product in such a way that even a neophyte like myself understood perfectly. Keep up the good work!

    I have TK’s on my Highlander and you are correct. Once you’ve tried them, there is no going back to bungee cord!

    Shock setup mentioned is called sag. 20-35% gives you tracking and breaking with uneven terrain without 100% of the weight on the mains. Buttery smooth transitions too.

    Thanks for the video. Nice job explaining the operation and setup.
    I am building (soon) a Kitfox S7. Is your gear the Monster Gear that Kitfox offers? I am not getting the STi option, but am interested in the gear as a possibility. How long is the arm from the attach point to the axle mounting plate? What size tires are you running? I am trying to figure out what the attitude of the aircraft will be on the ground compared to running the Grove gear that comes with the kit (with 8.50’s).

    Hey Mark, Im building a bearhawk here in Herriman. Im not in love with the stock design shock. I like your review but could you see any major differance in cruise speed?

      Abe Croney , I saw no difference at all.

    People don't realize how much suspension makes a difference, put them on a stock Honda CRF450R stock shocks go run a Hare Scramble next day do it again with a CRF450R aftermarket shocks adjusted for your weight and trails tell me which one gave you more arm pump? lol.

    Always wondered why aircraft manufactures would ever design a landing gear that acted like a spring make landing more difficult.

      b: 1. Cost, 2. Ease/minimal maintenance, 3. Simplicity. The biggest gripes of any airplane owner.

    Hi, I have a carbon cub, with standard gear and 26" tires. What are your thoughts on puting the monster shocks on the standard gear with, say 29" or 31". Is it necessary or worth it to get the extended gear with addition of the shocks? Thanks!

    All the cowboys need to go full trophy truck and run triple or quad bypass shocks. Seriously why do bush planes run the geometry they do? I really want to say weight but I can't really figure out how that is any lighter than the single a arm strut system that Subaru runs.

      Prospector soils look at just aircraft’s superstol. I think they run what you’re talking about. Like 18” of travel and super soft. They can bring the airplane in and stall it when the tail wheel touches and literally drop it on the front gear, super impressive. And most of these airplanes are running around or under 1,000#.

      @@Midwest4x4f150 Drag, aero drag is another factor to consider. Yeah we're talking bush planes but more drag is always good to avoid if possible, it reduces climb and range besides speed. That's why most planes like the SS are 75 mph airplanes, NOT that their's anything wrong with that!

    They look great but $2800? Yikes. Bend over if you have a Carbon Cub. You are going to get rammed.....

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you saying 2800 is expensive? The shocks on my Honda CRF450R race bike cost me $3100 and that's just for a little ole dirt bike, of course I could have gone cheaper with pretty similar results, lol.
      First suspension I'd spend the money it's worth it.
