    Nick, so glade to see u doing well!😤😤😤I’m so glade that you’re building another Kit fox and getting right back in the air. I crashed in 1978 but didn’t get hurt except for my pride and it scared the crap out of me. My instructor and friend made me get right back in a plane to quiet my fears. It worked. Your body will heal, it takes longer for you mind to trust your action again. You will do well. Keep flying my friend.

    When I built my kit car I went for pre made wiring looms and people said I was daft due to the cost, but this really shows the time, effort and, more importantly, skill the goes in to making one of these just so that idiots like me can't get it wrong! Excellent work!

    Watching you just takes me back to those huge aircraft factories set up during WW II. I can imagine they used very similar techniques to build the wiring harnesses for all those old war birds.

    • @krissfemmpaws1029
      @krissfemmpaws1029 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wiring harnesses were done the same way only bigger. They were installed in sections with cannon plugs and sockets connecting them together.

You are amazing as well. I admire your true grit in recovering from your accident and coming out more productive and positive than ever.

    I love to do the wiring and programming of canbuss control systems, ive done aircraft wiring both fixed wing non-press. and pressurized cabins , as well as helicopters also automotive heavy duty trucks, firetrucks, military ect..also build harnesses and troubleshooting electrical and control systems on almost any forms of transportation out there it the kind of job that keeps you on your toes as well as makes you pay attention to details at all times and neatness/ organization, documentation and labeling. I don't get why so many people are scared of any form of wireing I find it fun 99% of the time the 1% is when you have to fix other ppls f ups just to properly diagnose the real problems.

    Hi Nikk,
    Would you be willing to make a bit more of a tutorial video on the basics of wiring and how you find out what to connect where? I'm considering building a Just Aircraft Highlander and don't really have the budget to get a harness fabricated by an avionics shop. I'm a mechanical engineer, so electrics are a foreign territory for me!

      I honestly don’t think it’s happening. Two years since this video posted.
      People gave over $100k and since then he bought a new house but has shown nothing else. Looks really bad.
      The worst thing he can do is not address it and that’s exactly what he’s doing. Trent really jumped the gun with the gofundme and they are both showing their true colors by keeping quiet.
      People make mistakes but it’s clear these guys have no intentions of refunding people.

    Hello Nikk,
    So is this wiring loom for Phoenix Fox or are you working for Kit Fox or is this your own enterprise? Either way I am so glad to see you back at it again. Happy 4th.

    • @marinetodd06
      @marinetodd06 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also have similar questions. A standardized layout pattern for newer engined aircraft, but room to get into the older stuff for retrofit in the near future? Plus a mock up for just Kit Fox right now. Makes me wonder if they hired him straight up because he got it to work in his before it was an option or maybe he sub contracts it out specifically for Kit Fox customers that choose to have Garmin glass in their planes and don't wanna deal with the wiring headache. Those were my questions.
      Not really expecting an answer, but would love to hear it. Great to see him back up and moving around getting things done. A work shop is a work shop.
