My grandfather remembered back in the 70's, seeing the ports in Philly packed full of new John Deere tractors that had come over from Mannheim, Germany. I worked for a Case IH dealer that had several stores in PA, DE and NJ and they were sending trucks down to Baltimore every week picking up new tractors...neat to see them coming into NJ now.
Super nice of these drivers to help ea other out, well nice of him to offer and help Steve. Steve couldn’t get rid of him fast enough but same thing, really cool..!
I live at the to 78/24 split Millburn/Short Hills…you weren’t far from me. Right where you were I was picking up and dropping deliveries for many years. Tanker Yanker since 1987. Low boy and triaxles from 1979 to 1987. Just retired but looking for some flat bed or equipment moving locally.
Oh damn... the TA in Baltimore! My boy and I went there for his 9th Bday. I wanted to find the Pete dealer in that area. I tried a coupla times to find it but it was hard as all heck and dealing with traffic... and getting where I wanted to go.. was not easy. Now that I researched it.. I can find it by making a right after leaving the TA.
When I was with my mentor. We stopped there. Only paid parking available but it seemed it wasn't when we walked into the store to pay. Then my mentor got all mad and shit. Made me chuckle.
If you come back to eastern North Carolina, go to Dortches, off Interstate 95 exit 141, to Smith's Restaurant, they serve breakfast and lunch, Tues thru Saturday, 630 am to 2 pm. Good food.
When I worked for a tire wholesaler based out of Blackhorse NJ I used to take 95 from our branch WH in CT all the way down to either exit 2 or 3 in southern NJ to reach our Main WH on what was called an in house transfer,I would bring down tires Destined for their customers and bring back tires for our customers in NE..
The yard in Kearny you picked up at during super storm Sandy went completely under water it was full of trucks at the time and the water went up into the sleepers 53' trailers were floating around
had gl at the Vince Lombardi Service Area on the NJ turnpike when I was OTR , check that out sometime, they have multiple restaurants inside and pretty sure showers as well 👍
Steve I always stopped up in Perryville, MD at the Love's I think it was... or Flying hook... it was one of them! EDIT - Perryville was the Ro Fo... North East was the Flying Hook! (been awhile since I was OTR!)
@16:45 LSG Sky Chefs. Catering for airlines at major airports. Not something you see everyday on the freeway. But close to an airport like EWR? yea that's much more likely.
Hey Steve, I am not sure if you remember it, but for the subscribers you have that are not familiar with the New York tri-state area, the bridge going over the facility where you picked up the load is known as the Pulaski Skyway
For farmers that now has a dislike to that green brand (what were they thinking, denying right to repair?) these German-built Cases are a good alternative.
Hey Steve how are you doing today my friend I love watching our videos they are very educational videos and keep up the good work and I like the content in the videos and I agree with you on that truckt is not for you you don't know how to drive a truckt
That's why I always have a driver get the tractor loads all the time. Cause he knows everything about tractors. I tried moving one like u had to load. It was a John Deere. I tried everything to get it moving. One of the managers kid's was like I can help you. I got out and told the kid. I'll pay you $40.00 to load it up and he did perfectly. He helped me chain it down. His mom appears and he was like I made $$$$ and she was like how. I said I had him load it up and she was like that's how he makes his $$$$$. His mom goes he's 6 year's old and he can drive anything. I was like he's 6 year's old and he said yeah. I was like that's awesome. His dad appears and he was like how much u make today. The boy pulled out $$$$$. I said I paid him $40.00 and I was the 5th one that he loaded up. That family has a huge I mean a huge farm. I was like that's huge when they told her where it was v
I’ve watched your videos for years and that’s the first time I’ve seen a ladder and I didn’t see it when you delivered the fire truck, what’s up with that, by the way did you return the courtesy and help that driver load his truck?
thats the first t/a i've seen that looks that trashy ,all the ones ive been to have been pretty nice and clean , i bet orwell feels alot better now he has the back breaker off his trailer safe travels steve and orwell
Could it be that's because the restaurant has closed? I mean: the people running the restaurant probably kept the parking lot at least somewhat clean to keep being attractive to truckers. Close the restaurant and nobody has a direct stake in the parking lot anymore, so nobody cares.
Yeah, that was always a crap hole. I was forced to get out of the truck in 2010. It had gone downhill really bad since the first time I was there early in my career. I honestly can't even imagine how bad it has gotten today. Stay safe out there, brother!
Or someone else buy it & shut it down & strip the parking lot & repave it & put new lines in for the trucks or whoever comes there & take out the building & build a whole new building that's cleaner & has bathrooms with a shower in it
No food trucks stopping by like they have for construction sites? Someone missing the boat there. The ebb and flow of traffic in the northeast and Jersy absolutely sucks. I'm not a trucker, I am a RV'er pushin my ##K diesel around towing my jeep and trying to stay out of the agressive truckers way and not wanting to get stuck behind grammar is a chellenge with narrow lanes.. Hate the Jersey pike,, going south from Boston I now go way west and take 81 down. Much less white knuckle and only cost a little more time. I like stopping at Diners then truck stops. Much better food. Best food is in Indiana at Ammish resyurants ! I used to go into Baltimore over the Scott Key bridge to get to Fort Meade, NSA and stay at the RV park there. No more. Did you hear about the bulldozer that rolled off a flatbed semi and killed a guy and his daughter recently ? . Mother and other daughter survived. Cannot imagine that and feel so awful for survivors.
It is amazing with TA’s being a corporation they’d keep a place like that operational! Piss poor mgmt at its finest right there. Must be turning a profit or they’d damn sure shut it down! Don’t know how you drivers do it, sad state of affairs. You can damn sure tell you’re from Jersey with that driving too. Didn’t even ruffle your feathers when Werner jumped out in front of you as well as Jb Hunt
Yeah, know your in NJ when the drivers just cut ya off literally just feet in front of you... Man, i swear people find their license in cracker jack boxes 😂
Hi, can you please explain the procedure for decoupling your trailer. I sort of know what’s going on but would prefer a detailed explanation…just to be sure!!
1- Detach air lines and electric pigtail from truck to trailer 2- Pull kingpin release 3- Pull "Orwell" forward, but keep gooseneck partially on frame for ease of reconnecting 4- Crawl under gooseneck, pull "dog bones" so they are only to the neck, not connecting the neck to the trailer proper 5- Disconnect second set of Air lines and pigtails from neck and trailer 6- Pull locking pin from side of trailer, releasing last connection between trailer and neck. The neck is now resting on the trailer solely by gravity. 7- Release air from "Orwell's" rear suspension bags, dropping the rear. 8- Back up, reconnect to neck. 9- Grab block of wood, place it between truck frame and trailer neck. This will act as extra support for the neck and keeps it from dragging on the ground. 10- Reapply air to rear suspension, picking up neck and disconnecting from trailer 11- Drive away with neck 12- Load/Unload (with air bleed from trailer bags to keep it from bouncing during load/unload 13 - Reverse process to reconnect 14- Hammer down, get paid! Hope this helps.
Was awesome meeting you that day Steve and chatin with you for a bit hope to run into ya again down the line brother be safe
IMT Transport from Garnet, IA? I recognized the logo on your safety vest. Proud Iowan here....
37:00 What a awesome guy helping out. Good on you mate 👍🏻
The shots from the back of the trailer. With the ladder where awesome. Really excellent camera work on this episode.
You should have shown us on the video Steve what the food selection was like at the TA just to see what you guys have to put up with

Steve, I enjoy your channel, one thing I've noticed about you, besides being a damn good driver, ur a hardazz worker. Much succes n happiness to you.
Don't know how he does it, but FeeShak's filming and editing have gotten better since the last time I was here. They were pretty awesome back then.
Super nice of these drivers to help ea other out, well nice of him to offer and help Steve. Steve couldn’t get rid of him fast enough but same thing, really cool..!

Agriculture is a huge business in America. Great to see farmers being successful in these challenging times.
The most beautiful Cabover of all Wisconsin and midwest! Congrats buddy!
you need to try that truck stop on i-70 at 115 mile maker at speedway it's good just like home cooking but take it easy
I don’t know how they expect you to just be able to jump in this high tech piece of machinery and just take off.
Oh damn... the TA in Baltimore! My boy and I went there for his 9th Bday. I wanted to find the Pete dealer in that area. I tried a coupla times to find it but it was hard as all heck and dealing with traffic... and getting where I wanted to go.. was not easy.

Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary and the music. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Steve.

Pulaski skyway! Only in NJ❤
Smooth move there Werner=Ex-Lax!
Ooooooooh I wish I were an Oscar Meyer WEINER! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
i had that same thought myself
hey Steve, since U seem to hang on Orwell, U may want to invest in Air Bags between the cab n frame. It will make a life saving difference.
Very cool run , nerves of steel brother coming into Jersey with them hogging lanes on you. Be safe
had gl at the Vince Lombardi Service Area on the NJ turnpike when I was OTR , check that out sometime, they have multiple restaurants inside and pretty sure showers as well 👍
Greetings from Colorado Springs!
Another awesome video, Steve! 😊
Surprised to see you still had your ladder when you woke up.
Steve I always stopped up in Perryville, MD at the Love's I think it was... or Flying hook... it was one of them!
EDIT - Perryville was the Ro Fo... North East was the Flying Hook! (been awhile since I was OTR!)
wow warner
Another great video the Truck errors it the old way safety drive' he got on His under the hopper to make the 5th wheel is in place
Hey Good luck,That’s a great contract if you can keep it up. You seem like your attitude has improved 10x Seem like things are early happening.🤙🏼🤙🏼
How anything gets done down there is amazing!! Nice job!!!!
The 2 TA's I know of on I-70 here in MO no restraint they are all closed.
Wow! look at all that traffic on the opposite side.
@16:45 LSG Sky Chefs. Catering for airlines at major airports. Not something you see everyday on the freeway. But close to an airport like EWR? yea that's much more likely.
I see then on the highway all the time going from pickup food at distributors to the airports
JB probably didn't brake some truck the brake light come on once off throttle
Good morning from southeast asia, Steve!
🫡🫡
Hi Steve that truck driver cut too close to Orwell u guys have to be alert @ all times ❤
Hey Steve, I am not sure if you remember it, but for the subscribers you have that are not familiar with the New York tri-state area, the bridge going over the facility where you picked up the load is known as the Pulaski Skyway
Looks like the small Pilot once you cross Del Memorial Bridge into NJ…….
I saw an article where those tractors are coming over from Germany. They’re originally built by Fendt and rebranded as Case I believe is how it went.
For farmers that now has a dislike to that green brand (what were they thinking, denying right to repair?) these German-built Cases are a good alternative.
80+% of farm equipment companies are now owned by 1 European conglomerate.
The way you were bouncing around in the cab I thought that there needed to be at least a few more potholes to satisfy the road maintenance crews.
I have had CLIF protein bars they are very good. 🙂
Love the videos keep it up.
U n Orwell r famous got ur own fan club
Damned straight they do. Fan club and hater club. Steve's damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't.
Roads look and sound wonderful. 😬
Dam the. Roads looked ruff
i live newjersey in 91
My favorite CLIF protein bar is chocolate chip or chocolate fudge bar. 🙂
Holy crap, Yellow is still in business? We don't see any Yellow trucks anymore around these parts.
I've got a place you can park 30 min from baltimore
Good evening brother beautiful nite windows down
Yep nasty hotel had electrical fire when we were there 90 s I anit lost nothing there
How many videos do you have stashed away , i see Orwell still sporting the steel rims
So did you stick around and help him load?
Love how you edited out the inside cab footage when you were side by side lol. I’d have lost my shit and probably would have done something very bad
the ELD creep... I know that all too well 😅
Yeah someone needs to call there corporate and complain to them about it and a few others out there
Hey Steve how are you doing today my friend I love watching our videos they are very educational videos and keep up the good work and I like the content in the videos and I agree with you on that truckt is not for you you don't know how to drive a truckt
TA in Baltimore exists only because it's the only place to actually park
That's why I always have a driver get the tractor loads all the time. Cause he knows everything about tractors. I tried moving one like u had to load. It was a John Deere. I tried everything to get it moving. One of the managers kid's was like I can help you. I got out and told the kid. I'll pay you $40.00 to load it up and he did perfectly. He helped me chain it down. Them farm kids learn to drive once the don't need diapers anymore.
I’ve watched your videos for years and that’s the first time I’ve seen a ladder and I didn’t see it when you delivered the fire truck, what’s up with that, by the way did you return the courtesy and help that driver load his truck?
Steve, Where is the tractor heading to? Are you glad to be back in Joisey again? lol -Cheers
Be careful Steve
Yes. I agree.
Good job boy
thats the first t/a i've seen that looks that trashy ,all the ones ive been to have been pretty nice and clean , i bet orwell feels alot better now he has the back breaker off his trailer safe travels steve and orwell

Most TA truck stops are dumps
Hey Steve, was that the Baltimore North or South TA?
Just north of the tunnel
Yeah, that was always a crap hole. I was forced to get out of the truck in 2010. It had gone downhill really bad since the first time I was there early in my career. I honestly can't even imagine how bad it has gotten today.
Stay safe out there, brother!
Orwell in NJ 😯
Why not back Orwell up closer then take chains to trailer instead of lugging them the distance??
Exactly how I picture Baltimore…..
on this tractor was a tractor eeeei eeeei ohhhhh 🤣 that was funny
I bet the permit was a lot of money for that ladder . Now the tractor thats another story.
I must have missed something. What happened to the new wheels
It is tough to get load, when only get a ladder? HA!HA!
Orwell's book "1984" is being moved from fiction to the nonfiction section in most libraries.
Orwell is rolling in his grave that his book is coming true!
WE HAVE AN OLD SAYING QUIETLY GOOD WILL COME !!! LOL 😄
FSC….. FARMING 😂😂😂😂
Pulaski Skyway
I remember when over half hour there youd have to pay to park..
Me too!!!
Hi FSC
That place sucked 30 yr ago the rest closing is no great loss
I know you are right.
What happened to your new back wheels
This is an older video from around Memorial Day, before the wheels were replaced.
Or someone else buy it & shut it down & strip the parking lot & repave it & put new lines in for the trucks or whoever comes there & take out the building & build a whole new building that's cleaner & has bathrooms with a shower in it

No more prizes in the Cracker Jack. They stopped putting the prizes or even mini comics in in the 2010s.
i noticed you did not do a pretrip insoection before you left that awful ta
LOL
Exactly. Trash truck stop. Cooperate TA should be embarrassed about that location. I'd never buy fuel from them after this experience.
nice to see not everyone out there is anasshole. 😂😂
Do they sell Beer??
How much did your APU cost? I’ve heard 10-14k. I find that hard to believe.
Teamwork while loading! Back in the day, had to ask other Drivers, how in the f-ck do you start this thing….
Hey Steve why do you have latter onyour trailer bye safe later
That place was a "SHITEHOLE" when I had to quit driving in 1976 Medical !
I’ve been to the Baltimore ta more times than I’d like to remember, you are 100 percent correct, the place is an absolute dump.
