I’ve watched Brent since he started his channel. It was truly heartbreaking seeing how torn he was in the upload after the hotel burned down. Was so glad when you guys got connected for the concrete, helping both of your all’s channels, but ultimately helping get the hotel back. Then this ingenious plan to help with the #1 necessity in the middle of nowhere in a desert, water. You all are great humans. Can’t wait for more videos, stay safe fellas!

People can say they’re doing it just for money blah blah blah but obviously someone doing this stuff they do just for money wouldn’t get in the dirt like they do, or go in the mines etc. They would get there, drop it off, try to get in Brent’s videos for promotion, then leave. I truly believe they are “real” down to earth humans.
They really are making a difference. Sure they get $, but that $ is forwarded towards helping others.
I remember when the town was for sale and I looked at it and daydreamed about owning it. The first time I watched video of the town was @Wonderhussy Adventures and the American Hotel was beautiful. It broke my heart when I heard it burned down so I can only imagine how Bret felt.

You guys edited this in less than a week (I saw the instagram stories last weekend when you were there) and the production value of this video is amazing. The editors on this channel are some talented people, hats off.
From an engineering and logistic perspective this was truly ingenious. Everything went so smoothly it is hard to truly appreciate the planning, design, and experience it took to make this happen. Very impressive as always guys but this one for me was over the top.

Seeing the amazement on Brent's face when you all arrive to help is something that I will never forget. I found your channel through Ghost Town Living. It's hard to put into words, but I'm glad there are still good people in the world willing to help others without putting their hand out for something in return.
this is good for alan he and brent have alot in common somewhat on how they live on top of big mountain steep winding road. building there dream. and they both lost something that meant alot 2 them in a fire. rebuilding with three chins up and not giving up is the best medicine for them and meeting each other. can't wait to see part 2.

Most of Brent's water problems are with a poorly designed system at the bottom. The hump in the pipe between the water source and pump is creating an easy way for the pump to lose prime, which is the #1 problem. The pump is also taxed fairly heavily pushing the water up 600+ft. Id add a second line to the bottom with the function of being able to pour water down and re-prime the pump from the surface, as well as adding an intermediate reservoir and second pump half way up so that the lower pump isn't having to lift as far. As I recall, Brent has found ways into some of the upper levels without using the shaft Also flattening the run of line between the pump and the sump at the bottom so there isn't that downhill slope away from the pump on the feed line.

Yeah, I know it might not be in the budget but two more tanks: one right at the top of the shaft to cover the prime problem, and a dedicated fire irrigation system so you always have full tank available for fire suppression would be ideal. How much water can the aquifer provide? You would have to be able to assemble a drill system on the bottom level to drill deep enough to supply the town. That’s a huge hassle. Also, thinking about off grid solutions for the other utilities. That’s a major headache.
There were a lot more people in the town, back in the hey day, they must have had more water? Water collection on the surface, from snow and rain, may be an option too.
Some one who is a real pro at this job should help him out and design an installation which would work. FREE.
Two things:
First, I got a kick out of the scene where the two Yahoo's were riding into town on top of that tank hooping and hollering like conquering hero's. Halarious!
Secondly, I can only imagine how awesome it must be for Dave's young son to go with dad and his friends and pull off a crazy adventure like this one. It must have been big fun...
