    Good time while installing the fuel filter to also install a fuel flow meter (FloScan was an early maker) now Faria makes a great one that fits the same hole as your old oil, water pressure gauges (right around 2 1/4") instead of the tachometer sized hole the FloScan used. Transducer is easier in the Faria as well. The Faria was $180 USD about fifteen years ago when I bought one. The FloScan in the mid seventies was $4-500.00 USD as best as I recall. They both give you gph real time, total used, gallons to go until empty, gallons left in the tank. Combined with your tachometer you can figure your best mpg if you are stretching a cruise. I understand some new high end outboards have all this in their glass gauge. Very useful diagnostic tool as well. Any sudden changes in consumption are obvious and let you know it. If you have a weird shaped tank as many boats do they can be invaluable as 1/2 in a v shaped tank is not a valid measurement unless the sender has been calibrated and most are not. This gauge always lets you know in real terms. Mine have always been accurate to within .01%. Enjoy your enthusiasm.

    LITTLE TIP: If you're filming in your shed with the fluorescent lights, change the framerate in your camera settings. Will get rid of the flicker :)

    Great videos guys keep up the great work and I wanted to ask I’ve watched a lot of your videos on fiberglassing when you were grinding and sanding the floor you were wearing shorts how do you keep the itch factor down?

    • @AngryMackAdventures
      @AngryMackAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Richard, i think after a week in the stuff i was immune to it :')
      nah you cant get rid of the itch, just tried wearing as much PPE as i could, but the itch cream was a savior some nights that's for sure!

    The bulb should be between the filter and the engine, not between the tank and the filter as described.

  • @stewatparkpark2933
    @stewatparkpark2933 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The fuel bulb should be as vertical as you can get it so that the internal valves work correctly . Is that thread tape rated for petrol ? .

    • @AngryMackAdventures
      @AngryMackAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stewatpark Park hey mate thanks for watching, yes it was as vertical as I could get it, parallel to the floor :)
      Sure is mate!

      @AngryMackAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Obg Max hey mate just a lowrance elite 7 then hopefully a 1kw transducer, that’s more then enough for me 😀

    Hope that tape is rated for fuel! It is supposed to be YELLOW tape

    Two things, your segment number should be first since your titles are so long that TH-cam truncates them, and no one can follow the episodes. Further, your hatch is now a marvelous water scoop which is very dumb for a boat that is actually taken in the ocean.

    • @AngryMackAdventures
      @AngryMackAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Superb Media Content Creator hey mate thanks for watching, oh yes good idea, I will have to fix that numbering thanks for the heads up!
      As for the hatch, this is a proper boat hatch, fully sealed made for the job.. don’t know what else I would have put there.
