Hey mate just from seeing my dad work in cars at 8.35 the oil is gulping out of the container if you turn the container sideways it should pour out smooth doesnt matter when using a funnel bur if your ever in a pinch pouring oil there's a quick time I've being taught. Awesome series cant wait to go adventuring.
@Angry Mac Adventures Great series bro 😎 you have gave me a lot to think about in these 14 episodes I’ve watched. I hear want people mean when they say that a boat can be a money pit. Don’t get me wrong I’m still gonna give it a go 👍
Such a good sound when it started right up Mate. Get out there fishing Brother. I wade fish mostly, no water vehicle for me but still have a great time. Peace
How’s it going, your videos are awesome and I also have a 2008 Evinrude Etec 150 and I was wondering if you could help with a link where you found your installation guide. Thank you
Wingster Rod hey mate, ahh just personal preference, I like the way 2 strokes perform. The hours/condition/price of this outboard it was a no brainer to buy. And of-course I didn’t have the extra $15,000 to buy a new 4 stroke, but definitely in the future this boat will get the upgraded engine it needs. Thanks for watching 🙂
Awesome to see the engine start up! One MAJOR step to getting it into the water. It already looks like a new boat, looking forward to seeing the console completed with guages, chartplotter(s), and the all important steering wheel. Am I correct to assume that you're going for hydraulics instead of wire for steering?
Thanks for watching Nathan! yes defiantly something out the way, and to push onto the next task! Yes the dash is the next thing to finish off once i install the steering wheel! :) Yes going hydraulic Hydrive system in the boat :)
hit any open edges of wood with epoxy. that hole you installed the oil tank in will rot at the edges if you dont do this. i use west system clear penetrating epoxy
thanks for the note mate i didn't know this!, i will look into it. If thats the case i'll definitely be changing the terminals to the main posts, thank-you!
Hi Luca, there will be a full video on cost and hours in the near future, need to add everything up :') but for full boat restoration inside and out doing the work yourself with trailer may be cheaper then you think !
Hey mate thanks for watching! needed that extra 100mm to run neatly with the fuel line, something i will be change in the future, just working with what i got and keeping eye on budget :)
Yeah I was wondering the same thing. Might wanna look into that cause I know some evinrudes like mine have the part where he put the water into just to flush the motor, like push water through the motor backwards. Pretty sure it’s like most motors and your supposed to put towards the leg and waters meant to come out of the telltale. Might be a different type of motor but should definitely look into it.
Hey Guys thankyou for the concern, on first start up ( when recording) i had a long hose running to the motor so had minimal pressure, and engine was only running for approx. 2 minutes. Since this video i had started it again with more water pressure and water was exceeding through telltale, impeller is healthy but before going out onto the water, outboard is getting full service and check over :) Also i rang evinrude dealership and they said to use muffs to properly flush engine instead of using the flush port, so ill try this also. thanks for watching!

Cool Mack, sounds great!

Right on! thanks daniel, love the etecs!
What is the connector you used from the garden hose to the flush port? Thanks and great vids.
hey mate, come with the outboard!
Such a good sound when it started right up Mate. Get out there fishing Brother. I wade fish mostly, no water vehicle for me but still have a great time. Peace
Its was great to hear her start up for the first time!
thanks for watching :)
sounds good bro, you must be so happy with this build
Absolutely stoked mate, cant wait to take you out on it :P
@@AngryMackAdventures the boat won't be the only thing that will get wet :P
Where do you find your manual???? Looking for a manual for my 1999 200 Johnson and can’t find it anywhere
How’s it going, your videos are awesome and I also have a 2008 Evinrude Etec 150 and I was wondering if you could help with a link where you found your installation guide. Thank you
4Reel Fishing Hawai’i hey mate thanks for watching! Absolutely
I used this

Nice my man, alot of hard work and effort to get to this point keep it up!!
Thanks a lot bash, sure has been!
Nice. But after all that work, you install a 2 stroke?
Wingster Rod hey mate, ahh just personal preference, I like the way 2 strokes perform. The hours/condition/price of this outboard it was a no brainer to buy. Sweet man.
thanks mate!
Well done.
thankyou!!
At 10:30 is he London uk? If not he bloody sounds it 😂
Boat looks awesome.
What year is the Evinrude ?
It's reasonably quiet and smooth compared to my 115 Mercury which sounds like a dirt bike.
Is ur outboard a 2 stroke
Hey danny, 2006
@@mistakez4855 mine is

Yes going hydraulic Hydrive system in the boat :)
At the end of the build can you do a price check list of everything
Yes definitely something im going to do, im keen to see what it adds up to!
hit any open edges of wood with epoxy. that hole you installed the oil tank in will rot at the edges if you dont do this. i use west system clear penetrating epoxy
Oh yes great idea I’ll be sure to do this, thanks for watching :)
@@AngryMackAdventures I just finished replacing a whole floor because of rot so always to stay ahead of it if you can
Century batteries recommend that the starting cables go on to the main battery posts , not on the threaded posts .
thanks for the note mate i didn't know this!, i will look into it. If thats the case i'll definitely be changing the terminals to the main posts, thank-you!
How much did it cost in total, excluding the outboard?
Hi Luca, there will be a full video on cost and hours in the near future, need to add everything up :') but for full boat restoration inside and out doing the work yourself with trailer may be cheaper then you think !
about how many hours do you think went into this total?
hey mate, i lost count at 200 hours :') but i will do a breakdown shortly on costing and hours (roughly)
@@AngryMackAdventures Great, I am thinking about restoring my 1982 wellcraft V20 and I just want to see about how much it would cost
@@AngryMackAdventures 😮 200+ wow that’s bloody crazy, I’m shocked.
Good vid but that connector is only for cold flushing, otherwise you have to use muffs
Hi Jacky, thanks for the note, i didn't have muffs for the video but definitely be purchasing some for future engine flushing, thank-you for watching!
@@AngryMackAdventures no problem man there really good engines amd great build man aswell
Couldn't you just extend oil line all the way to the primer instead of using that brass fitting
Hey mate thanks for watching! needed that extra 100mm to run neatly with the fuel line, something i will be change in the future, just working with what i got and keeping eye on budget :)
No more evinrudes are being made
:( very sad
yeahh that's a shame, i wasn't happy when i heard the news, they are wicked engines!
Why wasn’t there water coming out of the telltale
Yeah I was wondering the same thing. The flush port / tell tail is only for flushing the power head “without” the engine running!
