This is certainly a method I have never seen before and it looks promising. I was worried that the fig cutting would get mold sitting on top of the fridge but if what you show is the result it looks like a better than the method I use which is just stick in a cup of dirt. I will share this video with the fig community to spread the word. I will try it to do on my experimental fig cuttings I collected yesterday probably tonight 12/4/2024.
It's funny because I got mold on some cuttings when I put them in a pot and covered the pot with a clear plastic bag. However, I have heard that the stick in the cup method works, but I just haven't mastered it. Thanks for watching!
Ugh well it's 12/18/24 and I got white mold. It was too much humidity in the bag or maybe I just did it wrong. Ah well it was worth a shot and I was able to save my cuttings because the rot wasn't too bad. My other healthier cuttings in coco coir does get a little mold on top though once in a while so I think it's all due to moisture so I'm going to put a lot less moisture. I'm sure I need practice.
