I've been watching these (Pethericks& Diy) channels for some time, along with Ryan, Sadie, Mo, Sean & their friends with other chateau's. They're a great group of hard working, creative people who help each other with love in their hearts. They enjoy their work in bringing their bldgs back to life. I did have 1 correction because I thought Billie said they were able to purchase the chateau because Gwen had inherited some money from someone in her family. She's doesn't appear in the videos as often as everyone else, so she should get credit where it is do. These guys are so much more worth watching than anything on TV & the music they set to the videos is awesome!
Also, 'The Pethericks ' is Billy's TH-cam channel while Michael's page is called 'Doing It Ourselves', tho they do help each other and share time on their respective channels sometimes.
I do also watch Micheal and Billy’s channel for some time, respect for him and family, but only miss Micheal’s video’s, he is really a amazing guy, and a great artist…it is incredible what they already reached these day, with the of the whole family, friends. Love the videos of Mo and Sadie…and Ryan of course.
Gwen bought the chateau from an inheritance. She is Gwendolyn Mouchel, part of the Lesaffre Yeast Empire. She also has a degree in international marketing and business. With it she built their Wedding and events business at the château, plus holiday rentals. It’s a lovely, hardworking family and I love watching them restore and preserve their historical buildings.

I have Boycotted the Strawbridges since they blatantly cheated Michael and his signature wallpaper/fabric design he did for them. Cold and grasping. The Pethericks are such a warm and hardworking family. Some of their projects make my back ache just THINKING about them let alone actually doing them. Crack on!

I think Gwendoline has to be a very unselfish and generous human beings. A lovely French woman who not only inherited the chateau she inherited all of her husband’s relatives too. What a wonderful ready made family for her as she has lost her own parents sadly. I think she probably keeps Billie on the straight and narrow who might just need to be reined in occasionally. He loves her to bits and his boys and works hard to achieve. It’s so enlightening that none of them take her fortune for granted and contribute when necessary. Don’t ever change. .

The Pethericks are a great bunch. It's been lovely 'getting to know' them, they include and involve their viewers on the journey and there's no 'side' to them, they're just down to earth and authentic. They face the disappointments - admit it doesn't feel good then work out how to move forward. They work in sympathy with the buildings never cutting corners. The chateau and the convent are 2 different buildings. They live at the chateau. The convent is in a nearby town. They're a very hard working family. I watch Billy and Michael and Ryan and Mo and Sadie and Sean on their sites. I enjoy watching them all. 👍

He started to spend it wisely then he went on a trip for a couple of months with a lover and squandered all the money. Then his lover broke up with him. But he did find love again.

The Pethericks is predominantly Billie's channel..Michael and several of their friends, who are helping out with the renovations, also have their own channels.. The Pethericks are a wonderful family I’ve followed them for years now, they work so hard and they are very talented plus they are really lovely people, all of them, including there friends of which there are many, every video they make is a pleasure to watch ❤️

Funfact i found their channel because of the less flattering Newsreport on the guardian i think about him being awop from military and was later found guilty. This man did it right away from the mobbing crowd in his life and into his dream
I think he returned to face his judgement and overall was allowed to return and live peacefully without it looming over his head anymore. He did the right thing and has reaped what he sowed whether it was good or bad. Overall i think it worked out good for him. I get the feeling there was a few skeletons in the closet that the army didnt want out and they let him go as long as he kept his mouth shut.

Comments about Billy being an "army deserter" have to be wrong. He did have have a job maintaining royal properties, which under their system would make him a part of the military. I've been watching all of them for ages now but it gets annoying when it takes weeks to wait for a video only the have it filled with the usual fluff and all they actually did for the whole time was unscrew a power switch panel. I also get annoyed when people on youtube beg for money for themselves so they can make videos. If you want to make videos for youtube, do it but don't keep begging people for money or likes and complaining about all the effort put into it if you don't really want to do it. It's not just them, it just seems that everyone on youtube is carrying on about not having enough time to do videos but needs more subscribers. We do follow and we do subscribe and like, so just stop already with the carry on over time filming and editing because it's your choice to make each upload a bloody movie
To understand their frustrations of doing videos is to understand the costs, work and time constraints of doing so. It’s a catch 22 situation. It’s also pretty impossible to put excitement in doing the more mundane time consuming jobs, especially when the vids are daily, but Billy & the boys work hard at being upbeat and humorous to keep it interesting. The Pethericks & Co are the best of best …So let’s just Crack On hey!
"At the abandoned convent" is a wonderful series!! They're really open about running into problems, getting "stuck" in projects, and when stuff is creepy or cool. Billy is always open about stating that "we are not prepared to handle this problem we ran across, so we hired (name) in to do it" The entire channel is WELL worth the watch!
This is not accurate as I watch both channels, Michaels and Billy’s. Billy’s wife inherited a great deal of money before buying the chateau. Michael is seldom in the vlogs in Billy’s channel nor does he create much on his now as well. Billy has inherited their Fathers hard work ethic.

I've been watching these (Pethericks& Diy) channels for some time, along with Ryan, Sadie, Mo, Sean & their friends with other chateau's. They're a great group of hard working, creative people who help each other with love in their hearts. They enjoy their work in bringing their bldgs back to life. I did have 1 correction because I thought Billie said they were able to purchase the chateau because Gwen had inherited some money from someone in her family. She's doesn't appear in the videos as often as everyone else, so she should get credit where it is do. These guys are so much more worth watching than anything on TV & the music they set to the videos is awesome!

I think Gwendoline has to be a very unselfish and generous human beings. A lovely French woman who not only inherited the chateau she inherited all of her husband’s relatives too. What a wonderful ready made family for her as she has lost her own parents sadly. I think she probably keeps Billie on the straight and narrow who might just need to be reined in occasionally. The Pethericks are a great bunch. It's been lovely 'getting to know' them, they include and involve their viewers on the journey and there's no 'side' to them, they're just down to earth and authentic.

Billys wife received an inheritance and that's what they bought their chateau and the convent with. Michael did get the money from the Go Fund Me. He started to spend it wisely then he went on a trip for a couple of months with a lover and squandered all the money. Then his lover broke up with him. But he did find love again.

I think the Pethericks are terrific people, a great example of resourcefulness, hands-on work ethic and pretty humourous bunch especially with their circle of friends. Only good things to say !!!
The reason Billy moved to France and wasn’t a citizen was because he was hiding because he deserted the Army and ran away to France in 2009.
I think all that's cleared up now and he has copped his judgement and everyone moved on since then.

The Pethericks are a wonderful family I’ve followed them for years now, they work so hard and they are very talented plus they are really lovely people, all of them, including there friends of which there are many, every video they make is a pleasure to watch ❤️

I think he returned to face his judgement and overall was allowed to return and live peacefully without it looming over his head anymore. He did the right thing and has reaped what he sowed whether it was good or bad. Overall i think it worked out good for him.

The best thing that Michael did was to encourage Stephanie Jarvis to become a blogger. However unfortunately his inability to become consistent has been an extreme issue-when he was re sorting/building his cottage he would constantly beg & plead for cash:donations, cup of coffee money & regular donations. It got manotanus.

Yes been watching them for a few years now they are great people and have good taste and foresight i think they are fantastic and very lucky to be doing what they do. Who wouldn’t want to live and renovate a chateau like that. Beats your average suburban McMansion any-day.

Comments about Billy being an "army deserter" have to be wrong. He did have have a job maintaining royal properties, which under their system would make him a part of the military. There was some confusion of how he left, could have been without proper notice. He returned to England to answer the charges and now he is in France. Apparently a mix-up, and not that big of a deal. Otherwise he couldn't come and go as he pleases now. Just goes to show us all not to believe everything, somebody tried to make it seems like he was "on the run", yet he posted videos of himself from France. "That's how he got caught", wrote the author of that mess.

I've been watching all of them for ages now but it gets annoying when it takes weeks to wait for a video only the have it filled with the usual fluff and all they actually did for the whole time was unscrew a power switch panel. I also get annoyed when people on youtube beg for money for themselves so they can make videos. If you want to make videos for youtube, do it but don't keep begging people for money or likes and complaining about all the effort put into it if you don't really want to do it. It's not just them, it just seems that everyone on youtube is carrying on about not having enough time to do videos but needs more subscribers. We do follow and we do subscribe and like, so just stop already with the carry on over time filming and editing because it's your choice to make each upload a bloody movie

It’s a catch 22 situation.
It’s also pretty impossible to put excitement in doing the more mundane time consuming jobs, especially when the vids are daily, but Billy & the boys work hard at being upbeat and humorous to keep it interesting.

"At the abandoned convent" is a wonderful series!! They're really open about running into problems, getting "stuck" in projects, and when stuff is creepy or cool. Billy is always open about stating that "we are not prepared to handle this problem we ran across, so we hired (name) in to do it"

This is not accurate as I watch both channels, Michaels and Billy’s. Billy’s wife inherited a great deal of money before buying the chateau. Michael is seldom in the vlogs in Billy’s channel nor does he create much on his now as well. Billy has inherited their Fathers hard work ethic.
