Dear Billy, Last year I read a comment from the daughter of CHARLEAN NELSON from America. Her mother had died the day you fitted the bell and she felt that it was comforting her. I replied, that in the future when I heard the bell ring, I would mention her mothers name in the comments, just to let her know that someone still remembered her sorrow and her mother. Well today was the first time I heard the convent bell ring, so I am keeping my promise. I wish CHARLEAN NELSONS daughter blessings and my warmest wishes. I wish you Billy warmest wishes for me being able to do this. Maybe it will help her a little bit. See how wonderful your channel is. It's NOT just a DIY channel, people from all over the world have invested in your achievements and are interested in other peoples lives too. Warmest wishes to you all, I am so glad I can see your tremendous progress on an almost daily basis. Pam

I think that the tiles will be ideal for the Convent altar area. If you have insufficient you can make a plain border picking out one of the colours in the pattern

    • @barbarashapiro7499

Billy, I think those tiles would be perfect for the old Altar space in the Chapel. Here is hoping you have enough to cover the area. If you are a litter short, you could use the tiles, and frame them in a matching solid, to the blue or gold in the patterned ones. It is lovely to hear the voices of children echoing through the chateau…life makes all the difference.🖤🇨🇦

@@ARTEMISE31 It would look good with oak framing too, as Billy said…but over time the wear rate would be very different between tile and wood, so hopefully he will consider using one of the jewel tones from the tiles to give a classy finishing frame, and tie it all in together nicely. Wood heat warms you twice. When you cut it and when you burn it, but solar would be amazing. In the attic, sprinkle some chalk dust or flour on the floor, back you way out and then the next time you hear anything, check for footprints, large or small.

It is amazing, the size of the Chateau's basement. The ceilings are tall and there is so much space. The other day I was thinking about your Chateau and the convent and thinking that solar might be a really good option. Also, we heat with a heat pump and it's just great. Heats the whole place with no problem, then in the summer you reset it and it's an air conditioner and keeps you cool. Well, I have to say you and Ryan are a lot braver than I am. I heard the footsteps, but when that door shut and you both just stood there, I was like, why aren't they running away! Or checking behind the door! Crazy! The tiles look nice.

On noises in the old convent - big buildings have all sorts of air currents that can move windows, doors, rattle panels, etc. Also, sounds can travel around from quite long distances, some may be from the street yet sound close inside. When a building is well occupied, you don't notice it, but when you are on your own for instance those sounds just seem ethereal.

Two thumbs up on the tiles for sure. Ghosts in the convent shouldn't surprise anyone. Great video and great to see Ryan.

Love the tiles Billy - perfect. If there are spirits at the Convent Billy, or the Chateau - just - Send Them to the Light - that's all they want.

The tiles look very nice in the chapel! Spooky hearing footsteps overhead but perhaps they are friendly. Thanks Billy🙏❤️

Love solar idea for home heating👍
Rose tiles are perfect pattern for the altar, and oak will compliment them perfectly.
Hope you and Ryan can spend the rest of the day with feet up, resting from your tiling and your partying 😄

I only found this channel last week. Very very cool. Even my granddaughter was instantly hooked. The tiles with the border would be amazing. 2 things though. First, I saw a comment about 10.24 in the video. There is something in the bottom left corner of the doorway. At first I thought it might be light reflecting from something, but it moves forward and back as if peaking around the doorframe then hiding. To me it looks like the outline of a child. Maybe something not seen on the other side of the wall was moving in the breeze causing it. Second, rats and mice hop sometimes and it sounds like someone walking. Once had a mouse that hopped down my stairs, i was so sure it was a human i grabbed the gun. I didn't shoot the mouse but he did move on to another place.

Your Halloween parties look like lots of fun. Everyone dancing and having a great time. No surprise about ghosts in the convent. As someone else said, I'd be surprised if there weren't any.
The floor tiles look amazing. The pattern is beautiful.

The dark blue, bulbous Celtic(?) crosses are what first caught my eye. The rest ,serendipitous. Hard to imagine any of the former occupants bearing ill toward the present ones. Just unfinished emotions, talking about how uneasy you are when you experience these moments is helpful. Like small children know, the loudest noise gets attention. The renovation process is stirring up so much energy stuff from the site of devotion, war, wounded, changing times and yes as you observed, wonder what they were praying about?

They say Halloween is when the vail between the living and the dead is closest. To be in such an old building and not hear things would be unusual in my opinion. Please don’t be afraid, I’m sure their not there to cause harm ❤️
The tiles look beautiful. Happy to see everyone enjoying the party, great costumes as always

That was the best Halloween party I’ve ever seen!!! Really enjoyed seeing everyone and all the dancing!!! 🇺🇸🎃 I love it when people try to justify footsteps with the “wind” or a “draft” , since they sound so much alike. 😂😂😂

The tiles are perfect Billy!!! An oak frame to highlight it would be the icing on the cake, as the saying goes! Maybe sprinkle some flour on the upper floor to see if there are any footprints days later? Maybe it was a crow or other large bird pecking for bugs in the roof tiles....the crows in my area sure make a noticeable thumping sound on my roof! Just a thought.

If not enough, start on the outside edges with what you have, then, under the instrument, plain tiles. That design is just too gorgeous to hide.

How in the heck could you keep so calm when that door closed? I would have been out the next second. Holy S%€##!! Also, the door was so obvious and you are concerned with footsteps. You guys are made of steel. This convent has some inhabitants trying to make a statement. Well, the bricks, floortiles, absolutely beautiful and so fitting in the space. Go for it!
