- Did a "bad" job mooncutting my valvecover but paint came out alright. Did some cam degreeing on my Skunk 2 Tuner 2 cams.

Appreciate the video! Also, if you ever end up doing moon cuts again I found it easy to do with an old busted head and some messed up cams. You can bolt the valve cover on with an old gasket to get the correct height and remove the cam gears off the cams. That way you can use the holes from the cam to center your bit for the hole saw and get the holes true to the cam gear location.
I personally dislike moon cuts. I enjoy the whole side gone so the faces of the gears are exposed not the belt, so you could cut just the whole side out. I have a cover cut like that and I really love it.

You could just cut a rectangle on the cam Gear side of the valve cover but if it works it works lol
do you know if D series locking pin will works on B-H series? im looking for one set only for degree cams, i dont need a complete kit.
Nice man! Valve cover came out amazing despite the "OCD adjustment". Lol Friends and family keep telling me I need to get my build on video, I tried shooting a few and feel awkward talking to the camera.
Ty Joyce, yeah I won’t lie it is a big awkward. Main thing is I enjoy it and watching TH-cam builds gave me the push to finally get my crx done. I’ve been in the game since lol 2000. Held onto this car since about 2007. Hoping I can push/motivate others.
Hope this isn’t a dumb question but did you have to set your valve lash before you started? Or it doesn’t matter because your just looking for the centerline?

You’ll have to look at the cam cards and degree them on your engine

Is that all that is required to degree a cam?

Missing 1 vital point ... You cannot determine true TDC with a Dial gauge, you need to use a piston stop... Hence every adjustment made will be inaccurate.
Gary Claydon yeah I can’t quite account for piston dwell but this was a decent starting point for the dyno and ultimately ended up leaving them actually. Now that I’ve swapped to smaller cams I’m excited to hit the dyno again
Is that a storage facility? I was looking into getting one for a garage but its pretty expensive out here.
