How and why is this the real deal? Are we living in the 80s that we need a 6200 cc engine ?! A 2000 cc turbo diesel can easily give 150+ bhp with proper tuning and performance parts can give 200+!
@@NileshKumar-uf4vh . That's a bit different to 430 bhp and probably about 800 n/m torque . However , I do agree . Three Litre diesel is the size to go in LWB Landy .
@@JoeTalksCars ah sorry mate no, I work for a salvage company, I just collect them from recovery yards and bring them to our yard, they get auctioned off or parted out usually, Wish I could get my hands on it tho
Apart from the standard door hinges, which they could have done more on, the rust on the rear NAS step and chassis rails gives me a feel of ‘fur coat and no knicker’ that doesn’t sit well with my given how much this vehicle costs. A shame, as the attentions to detail elsewhere looks good.
Probably should have been more clear in the video. This is a used car, back In for a little tlc before being sold on. So the rust on the rear(well spotted by the way) is of course going to be sorted. There are some bits and bobs around the car that will be made perfect too. These cars are just next level when it comes to the build, I wasn’t sure at first but I see the value and if I had the funds I would be driving one.
In Europe you can get that from a 3 litre… so what? Do you know what 300hp feels like in a Defender? My Defender is in the process of being rebuilt to a similar spec, but I fail to see the point of a huge “gas” engine. I stick to the td5 tuned to 200hp. I get 700km on a standard 75l tank - great when you are 150km away from a fuel station. And I can go at the legal speed limit with 5 people, 1 ton cargo, towing 2 tons, uphill. What more do you want?
I've driven one of these though I don't think it was the twisted version but one which was blacked out like that one with a diesel engine. Sadly ulez forced the owner to sell it 😢
Normally you couldn’t but this one has been made luxurious and fitted with a similar sized lump as the original g63. Plus both cars have originally been built for the same purpose. Incredible piece of kit but on balance I’d have a G🤣
@@JoeTalksCarswhat model was this Sir? I have been offered a 1994 fully customised but not sure what price to pay..has the 5.3 V8 in manual.not twisted but done my owner very well.im toying with billing the bullet..need assistance with pricing..its one I absolutely adore
Kind of kills the whole point of a proper Defender, putting those chunky rubber band tires on it. More form than function sadly. But to each their own I guess.
These here is the real deal 😍😍😍
They sure are! 6.2 litre goodness:)

Awesome video. Please don’t twist the camera in a circle like that, got really dizzy.
🤣 il tell the camera man! It’s the one thing I didn’t direct 🤣🤣
Picked a crashed one up today
Very nice
A twisted one or a normal one?
Twisted one mate

@@JoeTalksCars OK, fair dos and thanks for the update. CO2 clean and Raptor coating will sort that out for which I’m sure Twisted are aware.
Even Twisted has rust on em
6:46 rear crossmember
Yeah I mean this is an old one. Twisted built it years ago and it’s back In as a trade in.
My TD5 had rust on the back door bolts from new. Bi-metallic corrosion is a given on any Landy.
Ok fantastic
In America, 6.2L supposed at least 530hp, 430hp.
They de tune them for obvious reasons even tho they can get far more horse power.

Yeah the twisted ones are all petrol and ulez friendly.
That looks better than a Jeep wrangler but my favorite is the Hummer H2 and cheaper 😊
Ooh good point! Love a H2
