5 months. Lost 14 pounds. Just walking 30 minutes a day -- not even running. Now I'm running, eating whole food, and incorporating weights. Fourteen pounds!
@@libratude9595 LOOOOOOOOL you do realise that Ozempic long term effects are blindness and death right ? As in, you might wake up one day permanently unable to see. LOL if losing weight faster is worth becoming blind for the rest of your life good luck LMAO
@@libratude9595 I disagree -- I think they're doing great. Losing 14 pounds over 5 months is more healthy and sustainable than losing 20 pounds in 2 weeks. General recommendations are to lose 1-2 lbs per week. 10 lbs per week is very extreme
@@libratude9595 Oh wow, 20lbs in two weeks? Congrats on speedrunning malnutrition. Hopefully, your liver, muscles, and common sense are all still intact. But hey, at least you'll be the lightest person in the ER when Ozempic catches up to you.
did you adjust the tightness of the belt? if you’ve got that “jolt,” that typically means it’s not tight enough. just got mine today and gave it a try; we’ll see how it goes after a month.
Putting your phone in your pocket might be an alternative. Assuming it contributes to step data. It relies less on a swing movement compared to a [smart] watch since phones are not expected to be in your hands while walking
What do you think of red and near infrared light therapy? I purchased one of those lights recently and so far I like it. That walking pad looks a little too narrow as well. I won’t get that one :)
I have a red light device that I have been using mostly to try to heal up a gnarley ankle tear that I’m still recovering from but it has improved greatly. What’s your experience with it ? For the walking pad - I actually like how narrow it is cuz it takes up less space that way. but otherwise there seems to be better options out there!
You can get an ankle step counter pretty cheap like $10. Another option is do the math: steps per mile * mph * time. Then just determine how much time you need for step goal. I'm shopping for one now. Sedentary lifestyle led to pulmonary blood clot. 3 days in hospital, blood thinners. I need one that supports 270#, won't break after 3mo, or break the bank.
Literally the first thing I thought of was “Will it work with the Apple Watch and Apple Health” to track my steps and..I don’t understand how nobody considers this basic feature for these pads.
@@JayFriedrichsthe Walking Pad ones apparently have an Apple app integration with KS Fit which can act as an Apple Health source for step tracking, but this looks like the sort of dodgily translated Chinese app that leaks all your data lol
@@JayFriedrichsput your phone in your pocket on your pants. Use any kind of step counting app on there - voila. On iPhones you can set the priority (like phone counts 1 step, watch counts 0 it usually takes the 0 from the watch, but you can reverse the priority order)
So many miles, curious to hear if you find a replacement. I'm shopping for one right know. Needs to support 270# and hopefully pay without breaking the bank
Update: The best option for tracking steps is watch around the ankle. Thanks for all the recs. Why don’t you walk on over to that like button bucko 🤠

which walking pad do u use? thanks
It took you 5mos to lose 14lbs? That's not a great selling point or a flex.
I lost 20lbs in 2 weeks on Ozempic, eating healthy and walking.

Bro, please keep making videos. It's really enjoyable watching them
Thank you very much (: this means a lot to me. Almost done with the next video!
fitbit flex 2 with an ankle strap is the best ive found for accurately tracking steps.
I saw someone put their watch on their ankles instead, to count their steps better
I do this and it works great! I had to swap the watch band tho, because my ankles were too thick for the ones I was using before.
@@jbslvI just tuck the watch into my sock
@@davefink2326 nice idea. Is the heart rate monitor working?
@@jbslv Are you getting good step counts? What's the smoothest most silent option? :-D
I have Garmin cheststrap and it counts all steps indoors

One month check in!
Nice video man! Thanks a lot 👊🏽 just ordered the walking pad r2 so I’m super excited!
Put your watch on the ankle to count steps
Yeah that’s a great alternative, I actually put that in shorts video about it (: still don’t prefer to do that but is an option

Thanks for the heads up about the watch not collecting steps--I'm going to duct tape my watch to my ankle and see if that makes a difference.

Ideally, use it when watching a film/episode or listening to a podcast.

Did he every name the brand of the walking pad?
Could you incline this walking pad by raising it on something? Thanks
You might be able to get away with it but it could stress the motor or cause it to leak lubricant.
Walkolution is an incredible mechanical treadmill!
Put your phone in your pocket then walk instead of using the watch to track..

It would be pretty easy to calculate how many steps you do manually if you really care about it
Is it still jolting and how is it now??
It actually isn’t jolting anymore. Still works great
I use Google fit from my phone while walking which is connected to my watch and it syncs perfect.
It’s not an issue of syncing. It’s an issue of hands not moving when on the desk

You could keep your phone in your pocket to track steps. Thanks for this video!
@@a0-0g accelerometer doesn’t quite work right doing this. Watch around ankle seems to be best
I just bought a full size treadmill for this very reason
Just put your phone in your pocket. That will track your steps.
Doesn’t work accurately, also use my phone for working on stuff. Ankle strap works best
I place my apple watch in a fanny pack or my pocket - solves tracking steps accurately.
That wouldn’t work accurately because the accelerometer wouldn’t pick up movement. Might as well keep it on ur wrist at that point
cant you just put your iPhone in your pocket while walking as it also counts steps..
No accelerometers don’t work well in pockets
Think about it ur standing in place
