This is definitely one of those situations where using a Corpo specific line on a corpo security officer should have changed the outcome of the future. Each role should have unlocked more avenues and even blocked you from some depending on the situation.

Oda's boss was always Hanako-- These are body guards. Adam Smasher protected Yorinobu, Oda Hanako and Takemura Saburo. Regardless, they're still his superiors.

They coulda added different outcomes in this depending on your life path. Nomad is the more neutral option where what we already know happens happens, corpo has Oda more cooperative and street kid could be where V acts on impulse and they force Oda to take them to Hanako in a battle in the alley. What you choose affects your relationship with Goro who wished not to fight.
Takemura would later feel stupid when an almost completely organic V hid in the corner for half a minute and then snuck up behind Oda for a 1 button takedown
Really wish they gave more missions where you could exploit your corpo lifepath corpo lifepath is the most interesting to me it feels like they showed favortism towards the nomad path and panam who honestly isnt my type which i know is taboo in this community

Funny, I would have said the relationship you're railroaded into was with Judy. You don't really have much say about helping her until after Evie is found. Of course as I write this I'm reminded that You MUST complete all of Takamura's missions to get the mission that starts the endgame and Finishing ALL Panam's storyline is needed for the "Good Ending". Once you have the lead to the Voodoo Boys you can technically ignore Judy though it would be terrible not to finish up the Both Sides Now sidequest.
What I really want to know is did V shit themselves and never clean up, but wiped it on their face as brown face paint? Get 3-4 feet from any random NPC and they start making snarky comments and looking at you like you are a disgusting bug that stinks to high heaven. Stop at a "no walk" crosswalk with 3 NPC's and endless insults about your presence for example.
