In this video, I replace the Hub and Wheel Bearing assembly on a 2006 Jeep Commander. Both front wheel bearings needed to be replaced so I changed them both out and fixed the ABS code, along with the noise coming from the front end. If your the wheel bearing you are trying to replace is a press-in wheel bearing, click on the following link and it will bring you to a DIY on how to fix that.

Damn. U know this has been the best video on replacing the hub assembly I've seen all week. Me and fiancee have watched 5 different people that take down EVERYTHING, EVERY screw u could think of... just to snap off the assembly and replace it... done!... smh
    THANK U FOR THIS VIDEO

Great video. I knew how to do it, but you cleared up a few things. Glad it is not just me who forgets the brake dust shield. Certain you found it when cleaning up. Torqueing the axel nut needs more explanation for the viewers.

Very nice. I've had a difficult time with the bearing on my enclave, that's really seized on there. I tried some other tips that all failed or wouldn't work because of various configurations. I hit the tool store & got a bearing puller. After beating the crap out of it, it finally came out. Thanks for the great tip, you saved me from taking it to a shop.

Hey Milan, just wanted to tell you that I'm buying a VW Bora, aka a MK4 Jetta, which is pretty much Golf with a boot. Its timing belt had snapped so the valves are bent so those are going to need replacing. But thankfully for the rest of the small jobs I'll be able to watch your videos for help, because the Bora is basically a Golf underneath and on the inside. Just wanted to tell you that you'll be of great value ;).

Use a wire brush on the exposed threads before you start the undo, the lube will help as well. But the rust can damage the threads and make the nuts loose. Good video. On Range Rover similar set up, the book says use Loctite 648 on the splines. First time I have ever heard of this. I think copper ease loosely applied does the trick. The second hand hubs came without any trace of lube or loctite.. Job being done soon as I get new bolts.
