- It was a busy morning with lots of trains heading east out of Winnipeg on the Sprague subdivision. First up was a general freight train at Lorette siding... followed fairly closely by an oil train, which I also caught at a different spot on Lorette siding. Finally, I found a potash train leaving Winnipeg a while later and to my surprise it had CN 3008, the "heritage" locomotive decorated for the Illinois Central Railroad that CN acquired after it went private.
The video has the 3 trains in sequence, but if you're super impatient to skip to the IC unit, go to 01:50. You'll see three different views of CN 3008, from my Akaso "Go Pro", my phone and my video camera. I wanted to be sure I got it! ;) - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
First time I see the Illinois Central heritage unit, thanks Steve.
You're welcome!
I found my first ICRR/CN railroad hairpin railroad spike in wickcliffe kentucky and it was in the main line since 1977-2024 it looks like new still there some casting pits but it’s made from spring steel
Wow - that's amazing!
Awesome catch of 3008 Steve, I liked how you had it go by three times.
Thanks, Justin! I wanted to be sure I got it 😉
2:07 The IC Unit is here.

It has been on oil trains but this is a potash train, and I saw it a few days later on a general freight train.
