+That Special Educator Mrs. Braelan , I only wish that all of this was around back when I was a SPED student in school myself because I had to learn things a different way and at a different pace too and I have often always wondered why I was seeing what was happening at the time and the big reward for teacher tubers like you to me is that videos like this helps me see more of the root of what is really going on and what I did not see before and come to understanding that I could not before but now at a time where school is over a decade behind me and I have all of the space I need to take in things at my pace and not at the pace that someone else forces or used to force on me . Let me put it like this . They need to do an observation ( or observations plural ) when they have you doing their curriculum on those students and meeting the students whom they are forcing their curriculum on and if the curriculum that they are forcing you to teach does not work with students as in you start getting behaviors , etc . don't feel bad or it's a bad observation day , etc . because the joke falls back on the school . Just like my teachers had to do with me that school needs to learn what works with the students and what does not work with the students the HARD way if it ever comes down to it . In short , If all else fails , You may end up having to let the students " stick it to the man " . Keep your head up ! - Dwight
I’m so glad I found your channel. I am a special education teacher too. I really like how you explain how you incorporate the MFMM with your other curriculum. I teach 5th grade sped and get so frustrated trying to teach grade level curriculum to my students but also trying to fill in the gaps of what they still need to learn from previous grades. I am not familiar with MFMM. Is that something you can use with older students too?
So currently it is for younger students, but they are hoping to begin to build it for older. The curriculum focuses on K-2. It is sold by Especially Education on Teachers Pay Teachers.
