A Closer Look at Devil Creek Dam

I found myself at the Devil Creek Resivoir coming home from a trip in utah. It is a smaller dam site, which seemed to be built with low maintenance in mind. That's sad owing to the fact that since the reservoir seems to be flowing constantly through the outlet pipe, it could be generating at least a small amount of electricity that could be put back into the grid. I had my IVUE Horizon Pro camera glasses with me on this trip, but i thought they were out of juice, so i used my phone as a secondary camera.

That 'strange' building is a valve house. Inside there is a valve control to reduce/increase the flow of water.

Thanks for the info! I figured that was the function that it performed owing to the low amount of outflow at the bottom. Feel free to look at some of my other videos, I'd love to have some input regarding other dam related structures that i've documented.
