What I love about this fight is that it paints a different story from DMC3. True it ends with a fight with Vergil but the difference is the reasoning. In 3, Dante and Vergil continuously fought over their ideologies that clashed with each other, Dante learning to accept his heritage, with Vergil wanting to deny his humanity to gain similar power to their father. Here it’s not about ending your family, but to save it, heal it, prevent any more damage to it. Characters in DMC have never been good at admitting their true feelings, being emotionally reserved, bottling their feelings basically. Which has created problems amongst these prideful demigods. And Nero earning back that power to protect those he loves is what separates him from Vergil. As if Nero is saying “Enough is enough! Stop repeating this endless cycle of self destruction!”

38:30 Dante killed Nelo Angelo who was created with Vergil's soul. Vergil dies at the end of the 3rd game while facing Mundus because they weren't strong enough yet
Trish's role in the game was slightly more significant, especially if you read the Visions of V manga but I share the same sentiment. They are only used as bosses and Dante takes their main weapons.
This game was my introduction to dmc, so you could imagine my shock when I shot what I thought was a decently powerful missile at Vergil, only for him to, I don’t know, *fucking deflect it*
vergil didn't kill thousands of people. red grave is based on london, one of the most populated and busiest cities in the world. millions are dead. and don't forget the temen-ni-gru in 3, which was raised in the middle of the city dante's based in, again, killing or disrupting millions of lives. and while vergil didn't personally kill all those people, his actions lead to their deaths.
All over a misunderstanding caused by a VERY big leap in logic on his part thinking that because his mom didn't go to look for him, she never intended to and only cared for Dante.
I just finished Devil May Cry 4 recently (hella played this series out of order. 3, 5, 1, 2, 4 but not DmC yet.) it would be interesting if Credo returned.
I just hate seeing how every youtuber just play the easiet difficulty in dmc 5 where Vergil is so weak, not even in hp but in his limited and slowed movements all right, at least here does not give up so easily by using like 6 old orbs in one fight, i give him that one
I would love for Capcom to make a) Lady and Trish DLC for DMC 5 b) make a new game centered around Nero and or c) made a game about Dante and Vergil in Hell trying to find out what happened to Sparda. Because he's never been confirmed dead. All that's ever said is that he suddenly disappeared. And wasn't it like hinted in DMC 4 that Mundus is alive? What if during their journey through Hell the brothers encounter Mundus and he says something offhanded about having dealt with Sparda. And then they go find their father. And when the going get's tough in the final battle, a time skip older Nero shows up to help get his uncle and father out of Hell. That would be dope as all hell

4:47 badass
28:30 emotional
32:42. When Max mastered Hi-Fi Rush before we all did.
32:46 ohhhhh my god
Just look to the music is timing with nero and vergil fight wow
Silver bullet is easily one of my top five boss themes of all time. I'm obsessed
Don't know how many people noticed it but Vergil was about to cut Dante's head off to stop him from saying "Jackpot" at 53:32
You feel like a rare American who not only likes games, but also has a good understanding of Japan. And DMC's playing technique may be better than me. Smokin Sexy Style feels good.
38:30 Dante killed Nelo Angelo who was created with Vergil's soul. Vergil dies at the end of the 3rd game while facing Mundus because they weren't strong enough yet
The _actual_ pinnacle of combat
I just hate how trish and lady were so underused and none playable. We didnt even see them fight properly in cutscenes..🙄
They were kinda unless throughout the game.
Trish's role in the game was slightly more significant, especially if you read the Visions of V manga but I share the same sentiment. They are only used as bosses and Dante takes their main weapons.
@dean-fk4tr yeah well i dont read the manga. I play the games. Thats no excuse.
"Swordster!...
Trick-slinger!...
Gun-Guard!"
Vergil harnesses the power of ultra instinct.
This game was my introduction to dmc, so you could imagine my shock when I shot what I thought was a decently powerful missile at Vergil, only for him to, I don’t know, *fucking deflect it*
Another great stream from Max. Waiting for his reaction to the Vergil's Special Edition
I like how they just forget that he killed thousands of people just to get stronger
vergil didn't kill thousands of people.
red grave is based on london, one of the most populated and busiest cities in the world. millions are dead. and don't forget the temen-ni-gru in 3, which was raised in the middle of the city dante's based in, again, killing or disrupting millions of lives. and while vergil didn't personally kill all those people, his actions lead to their deaths.
@@Yal_Rathol yeah his actions led to their deaths aka he killed them
All over a misunderstanding caused by a VERY big leap in logic on his part thinking that because his mom didn't go to look for him, she never intended to and only cared for Dante.
Dante+Nero are the only ones who could possibly hold him accountable for those actions, so....
@@canine8284 yes and?
We not gonna talk about how their swords hitting were timed with the beat at 32:46
So this is how Vergil commits tax evasion, by going into hell and fighting his brother
I just finished Devil May Cry 4 recently (hella played this series out of order. 3, 5, 1, 2, 4 but not DmC yet.) it would be interesting if Credo returned.
3:08 Holy shit that hitbox detection
Finished DMC5 today. Now time to watch max's reaction
This guy looks like he definitely enjoyed what he paid for
I just hate seeing how every youtuber just play the easiet difficulty in dmc 5 where Vergil is so weak, not even in hp but in his limited and slowed movements
all right, at least here does not give up so easily by using like 6 old orbs in one fight, i give him that one
He played on devil hunter, which is the hardest difficulty you can do on a first playthrough
Vergil's attacks just so slow, so he can be even weaker...@@Pigmachine2000
What does Nero say before Vergil leaves him alone again? Dadwait!
I'm all for a game centered around Nero.
I love Nero so much.
@Nico: Will you shut up?!
@Dante: Dante, you son of a bitch!
@Vergil: FUCK YOU!
@Kyrie: //soft kitten noises// ilu :)
