Before watching: I'm gonna say this thing will probably do surprisingly well. It's FWD, so it'll handle well in low-traction situations, and Toyota consistently makes surprisingly stronk little cars so I highly doubt it's going to just break.
@Robert Campbell - Would be fun to see an AWD or RWD Corolla. Toyota would never do it though, but we can dream. At least we still have the old Corollas, Starlets, Celicas and the like to scratch that cheap-and-cheerful RWD Toyota itch.
This jives with my experience driving a Corolla in snow... As long as you are moving, you'll be fine... Both times I have gotten my Corolla stuck in snow, I was going uphill, and someone forced me to stop. Both times I got myself free. Once by sticking it to a guardrail and backing it down after traffic cleared... once by backing it down a hill on another occasion. The moral of the story is if you are driving a Corolla in snow, make sure you don't stop.
When I was a little younger and a little stupider (less than 10 years) I would go over frozen farm highways at like 80 mph on the straighter sections on studded tires in my dark blue 2004 Corolla (Cheap Edition). And I mean the highways where it's been plowed and you're lucky to get gravel sometimes, so the snowplows just turn the surface into an ice sheet. No ABS, no cruise control, manual transmission. Obviously you slow down on the tight corners. That car is fun as hell. The only time I've ever slid off the road was going 35 mph or lower in low vis conditions, and even then I got lucky and somehow managed to thread the needle between a power pole and a tree when I tried to stop for the stop sign at a "T" intersection. I've been fortunate that the car has never been in a serious collision, and while yes I would like a dream car I still don't mind driving this one. I can laugh at stupid prius drivers while I get just as good a mileage in this vehicle, and have even more fun driving it because of the transmission. Yes, it can rally IMO.

keep doing this series , it's amazing
I deliver pizza in a semi rural area with a lot of dirt roads... I'm in an 08 Corolla ce. It definitely rallys well. I get calls about it every so often.
As soon as I saw the title I clicked on the video I love Toyotas and I also have the same Corolla but mine is the XRS model with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission and it's modified I'd love to do a Rwd conversion and a 2JZ swap
Gravecb7 Accord I pretty much have the same one he used to rally but the S version. Slow but love it. JDM-ing it already. I have LED Altis tail lights installed which makes it a bit more unique in the seas of corolla out there. This vid put a smile on my face.
Rwd convert ok
2JZ.... how will that engine fit in a Corolla lmao.
But yes these are epic fun to drive when you push them to their limits.
I got an 09 corolla just like this and it does good on dirt roads and mud holes. I have a/t tires on mine. And hes right about the car going where you point it. I fucking love it
i've had an '09 corolla for a few years now and i've been itching to take it out to a course. you can only do so much on the road while still staying relatively safe
greatest channel on youtube rn
I have an 01 Corolla and its really fun to drive on the twisty roads that we have in Puerto Rico. Yeah, it's not really fast but its so fun to drive like a maniac, lol.
The Toyota corolla was in the WRC in the late 90s
This is the kind of creative concept we all need
This is the best video so far. Mostly Wyatt talking about driving and a couple of action shots. Maybe have a drone with an aerial view on the difficult corners and go over what went well and what did not.
Good music, great content, amazing information. Thank you!
MY CAR!! im not even into rally but this was cool af to watch...!!
It's honestly funny to me how fast he's whipping the car around in the snow, and he has zero expression on his face when he's talking to us.
