- Here is the install of a friends K&N cold air intake on her Camaro RS with the 3.6L engine. It looks and sounds much better than the stock system and you can feel a little more power and throttle response so it is well worth a few dollars to add this to your car.

I just installed this on my 2016 V6, huge difference in power and throttle response MPG went up by 3 also
Did you have to do a tune after? I already switched out the exhaust with an axle back MRT V2, which didn't require a tune. But I'm about to buy the CAI, and didn't know if a tune needed to happen.
@@xojeany13 the car adjusted to the CAI so no tune needed, highly recommend it! The whistle at 3-4K RPMs is sweet

K&N is absolutely not underrated. They're overrated and barely filter! People have tested intakes and K&N filters do not do well in actually filtering out particulates that could damage your engine.

Can someone explain to me what a sound tube does? I know it kinda sounds obvious but like would it sound cooler to take it off?
I took it off my mustang as well. All it is is a tube from the air intake to the cabin of the car. Supposed to give more of an engine sound inside the car when driving. Imo it just looks like a hot mess under there and I noticed no difference when taking if off

Did you get the intake error code? "Check Air Filter"? I helped my buddy install his just like this, and he is getting a "Check Air Filter" code, car runs fine but the light in annoying.
This is my friends car but they never said anything about light on. Did it pop up right away?
@@CanadianCruisin It came up a few days after, I just found a video for the same year malibu and I don't think it's an error code, I think it is a maintenance code and it can be cleared. If it works i'll let you know just incase someone else asks. I appreciate you responding!

I'd recommend it. Not sure what kind of power you gain with no tune but it looks and sounds awesome.

Did the car get any increase in HP?
This isn't my car so I'm not sure how it felt before and after. No tune required for this intake so the gains would be pretty small.
So i installed the same intake, but my car, for some reason it is running rich. Is there a way i can switch that?

Modern Mustang in black looks so good but in white looks meh. Modern Camaro in black looks meh but in white looks okay. Modern Camaro in grey looks amazing!

Do you have to reset the battery some people say to do that ?
Some disconnect the battery just for safety reasons but it shouldn't effect anything if you don't.

@@zacht1687 it should as long as its the 3.6L engine. They have one for each model and engine size. As long as its under the "vehicle application" list it will work
