Thank you! I’ve been wondering what those buttonhole settings on certain vintage machines meant. Essentially it’s doing the needle width position accurately to produce a far more uniform result - that’s very clever! It’s a shame we don’t get vintage Kenmores in Australia - I assume our using 240V meant no one brought them out here favouring the British and European brands, and Kenmores seemed to make the most dependable zigzag machines. Mine is same machine but the cloth doesn’t move what is problem
