- MODELLING with Cerebral Palsy is all part of one girl’s mission to “change the way the world views disability.” Samantha Norgart was diagnosed with Hypotonic Cerebral Palsy at the age of one, which causes stiff muscles and muscle spasms, and prevented her from speaking properly until the age of 21. But even with this debilitating condition, the determined Oregon City-native has begun a modelling career, using the photos on social media to spread a message of positivity and inclusivity. The 22-year-old, known online as ‘@wheelchairblondie’, told Barcroft Studios: “Most people assume because I’m in a wheelchair my mind doesn’t work. But it does."

Iam disabled myself I have a intellectual disability formally known as MMR Mild mentality retardation. Iam 31. I attend a program called human first a program with disabled adults who does activities. My dream is to be a actress/ writer.

We must bear in mind the immense privilege she has by being naturally very slim & physically attractive, also they seem quite well-off financially.
I'd love to see a story about an ugly, financially poor disabled woman struggling to achieve her dreams, without a supportive family helping her...yet still remaining positive despite massive hurdles and poor treatment by society. But no one else does, that's for sure.

I hate the fact that being in a wheelchair makes some people think that you can't be capable of thinking/ speaking for yourself. I have had people ask my fiance what I want, he's ignored them, I answer, and they'll still look at him. I probably could school them up and down, considering I went to technical academy's most of my school days, even took college courses in middle school on Saturday's for the STEM program. What you think you see (and truthfully way you know) about disability way less than half of the truth. Disability doesn't have a look, nor does intelligence. People are people. And you being ignorant about it doesn't excuse any behavior that belittles another person, because, disabled or not, being a d**k is something you can help. We didn't ask for our disability. We just have to live with it.
Jane Justice Doe - I was in a wheelchair after surgery on my leg and the way some people treated me shocked me! Most thought I wasn’t mentally capable and a few were just downright rude assholes to me

I'm very much unapologetically myself, and get lots of hatred for it (though I didn't back home in my country of birth, but def do now in the UK). I seem to offend everyone, just being my true self. Its very frustrating!

Even if she was half naked it doesn't mean she's working in the sex industry or deserves to be treated like less of a human being If she did I treat everyone with respect and kindness I suggest you do the same.
