I love you both! Thank you for this. I grew up with a sister who was in a wheelchair her whole life and communicated in the exact same way! We never treated her any different than the rest of my siblings…she loved it! It gave a feeling of belonging. My parents were amazing with her! You two are amazing! Thank you both!❤️

This warms my heart, I know one that has this and he was looked upon as a "freak" just because he couldn't communicate as well as others. Be it's body disability or mental, the condition shouldn't be what defines you as a person. They are people too with hopes and dreams, and with the right push and help from family and friends they can achieve as anyone else.

Wow watching this video has made me think about how happy she is despite her condition but what people dont see is what I see her soul is the happiest and filled with life to live and here alot of us are healthy we have family in good health we can sing run talk do everything and yet we feel like dying or being depressed etc we should take notes from this young woman and rejoice and be thankful we have our family and ourselves perfectly healthy and he happy and do everything we can and do it

One of the things people watching this video should think about is the part where Hanna shows what she does when total strangers want to pray for her in the street. That's not a joke. It really happens. It is not ok. It is incredibly patronizing and intrusive. I've had a waiter ask my dining companion, who I didn't even really know, what I would like to eat. I was sitting right there. Something like that happens to me at least once a decade. I get stared at so often, I don't even notice it anymore, but my wife does.
It's great that these sisters have a great relationship and success on their channel, but please use this as an opportunity to think about your own thoughts and attitudes about disabled people. Do you think of us as "less than," "special," or "heroic"? Please don't. We're human beings just like you. Instead, think about the societal barriers we face, and work on those. Things like improving access for disabled people where you live, work, and shop. And helping to make sure we can access the same locations, rights, and services you can.
Then this video and others like it will have really made a difference.

@@allisoncastle Thank you. For staring, no. Because usually I don't even see it. But I'm often so shocked when these things happen I don't say anything. Or if I do get angry and say something then I end up feeling bad about it. I've had people try and lift me up without asking while climbing the stairs of buses on my crutches, had a total stranger come up from behind me on the street, put her hand on my shoulder, and her face right next to mine, to ask if I needed help. (It was so intimate and lacking in personal space I initially thought it was someone I knew.), had a woman lean over the back of me to reach an item in a shop, had a guy lean over the back of me in the grocery store for a candy bar and then cough and sneeze on my back, had a patient pass a vial of urine over my head while filling out a form at the counter in the doctor's office, had a customer pass steaming hot plates of food over my head while being served at an ice cream counter, had a swimming pool salesman ignore my questions and my gaze and answer my friend who was standing behind my wheelchair even though I and my friend explained repeatedly that my wife and I were the ones buying the pool. My friend ended up walking out in disgust. I'm often dumbfounded when people do these things, although I did tear into the guy at the doctor's office. He got angry and tried to act like it was no big deal.

@@allisoncastle Yeah.👍 I think my experiences are pretty typical for disabled people. I've heard a lot worse from disabled friends on social media. You wouldn't believe it if I told you.
Most abled/non disabled people have no idea.
Living with disabilities is as normal as it gets. I love the love I see...
When I worked in DIDDS it was the best time of my life surrounded by my clients that had much more pure souls than everyone else in the world.

Normalizing something that should be normal, as it is a way of life that many should learn about and from. Disabled people are so unique, kind, and pretty much always find a way to empower others through their difficult lives. No matter the challenge or obstacle, people can overcome it. I wish nothing more than respect for these people, as should everyone else.

How do you normalize something that's already normal? Not sure if they were subject to bullying but there's nothing wrong with living with disabilities.

You're being upset about those of us with disabilities complaining about language that implies that living with disabilities is "abnormal" shows that you actually know little about living with disabilities.

People with disabilities shouldn't be treated any different socially. Did they ask to be born like that? Of course not. They are people just like the rest of us. I love that they are doing this.
God I wish I could have that much fun... My family disowned me and cut off all communication with me because I struggle with severe disability... Im going ok now... Without my family unfortunately they have my daughter who they a keeping from me... I haven't seen her in almost a year...
I am so sorry to hear that. We cannot choose our relatives… but often they are the worst people! Perhaps an attorney could help???
