Skyrim ٠ What Happens if you kill Elisif the Fair
💎 *Who was to be jarl after the death of Elisif? ------>* th-cam.com/video/6jpatoc4fJk/w-d-xo.html
So what happens??? You showed us you killing her but not the outcome which is why I’m here. Why didn’t you show what actually happens in a video titled that? This isn’t what happens this is it happening.
Erikur becomes Jarl. There’s cut dialogue from characters like Tullius and Falk about it.
Why kill her 🙄 marry her instead 👍😂
What is the ui mod that you're using ?
@@trollface7998 I actually got halfway through making a mod where you would trick Elisif and Ulfric into a political marriage to end the war in a tie, and would then have a Thalmor invasion fleet land on the northern shore. I couldn't get the final battle to work properly, however.
I can’t believe she got killed by the one person she trusted, some guy she just met seconds ago
It would be different if she knew you were the Dragonborn or a thane in solitude
she sees my dovahkins face almost everyday I can't bring myself to kill her anyhow I got the ebony mail, dragonborn answer to akatosh he is the father of all dovahs
Falk: “There’s an assassin about. Thank goodness you’re here, let me leave you alone with her.” Patted himself on the back, I bet.
@@ronstewart5945 Well, if you were Thane of Solitude, it would make sense.
She did trust Falk Firebeard, so she end up trusting the "bodyguard" he assigned to her.
notice how all the cut quests keep killing off "good guys" (Elisif, Balgruf) but give us no chances to deal with the real problems in skyrim... for example the Blackbriars and he Silverbloods
I hate Maven the most out of every character.
@@La0nna I kinda agree... But, I still prefer her over Erikur. She has some dignity, while Erikur is just a complete double-crossing scumbag and sellout. He's a pig, just listen how he acts towards Brelas during Diplomatic Immunity...
@Anglo I think it was cut from the game
@Anglo cut content, was supposed to be part of "The Whispering Door" and would have Balgruuf die at the hands of his own children...
@Anglo Quest that was removed from the game - actually, it was just a continuation of sorts for the whispering door quest. Basically, Balgruf's kid (the one to which Mephala speaks) goes nuta along with the rest of the kids, and they commit patricide. Balgruf is then replaced by Hrongar, who turns out to be a warmonger and tyrant.
Also, if you managed to calm Boethiah's Champion. He can be talked to and you'll find out that he was actually seeking redemption from being Boethiah's follower cause it's evil.
Danm, nice info I will try it
On the other hand, if you calm Yamarz and bring him back to his tribe, everyone will remark on him being dead, and how he deserved it for being so weak, even with him standing right in front of them and making casual conversation.
I did that calmed him down with a high level calm spell. I believe you can use voice of the emperor as well.
@@NoJusticeNoPeace The Orcs probably deign him as dead, simply for his dishonorable actions.
He may still be allowed to exist amongst the tribe, eating and living, but he definitely was being treated as a sign of what happens if you’re a weak, dishonorable, coward.
Probably would have helped if the guy took the damn armor off lmao
I've always felt the boethia quest was uncomplete. makes sense now
also brings a bit more depth to elisifs charakter
When you thought that quest felt unfinished, the mephala "whispering door" quest was on a whole another level of unfinished. You just get the ebony blade, and that's literally it.
@@elvenalonly Yeah, so many of the quests are unfinished. There's also threads of an anti-Thieves Guild quest/questline with Mjoll in Riften, there's the setup to quests that don't exist in Roriksted and an Orc stronghold, and the Forsworn quest where you ally with the king feels like it should lead somewhere as you otherwise go back to killing them.
Then there was meant to be a siege for each city (or maybe major city) in the Civil War. That might have been cut for other reasons, but it's a shame these didn't make it into the game, the Boethiah, Mephala and anti-Thieves Guild quests seemed like really interesting ideas.
@@antiochus87 they also should've made becoming a silver-hand a possible option. I personally disliked the companions, they're like thugs, honestly. I would love to continue the companions questlines as an enemy. You can't even upgrade a silver sword for god sake.
@@elvenalonly I agree completely, and I hate the Companion questline too.
There are videos on this, that the Silver Hand are the Companions who rejected the beast blood and went into exile. Imagine if you played as the Silver Hand and had the option to wipe out the Companions completely or restore them with the Silver Hand taking over. The Companions are just thugs, this could be a way to restore them to honor.
@@antiochus87 this is why "destroy the dark brotherhood" was one of my favorite quests. They literally kidnap you while you're sleeping and then want you to join them? lmao
When astrid asked to kill one of the 3 randos I was like: "how about I fireball you to death instead", and honestly I was expeting her to be an essential npc or something, I was so happy when she actually died (after almost one-shotting me with a power attack) and I got the destroy the dark brotherhood quest...
Classic Bethesda writing
"The Jarl heard there's an assassin out to get her, she and the guards are very paranoid"
"Maybe I, a total stranger, could walk around the palace escorted only by my own personal companion and then guard her alone"
"Yeah sounds good, I see no problem with this"
Probably why they cut it lmao. Or maybe you'd have to gain influence within the court with the quests that are in the game
This random stranger is a Dragon Killing Fucking War Machine.
@@Mcgoo500 but that it in the game, you can become a thane which would likely be the requirement.
Well if you're a Thane and considered as a good and trusted friend of Solitude.
The Quest test your betrayal skills so i think its ok.
Fun fact: it was a removed quest were you kill her and the thane become jarl of solitude
Ah thanks it wasn't said anywhere it was cut content so I was confused
It was Erikur I believe
I wish they had never cut this.. it makes so much more sense for the quest
@@The-O-N Erikur if you side with the Empire, Bryling with the Stormcloaks
@@fabriziodefrancesco7083 Great, I have a reason to join the Stormcloaks now. I can't stand Erikur or his horrible sister.
Would definitely prefer if Boethia just took over by impersonating Elsif
The high queens simulacrum 😏
That would make the ending a little awkward if she stuck around
It wouldn't make sense considering how Boethia's sphere is betrayal.
I would like if whenever you talk her her, she has normal elsif dialogue, but occasionally you'd hear boethia whisper to you
Canon lore bs aside, that would be dope
...That sounds like a _dangerous_ way to tell a power-hungry dragonborn 'goodbye'.
I liked Elisif. I would rather have the same quest, but the target is someone terrible, like Maven.
that's not how daedric princes work lmao, especially boethiah
@Burhan
Actually, there is ONE Daedric Prince who would touch Maven Black-Briar and that's Mephala, by way of the Dark Brotherhood. In fact, the book "Fire And Darkness: The Brotherhoods Of Death" credits The Night Mother as being Mephala: "The Night Mother, my dear friend, is Mephala. The Dark Brotherhood of the west, unfettered by the orders of the Tribunal, continue to worship Mephala. They may not call her by her name, but the daedra of murder, sex, and secrets is their leader still. And they did not, and still do not, to this day, forgive their brethren for casting her aside.”
If someone performed the Black Sacrament and called for Maven's death, The Night Mother would honour the contract.
@@MrJordwalk But is that book telling the truth?
Totally agree
@@fzzy5739 Azura?! Case and point. Maybe think before you mock (Top tip number one. Avoid sweeping statements. Top tip 2. Be nice ffs, it doesn't make them look stupid...quite the opposite)
Or even Sheogorath. Sure he can be evil, but he can be anything at all
"ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT!"
Another cut quest that I wish they had left in the game...
This ranks up beside the deleted Nazeem and Ahlam home and love triangle. Also, the possibility of becoming a Jarl sounds fun, too. The thought of the perks we could have gotten, really has me bummed that this was cut. Definitely a missed opportunity on Bethesda's part
I think they cut it as it breaks the civil war quest kind of. Way to many lines of dialog to change if someone other then Elisif is the Jarl of Solitude. Look at all the trouble it took to change quests and dialog just for having Whiterun's Jarl kicked out of Whiterun. Furthermore there are many more quests linked to Elisif that would not work well if she were dead, many more than involve most other NPC's in the game outside of the main questline to kill a sky lizard, and it would have taken years to program all the extra stuff to swap all that over for other NPC's to handle. I fully understand why they cut this just from the design view.
@@samuelplyler1511 plus that prick Erikur supposedly becomes jarl of solitude and the imperial candidate for high king
Imagine that encounter with Torygg in sovyngard after murdering Elisif…
@@samuelplyler1511 I honestly feel that it was cut, not to make the game play or story more fun and make more sense, or even to save time, but because they (Bethesda) want to save money. If they really cared about story or game play, we wouldn't have gotten the buggy mess we got, when the game first released. As for the Civil War being broken because of this, pretty much all the holds change jarls, depending on which faction wins, so that wouldn't be anything too big. With Elisif, she is the only Jarl who keeps her position, no matter who wins
@@samuelplyler1511 or they simply could have made bohetiha bidding only able to unlock after civil war, it wouldn't be the only dadric quest to do so

@@lordnexus6996 most of the quests are lame, because there’s not voice lines so it’s “all in this note” it ruins immersion and feels out of place. But the player homes and most of the armor sets are amazing. The cut content would have made the anniversary edition truly wonderful though.
@@Purriah yeah I hate the anniversary quests because of the letter thing.

@@ooftedanimal6909 my point is they already made these quests essentially, it would’ve been nice to have alternative choices to the ones that we already had and played thousands of times. By Ysmir this one's got the right of it!
No.
Erikur becomes Jarl if Elisif is killed.
I’m glad you made this video, because I would never ever assassinate Elisif. She was always my favorite female NPC in the game.
I've married her a few times (mods needed) because she's one of my favorites too. Also for my politically ambitious characters, marrying her makes my bid for High King stronger, especially after I kill Ulfric.
She's actually kind of annoying if you think about it. She's "Elisif the Fair" as in "fair maiden", a reference to beauty as opposed to a sense of moral fairness/justice. Torygg married her because she was hot, not because she had any real sense of what being a queen entails. This is made evident by her own decisions after assuming the throne following Torygg's death. Such as suggesting sending an entire regiment to Dragon Bridge to investigate the vague complaints of wolfskull cave. Or of having a grand parade through the streets of Solitude while there's a civil war going on and her own people are dying. She's not a bad person, she just makes bad leadership decisions. Fortunately Falk is able to talk her down some of the time. But that one quest when she sends you to place a war horn at a shrine of Talos. Imagine if word got out that the High Queen of Skyrim did that--the Thalmor would have a field day!
I don't truly dislike her though. She's just a stereotypical pretty, out-of-touch, rich girl who married her way to the top, has basically no clue what she's doing, and relies entirely on others. Not like Siddgeir of Falkreath who is openly condescending, lazy, corrupt, and knowingly abuses his position. Elisif just doesn't know any better.
@@adamb89 See, I kind of look at her handling of the position of Jarl as a positive. She wasn't meant to rule, Torygg was. She never expected to rule, but now that she does, she's doing the best she can, and she does what a wise leader does and listens to counsel. She doesn't assume she knows best, so she is willing to listen to her advisors.
Her initial reaction to the dragon bridge issue is definitely too hasty, but when Falk advises otherwise, she tempers her response. She also seems to get along with Tullius and probably gets advice from him too. Tullius follows the same principle by keeping Legate Rikke as his right hand to help him understand Nord culture. He uses that to inform his decisions, showing strong leadership from him, meaning Elisif is wise to consult with him as well.
@@adamb89 you are right. Also, when she's at the Thalmor party, she's easily impressed with the Thalmor's stuffs and admires them instead.
Her leadership depends on Falk and General Tullius.
Better than Serena, or Mjoll?
"She wishes you a good day, ans please call again later." Is this guy's only job to be an answering machine?
Not only that cut quest has lots of depth, but at the same time is dumb.
The assassin, a complete stranger, can convince Falk that they'll act as Elsif's bodyguard, and she also falls for it.
It makes more sense if you do the missions for falk and elsif. Concerning potama and delivering the horn to the talos shrine. By that point you are considered a very good friend of the people of solitude so it would at that point make sense for them to blindly trust you. Otherwise then your right it would be dumb but I think the mission is supposed to be after you have done those missions.
Yeah, maybe. Either Tim has completed Potema quest line before on that save, or Falk and Elsif are really dumb.
Pretty sure he won't allow it unless you've already done some quests for them and Falk is already friendly to you.
Bringing a new meaning to “SLAAAY QWEEEN”
We could fulfill another game with skyrim deleted content
I like Elisif. If there was such a quest in the game, I would not complete it. It's a pity that you can't beat Boethiah herself.
I agree. I already rarely do Boethiah's quest because most of my Dragonborns aren't the type to betray their own followers, and they DEFINITELY wouldn't be on board with murdering poor Elisif. She may not have a lot of political savvy, but she's kind, generous, poised, and humble enough to accept advice from people more knowledgeable than her. Erikur, meanwhile, just cares about keeping his pockets heavy and his dick wet.
"been up to the blue palace ? it's a sight to see. even if it is filled with fops..." - he says, whilst standing in the blue palace, in earshot of the jarl

This is Skyrim.
Of course you just walk out whistling "Ragnar The Red".
What do you expect?
Who would stop the dragonborn? The guards? lol
Obviously you put her clothes on and leave while pretending to be her.
Perhaps the most frustrating thing about Skyrim atm, is that it has never been updated to allow more player options and outcomes like Fallout has.
The Dragonborn should have more options besides a "civil war" in which you're only part of the battle against 2 major holds out of 4 possible ones. And also have the option to end the game when certain questlines are completed for some cinematic cutscenes, along with alternatives to those questlines since there's been things sprinkled out implicating potential destruction of Thieves' Guild, curing all the companions of lycanthropy (Farkas and Vilkas can be cured if you got extra heads, Aela never considers the option just like Valerica.), and even a war against the Thalmor, which in all honesty should be its own DLC, since you see them in nearly every new addition to the game as a sort of cameo.
I'd honestly like to see all the cut content come back as real content. So many opportunities left out...

Wow! That’s a cool quest.
The reason this quest might have been removed is how it could fit into the story. I mean you gain access to Boethiah's quest at a high level so just leveling would get you this quest. But maybe there were plans to make Boethiah's quest become available after the war quest or maybe completing the Potema quest fully.

It was cut content reactivated with a mod. Likely would've been more stuff, or potentially would've got the armor after killing her instead if they did not cut it? Who knows. Lol
I heard a rumor once that this part of the quest was originally conceived as a side quest for the Dark Brotherhood, and supposedly, Erikur was the one who wanted her dead. That may explain the lack of further reward, and the hints that Erikur had a hand to play despite being uninvolved. (Incidentally, it would've been clever foreshadowing for Motierre's theorized motive of wanting the Emporer dead so that he could take his place)
Killing Elisif is its own reward
You get the satisfaction of killing an incompetent leader.
Guards when dragonborn kills elisif:

Guards when you investigate forsworns: angery
You just Three Stooges the Champion of Boethiah to death with old "You've got ketchup on your shirt" and flicked him in the nose with your blade, causing him to die of embarrassment and nose hemorrhaging, in the first five seconds of the video. Satisfied, I didn't need to watch the rest, liked the video, and moved on.
it was way better than my playthrough, summing it up:
1) I show up
2) champion becomes hostile
3) I summon 2 dremora lords
4) champion and dremora lords die to my fire ball spamming
5) :D
This really adds more fuel to my theory that either Boethia or Mephala pulled strings to get Ulfric to kill Torygg either knowing or not. It seems that Boethia has something against Solitude so it may have been her. May she whispered into Ulfrics ear at high hrothgar and he assumed it to Kynareth or Talos?
Worst part of Skyrim is, wanting to do everything, try every quest but also not wanting to be a dick at the same time.
You miss so much things if you try to be nice. But if you want to see something, there is no roleplay. What a pain :D
I love how trusting they are
first person who walks in can be my bodyguard
Honestly... would have enjoyed if the quest had an "optional" kill choice as well. This is the prince of betrayal, and what is not the purest loyalty but killing a different, high in importance character in an act of both betrayal and following orders. ./COUGH maven, delphine, any bloody head of something
But that would require Boethiah have a similar stance to Hircine when you flip the hunt.
A lot of these cut quests are interesting. You were allowed at one point to kill several Jarls for quests. Balgruuf was going to die at the end of Mephala's Ebony Blade quest, Elisif was going to be killed for the Ebony Mail. It's also implied that the civil war would've ended with killing the jarls too. Though I cannot prove that was the intended effect, all I know that you were at some point siege all the major cities.
With modders like the ones that make stuff for the elder scrolls games I’m sure ES6 is being created in the Minecraft engine
Stormcloak win feels like the natural canon ending. Empire win is literally the fan service for the nostalgic crowd from the previous games. Not saying one is morally or consequentially better just assuming which ending is more lore friendly and realistic progression towards the next game.
no if you read anything in skyrim youd know imperials are not only cannon but the best ending possiable, Ulfric was captured by the AD and was let go on purpose to start a war, its sven documentes that the entire war is funded by the AD and even general tullius knoes this when you try and kill him he says "this is what they want" and hes right, Ulfrics a puppet and so are you.
no if you read literally ANY lore youd know ones clearly better then the other, ones run by the Aldmeri Dominion, racist, a murderer of there own people and a complete stratigical joke... the others the imperial army and general tullius 😂
@@cyber1ifeconnor its Skyrim. Default guy is a nord. As a nord why would he side with Empire?
The cause itself is righteous but after awhile you learn siding with the storm cloaks is what the dominion wants, if they were smart they would work with the empire and keep their worship of talos private
@@marcomongke3116 What kind of nonsense logic is that? Someone being a nord doesn't automatically mean they'd be sympathetic to Ulfric's cause. Legate Rikke is a nord. Legate Hrollod is a nord. Legate Skulnar is a nord. Hadvar is a nord. There are many imperial soldiers who are nords, so your flimsy argument there falls flat on it's face.
Moreover, there is no confirmed canon race for the Dragonborn. Maybe we'll see in Elder Scrolls 6, but for now? Nada. Using a gameplay default to support your argument is just plain foolish, not just flimsy.
Tl;dr: Learn how to make better arguments.
Boethiah meddling in Skyrim's political affairs is scary in itself.
A dual-casted Pacify spell with high illusion/perks (or Voice of the Emporer) calms down the Champion of Boethiah enough that you can engage him in a proper conversation.
Was this added in the Anniversary Edition? Because I never got this quest after killing The Champion of Boethiah, just the Ebony Mail.
Its a mod reactivating cut content
I've been playing Skyrim since it's release and I didn't even know of this quest!
It is good that this was cut from game...it looks like a stupid writing quest....if u got the ebony mail then why u have to kill elisif.....u will get the mail and freely go here and there without killing elisif.....
@@ancapknight572 i think this is not what u think.....because this is not intact piece or unused piece......other champion is already using this mail, so it is already enchanted....if it is not enchanted then why other champion will use it, he can put off the armor....so both way there remain a quest plot hole....
@@dbrpg_youtube the answer to that is coding. The game won’t let you use the perks of the armor until you do the task.
@@pawnshop5745 that is also messed up...because then why the champion will use it....so i assume the armor is enchanted for the champion not for mine untill i kill elislf but after i take it the armor from champion which is already enchanted i will give it to my follower....i will not use it because if i put it, it will loose enchanment....so coding is huge.....because there are so many follower id.
@@dbrpg_youtube maybe boethiah herself controls it. We have to prove we are truly worthy of its power. It’s also why the previous champion has it working for him. She doesn’t like making things easy so if we can’t prove we are an unstoppable force then we are worthless in her eyes.
How could you kill such a lovely and sweet charakter?
Im serious, i could never do that.
Never knew this quest existed
It technically doesn't. It's cut content, this is using a mod to activate it.
@@andrewmorrison7074 what mod?
such a cool idea for a quest, probably difficult to implement though; which is why it was cut.
True. They probably cut it because of how clumsy it reads. What you just watched is so absurd it didnt even make it into an elder scrolls game.
So whats the benefit of doing this quest except for the armor you get from the previous champion
It was cut content. There may or may have not been addition stuff to do with this quest originally planned. This is using a mod to activate remnant dialogue.
The satisfaction of getting rid of an incompetent leader, perhaps.
"You have done well, my champion. I have inscribed your name on the Tablet of Absolute Blackness."
"I can't see it."
Lmao why is her dying sound so funny
4:55 the door does not take kindly to Falk's incessant prodding
If only they actually added new quests in one of the 4957 releases of the game
The way Skyrim quests and dialogues are written hint that Dragonborn would become a Voldemort like character seeking power and obeying daedric princes.
Most questlines such as thieves guild and the dragonborn dlc along with house of horrors and boethiah's sacrifice have absolutely no way of turning things around if you don't want to be their b*tches in the vanilla version of the game (and not to forget paarthurnax tragedy)
It would make more sense if the armor was cursed or something until you kill elisif otherwise what’s stopping you from just taking the armor and not killing her?
Damn man, I've played skyrim since 2016, and I never thought I would be able to kill her. Thanks you mate!
You can't, it's cut content, you'll need mods
i first found out about this when i was playing with console commands
if you enter the code for this quest
jarl elisif actually appear in front of you & say her dialogue instead of her warrior
I guess you can say, that simply isn’t “fair”
Ten years and I didn't know this was a thing.
Because it's not, it's a cut quest that is added back in by mods.
Imagine if Sheogorath took over Elisifs body, could make things verrrry interesting to say the least!😆😆😆
Or even better,Molag Bol!😆😆😆
4:55 What is Elisif saying here, when there's supposed to be a sound effect of the door unlocking? I swear I had Ulfric say that to me once, during the Helgen sequence. I got off the cart and for some reason none of the NPCs would move or say their lines, then Ulfric said that "stop" line or whatever and my game crashed.
Yeah, this wouldn't make sense as a boethia quest, maphala is the one who's all about the lying and deciet shennanigans, should've been a quest related to here. Sucks that Maphala's quest is literally "talk to kid, steal key, kill friends with big new sword". It's terrible.
The reason the quest was cut short was because it originally involved Balgruuf's kid becoming so twisted from Mephala's influence that he murdered his own father.
Meredith be taking red lyrium seriously
You know, I'm honestly going to say I'm happy this quest is absent, especially since the bit you could alternatively marryvElisif is, too. There is a whole quest lone to assassinate the Emperor. This mission could have seen Jarl Elisif killed. Another cut quest did the same for Balgruuf; both Imperial supporters. As one of I'm guessing six Imperial path supporters among the fanbase, I really wonder why the distribution was so lopsided? There were definitely Imperial factioners I wanted to kill; Maven and Erukir would have been nice, but I don't get to do the same to the obvious Stormcloak simps of the game, apart from Ulfrick, and that's too bad. Oh well.
Yeah it’s nice that erikur becomes unessential after his relevant quests
I go the Imperial side because of the obvious reasons of standing against the thalmor, but also because Ulfric makes me uneasy. I don't exactly love the whole under the empire's thumb thing but I consider it a current necessity and it feels like you could do a lot worse than the characters the imperial side has in charge.
@@bpat9968 wait you can kill that guy?
@@pawnshop5745 yeah once u rebuild the thieves guild and do the thalmor embassy quest u can kill him, he’s tied in with the thieves guild side story that people don’t tend to do but once that’s done he’s free game
@@bpat9968 but then won’t that ruin the guilds influence in solitude?
4:00 I like how they don't question this at all....like, random stranger is gonna be her bodyguard when she suspects she has an assassin out to get her...like, um?
4:55 did she say "stop"? Or kinda sounds like "stob".
Is this cut content?

I have never seen this before
it's removed
The fact that you can’t clean up Riften and wipe out the thieves guild is really dissatisfying.
I never got this quest!
It was removed from the game
We needed this to not be left on the cutting room floor
There is a mod called "cutting room floor" which might have this re-added to it.
I could never, I like her, she's a good high queen
she isn't the high Queen she is just the jarl of solitude, high Kings are elected she is just the secondary to her husband here in this case
The part she said at the end is something I can get behind
The only thing I hate is that general tulius doesn't become jarl. It's fitting for him
Not really, he works as a general for the empire and he was tasked to deal with the Stormcloak Rebellion. Maybe he does eventually, but someone more close to home with Solitude should have the mantle.
He’s a general, not a politician.
Bro has the entire imperial legion at his disposal, but decides random guy is cool to guard the future High Queen
Can you choose to defy boethiah and get some reward from elisif instead or do you have to kill her?
It's cut content, so what you see is what is left in the game (as far as unused scripts and dialog).
I've been instructed to tell all vegetables that lady elsif isn't feeling well
Ebony mail is the best looking armor in the game
0:03 He knew it
Yeah he knew it!
