I live in Germany, but many of these places I have never visited, so I have some inspiration for my next holiday. And to all the know-it-alls here in the comment section: This collection is subjective, of course there are many other nice towns unmentioned here. If you feel, your favourite town is underrepresented, you are free to make your own video about it.
    Little technical issue: Just lower the music a bit during your commentary. Otherwise very well done: The beauty of mein Vaterland is more than sufficiently displayed.

      Northern and Western towns were often bombed during the 2nd WW and then rebuilt in a very different style. Often 50 - 90% destroyed. Only some towns were spared. But even these are heavily modified. Görlitz is different. It was part of the GDR, never hit by any bomb and very poor for a pretty long time. There was no heavy modification here. If you compare it with Hannover, Magdeburg, Essen, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Bochum, Mannheim, Köln, Kassel, Dresden and so on you will see the difference.

    How did Freiburg end up in „Northern Germany“? You can‘t really get much more Southern than that. Indeed it‘s a very nice place, but maybe you should add it to your first video? I would mess up people‘s planning. I was a little disappointed by Görlitz, preferring Dresden and the Elb area.

    • @narchia161
      @narchia161 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Two things:
      1) Dresden is more a city than a town as it is the capital of Saxony with about 560,000 inhabitants.
      2) Neither Dresden nor Görlitz are located in northern Germany.
