I'm English and I would almost have to agree, but my trip through all the Austrian cities, towns and villages puts Germany's neighbour at the top of the list. I haven't been to Switzerland but that also looks stunning. Germanic people can be annoying and brutish but their classical music and architecture is the most beautiful in the world. .

I've been to Europe several times and each time we visit the main cities in the given country (next month we're going to Budapest, Vienna, and Prague, for example). But this makes me want to visit these charming little towns.
Well, Hallstatt is 4 hours from Vienna, 2 hours more you are in Kitzbühel and another 2 hours to Mittenwald. But the choice of places is just random, you can find the same pitoresque places on the edge of vienna.
Sintra, Portugal is full of mystical ruins and a magical road leading up to the Palace. Quinta da Regaleira was used for Templar Initiates and has a tiny Church on the grounds with an Illuminati eye. The whole town is mysterious and romantic. Absolutely love going back there, whenever I can.
From the top of my head, I can name at least 4 cities/villages who I think are more beautiful or gorgeous than a couple of those places (Berchtesgaden, Trogir, Amalfi Coast, Bassano del Grappa), but of course taste is subjective. I would have called that video 15 gorgeous places in Europe, but I guess the video creator gets more views with a title like that...

Oh my gosh, word for word I agree. I go to France (from Australia) regularly to see family in Narbonne, every time I go there I go to Carcassonne. Every time. I’m drawn there. As I write this I can feel the sun on my face as I walk across the bridge (from the enclosed village) to the castle. I’m properly obsessed with Carcassonne 😍😍😍
This was such a fantastic tour. I found myself smiling the whole time. I tried picking a favourite but its impossible. I have been to Holland and Belgium and it really feels like your going back into time. These little villages are filled with feelings of magic and wonderment. You can't help but feel like there is a dragon always guarding the little town.......Great video, great narrative. I think this is the best one you have done so far, in my opinion. Really loved it. I left America 33 years ago for Switzerland, and yes, it`s a really nice place. For me it is endless here, always getting around quickly and totally in love. I know Germany well, my wife is German, and she is also in love with it here.

I thought some of those mediaeval towns in Italy would get a mention, so old but amazing also a few more in France they all took my breath away. When you see such ancient architecture going right up onto the mountains is just outstanding.
Was lucky enough to go to two of these places on my first two trips to Europe from the US in 2019: Positano and Ghent! Still two of the most beautiful places I've been in my life! Loved everywhere I went in Germany, too! Can't wait to go back!

I had been living in Europe for two years before 2010 but I never found a chance to visit these towns. However, I visited some of most beautiful places in Germany especially Strarsund and Grieswald around area. There is a very beautiful island newly connected by a bridge from Stralsund having a palace on top of the mountain we hiked there. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited in my life.
And as usual Romania is underrated, somebody didn't hear of a medieval town called Sighișoara. There are others beautiful towns there but this one is the most visited.
Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance- wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life..

Most cities, towns and even villages in Europe are 700-800 years old or more and have some monuments. This video is just a short snippet. You don't have to go to well-known cities, because everywhere you breathe history.
There are wonderful places that can take you back in time in a special ways but are not fairytale locations. For example, the Perigord region of France is a dark, moist, truffle centric part of France with cave paintings and beautiful villages. My favorite is Sarlot which has a particularly medieval feeling. Then there is the cluster of small walled towns in Tuscany and Perugia which must be seen. I was once in Sienna for work and found myself in an underground tunnel that was used for offices. These town are full of surprises and the best food on the planet. Other surprises are the islands off the coast of the former Yugoslavia. These islands are beautiful with old buildings that are ready for a fabulous artist to paint them in the colors of the Mediterranean. Oh, I love these places.
Nice, but what a weird selection of fairy tale European towns. The only one that might be included in a top15 is Sintra. I can name at least 200 better alternatives. Why Gent and not Venice, Strassburg or Edinburgh? If this was meant for small towns, not big cities, then Gent (260.000 inhabitants) should not be on this list at all. There are zillions of big cities far more fairytale than Gent. Brugge been one of them in Belgium. There are at least 250 small villages in Europa more interesting than Giethoorn. In France there are also many like Colmar As for Germany, towns like Cochem -Bernkastel Kues-Goslar-Wernigerode-Quedliburg-Trier- Monschau and Fussen/Schwangau ,including Neuschwanstein, the white castle at the end of this film, are much better options. Spain-Poland-Norway-Kroatia-Romania-Bulgaria also have a lot to offer. Must admit it is difficult to make the right choices, but if you only know a limited number of European countries and not very well, then you should have left the MOST out of, 15 Most Gorgeous European Fairytale Towns.

Why Gent and not Venice, Strassburg or Edinburgh? If this was meant for small towns, not big cities, then Gent (260.000 inhabitants) should not be on this list at all. There are zillions of big cities far more fairytale than Gent. Brugge been one of them in Belgium.
There are at least 250 small villages in Europa more interesting than Giethoorn.
In France there are also many like Colmar
As for Germany, towns like Cochem -Bernkastel Kues-Goslar-Wernigerode-Quedliburg-Trier- Monschau and Fussen/Schwangau ,including Neuschwanstein, the white castle at the end of this film, are much better options.
Spain-Poland-Norway-Kroatia-Romania-Bulgaria also have a lot to offer.
Must admit it is difficult to make the right choices, but if you only know a limited number of European countries and not very well, then you should have left the MOST out of, 15 Most Gorgeous European Fairytale Towns.
No place will look more fairytale than old town Prague and Mont Saint Michel imo
