When it started I thought the block was going to be cut into slices to make flat pieces like placemats or wall hangings. This bowl is one of the nicest things I’ve seen in wood and resin, a real beauty.
This is seriously the sweetest message I’ve heard from a TH-camr and quite frankly, from ANYONE for seasons greeting and regarding the holiday season in general. I live here stateside (OR) and ALL of my family is back home in the islands (CNMI) and Japan so traveling is 1. Expensive and 2. Ill-advised given the obvious pandemic outside. I haven’t seen them in over 6 years now so it’s been really tough. But I’m also incredibly emotional just thinking about all the people out here (and everywhere really) who still have it worse off than me… so thank you for caring about other people. I don’t know if you realize how important, meaningful, and impactful your well wishes are ❤️🥺 from the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring about others.
Being retired military and having been deployed during the holidays, I know first hand the mental toll this time of year has on people. I've lost some very good friends to depression. I even lost a good friend because I waited to long to reach out to him. I feel guilt as I think if I would have just reached out it would have been different. It was a hard lesson to learn, but it made me decide that I'm never to busy for people. "Someone once told me your not to busy. The thing you say you can't do just isn't a priority." People should always be a priority. So I changed my mind set. If someone I know calls, I stop what I am doing and pick up the phone. If I haven't heard from a friend on a while I reach out. If I notice a subscriber hasn't commented on a video, I try to contact them. Thank you for commenting and sharing your kind words. I really appreciate it.

I really love your videos, mainly because they show that not all the time the results are perfect, sometimes things happen and it's ok, all could be fixed. Thank you!!
Heating up the resin comes with it's own set of problems. I've done it before and it worked okay. The issue comes later as you rewarm the resin and cool it again. It causes conidiation and can cause issues. But the real issue here is my resin was in the resin pump. I have a heater for it, but after a day it went out lol.
First, beautiful bowl! You should have shot the bowl from above when on the turntable. I think that would have been a cool shot. Looking forward to new projects in 2022. I gave a friend a gift this Christmas that really cheered her up. So I am glad you mentioned reaching out to others that may need some encouragement this holiday season.
Thanks Charlene, I went to do just that and I knocked the bowl and the turn table to the ground. It broke my turn table. Instead of not uploading the Christmas video I went with it.
Luv it ! If you were to put 4-6 little 1/2 inch tall “feet” on it you could then fit those little copper wire bottle lights underneath to under light it as a centerpiece.

Try putting your resin in a warm water bath prior to pouring. It will lower the viscosity and help reduce bubbles.
