To all those people complaining about it beinng a "copy": It's certain type of coaster, built by a certain company that theme parks all over the world purchased. That means chinese people don't have to fly to America to ride SheiKra and americans don't need to fly to China to ride the coaster in the video. Why y'all upset?

dive coasters seem to attract the most "this is just a copy of ___" type comments because people think every park that gets a dive coaster just wants publicity from getting the hot new gimmick
The little girl that shows up in these videos will have some sick credits to her name when she's older, and most people her age will only hope to obtain such credits themselves. These are all super epic!
This ride is very smooth, look at the tracks! And listen the way this roller coaster rides, end it looks like everyone’s having a good time, this ride is very thrilling but yet it’s smooth and comfortable, and that’s what it should be

Well let's remember, it's still a B&M Dive Machine. It's the same company so they have the right to make the same coaster again if another park wants them to. They're only copying themselves.

@appletonlad14 A dive machine or dive coaster is a roller coaster made by B&M that is know to stall before plummeting down a vertical drop. Oblivion was the first of its kind.

@FirstMrTornado SheiKra was the first B&M dive coaster in the US (I think). The first one ever was, I believe, Oblivion at Alton Towers in the UK.

I think that after B&M built Sheikra, other parks decided to have the same coaster. Griffon is the same thing as Sheikra but mirrored because Busch Gardens thought that it would be a cool concept to have twin coasters. So, all of the B&M Dive Coasters are legitimate carbon copies of Sheikra.
I operate a B&M coaster, and have a very detailed knowledge of how coaster companies work. And if you actually read the comments, there was nothing said about copying, simply referencing. Have a great day.

Well, they have a little bit that you sit on, a back (so you sit upright), and a U shaped restraint that come over your shoulder, the seats are in 3 rows of 10 (i think) and yea, glad I could not be of any use to you at all! X )

Every DANIEL COUNTS Shiekra is a proven design and people like it. It costs less than using an original design because it takes less time and money for R&D, or Research and Development.

If they have magnetic brakes then why do they still need friction brakes
Niazkilam 98 Magnetic brakes are great at slowing things down, but they cannot stop a ride fully.
At points where the ride must be brought to a complete stop (usually as part of a block section), outside means of friction have to be used.

Griffon was until this opened. Besides, there are only 2 dive coasters in North America; and they are the only ones in the USA; at the Busch Gardens parks. They should make more in the USA. How about a Six Flags park (like Six Flags St Louis, my home park, maybe in 2016, called Dare Devil Dive, same logo as Over Georgia's, but with a B&M dive coaster look, custom-built, but almost a clone of Griffon, along with a giga coaster, also by B&M, called Gralfol) or maybe a Cedar Fair park (like Carowinds, even though they're getting Fury 325 next year, but maybe a dive coaster in 2016, called Carolina Banshee)?

@bpk428 Actually, you're wrong. Griffon has 2 immelmens. One after the first drop, and one after the MCBR. This has 1 immelmen, and an overbanked turn. More of a Sheikra clone if anything (even though technically it's not).

Ok people, the Sheikra roller coaster is a kind of pre-set model, any park can use the model, it saves costs on making a custom design.

According to the Roller Coaster Data Base (rcdb.com) This is actually a "Sheikra" Dive Machine Just like Batman and Superman coasters both of those are one of few or many clones and so is this.

Actually, the parts and accessories were manufactured in Switzerland. The chinese meerly put it together. It's like someone building an ikea table and saying "I would be careful on that table, made in (insert country you live in)"
Aside from the cancerous comments, I am curious about the workings of this ride. Especially for the chain sear, since it works like the anti-rollback dog. It can slide one way but not the other. On this style of coaster it has to prevent motion both ways to hang on the chain at the top of the dive.
Does it have a fixed chain sear or 2 normal sears facing in opposite directions?
The first time I went to happy valley, I was too small. The second time I went, it was closed. I lived in Shanghai for 3 years!

There's also a remake (not a copy! Same company, same ride, different place) of Intimidator 305 in the background when the ride is approaching the first drop. People seem to forget that ride designs can be reproduced so log as the park can afford it. There are about 20 Boomerang rides across the world!

Shiekra wasn't the original vertical coaster from B&M anyway, search 'Oblivion UK POV' and you will see.

They're both Swiss. B & M is based in Monthey, while Intamin is in Wollerau.

China is indeed copying certain types of rides (just look up TPR's newest video)
But this one was made by B&M, so it's not really a copy, because B&M also made Sheikra.
However, I understand your point.

If anybody is wondering, if you open a new window and play this video and a video of a POV of Sheikra from Bush Gardens, it is the same exact design, with this one being a bit slower than the one in Tampa.
This looks a nice ride. we have in Holland a new coater the name is Baron 1898 it is very exclusief want he tell a story. :)

They didn't copy SheiKra, it was made by the same company. The park paid the company for their diving coaster design, same with Griffon at BG Williamsburg and I believe Oblivion at Alton Towers (which actually came before SheiKra)

While there are many ripoffs and knockoffs in China, this is not one of them. This is an off-the-shelf model from B&M. They have a model of their Dive Machine that has the same exact layout as SheiKra. If you don't like the facts, then see you later.
