I'm surprised they don't have yet.. like imagine building an Oasis in the desert... We have decorative planters but no trees.. ponds might be little tricky but the could have raised ones... So much more!!

Am I the only one that thinks you should be able drag an unconscious thrall behind you on horseback? Granted it would burn durability on the bindings faster
The body does not move as fast as you do and the rope just stretches for ages then when you stop they rubberband to you. It's glitchy. They could however make it so that you can put them on the back of the horse that would be much better fitting anyway.

Hi all, firstly thank you FireSpark81. Because of your videos I have been able to enjoy Conan to the fullest with all your in depth information. I'm on here to see if anyone else have been experiencing sudden thrall deaths from them re spawning. I've experienced this 3 times already with tralls I've leveled to 20. Once when taking an elevator up a cliffside the thrall respawned at the top of the elevator then fell down and died. Once while climbing a cliffside, again the thrall respawned and fell off. And the 3rd, I was upgrading pieces of a bridge on a cliffside and the thrall that was following me respawned outside of the bridge and fell to its death. Not sure if it's a bug but super annoying since I lost all the gear I had on it. Couldn't find its body anywhere. 😒
you should be able to drag thralls on horses PERIOD!, like in the old west cowboys dragged cows, sadles are made for that!, that is why they have the hitch in the front!, but alas!! you cant!
FireSpark. You got the point, beautiful weapons, but there are other options aka legendarys. I first use the Aquilonian maul, because that was chunky too, but just for fashion. What can be? I thinking about sorcery (kinda). Lets an example from Dark Souls, the infusions. Maybe can be implement into Conan. "You need a sacrifice, or soul to witchcraft your weapons". But not the legendarys, just everything else, like these beauties. Maybe that can be a start to make sorcery? What do you and everybody else think?
The white and black horses are a handcrafted recipe. You remove the finished horse from the stables into your inventory, then combine it with the tainted fodder using the correct recipe.
@@Firespark81 It's no big deal. I spent a good half hour trying to shove tainted fodder down the throats of the foals I was catching. >.> I finally had to google the item and surmised the function using the Conan wiki.
Good call on requesting/suggesting the skin transfer. Makes such a difference and made me buy the Yamatai pack just for the look. Does the Accuracy on the cavalier armour transfer to agility in 3.0? Thinking of buying Riders of Hyboria DLC.
I like the poltain light helmet. Also like that the armor would actually look good mix and matching types and still look good. Many sets if you wore the light helmet with the medium chest it would clash.

@@Firespark81 Get the Fashionist Mod. Current version as of today is v3.1.1 It provides a way to skin your armor, warpaint and weapons with any other style in the game. It's extremely popular on the RP servers and is kept up to date. The server Admin has to select which features you can reskin.
The level of detail they put in on the weapons is top tier. That’s why I don’t mind paying $10 for the cosmetic packs. IMO... some of the best looking weapons in recent video games.

The hay-covered flooring ought to have only partially covered the surface, like the sand-covered floor in the Blood and Sand DLC. This floor doesn't really look like a floor with some hay or straw on top... it looks more than anything like OSB.
I like the half walls with the pillars. I wish one day they would add a full sized triangle foundations. The crap half wedges mess up a lot of my ideas
As always, excellent video, thank you for your summaries and exploanations. I also enjoy this DLC, especially the lattice work and archway. In general there very good attention to detail on the aesthetics of the build pieces and armour. Agreed on the stone walkway depth requirements. Debauchery of Derp had almost nothing to do with Derketo. Sad really. I like this DLC significantly more, it feels like more bang for the buck to me.
I love the armour and the weapons but quick question, most of the armour in the base game feel pre medieval wile these dlc ones strike me very medieval I dont know the lore that well so I dont know it these are out of place or they still fit into the world. Also I find it wierd that they have all the faction specific horse saddle in this dlc, its wierd that I want to play as Yamatai and have that dlc I would be missing the yamatai saddle and have to buy this one for it.
I have a lot of conan comics from editorial vertice, and I can tell you there are depictions of armors similar to the ones in this dlc, also in the novels there are many "chest plated" bla bla bla. Lets compare: Turan = Ottoman empire/ hyrkanians=nomadic turks Stygians=ancient egyptians And just up north of stygia the shemite city states which are clearly middle ages muslim city states. Two nations dlc worthy: Iranistan/Persia Vendhya/india
Hmmmm.... it's not the first time I've seen that ceiling/wall bug. I think it's got something to do with the model clash mode being slightly displaced, but it's going to be extremely annoying when building with it. I normally build double levels so the real question I'd like to know is whether the archway snaps to it.
We need depth in crafting. We need material drops from bosses that can be added to recipes. A 3 skull boss has a chance to drop an epic or legendary crafting material. Then a single skull rare to epic and named can drop uncommon to rare. Then we can melt down if weapon or metal armor to bars. Then we can add these items to make crafted armor stronger or change stats. Like if we want a heavy armor to be wearable in heat then you add frost dragon scale and it lowers heat more depending on epic or legendary drop of scale. It isn't that hard and it will create so much depth in crafting and make players want to repeat content.
I'm not an hardcore player but before buying something I want to the the tea about it, are those good armor or if I'm playing co-op (so can't do stuff that needs to be a group of ppl like pvp and such) can I find better armors in the original game or am I going to really use those? Bc I don't RP and I dont want to buy something I won't be using because I found something better
Wish there was full wooden windows and door frame started building and wanted to put a door that isn't lattice but had to use some of the wooden insulated stuff. But overall i like everything else they put in this dlc
I mostly use all the DC weapons and shields either very early in the game or later for decoration. There's four slots for each color and different foal type in your inventory to decide if you want a black or white horse. Derketo DLC feels rushed.
Because when you look at what someone is holding.... You know what you are going to be hit with... Being able to change the weapon skin should then only be viewable by the wearer. When someone is attacking me with a katana, I am going to lose a different fighting style then when they come at me with normal 2h sword.... I may also just ignore someones attacks if I am armored up if I look at what your holding and decide I can probably out damage you by just trading blows.... Just one possible explanation.

At the 19:00 part you were talking about a pillared wall, I think it was ment to be an equestrian jump maybe? It would explain why you can't attach a ceiling. Also you sound a lot like a guy who does a political channel, not sure if your the same TH-camr?
Fantastic overview! Just what I needed to familiarize myself with the DLC. Edit: I can’t help thinking about Riddle of Steel DLC. I own all DLC and that was the most disappointing. The helmets especially, but the overall lack of content was appalling. By comparison this DLC is the gold standard.

I really wish the pathway worked as a foundation. It is a pain to place them in a terrain that's not ideally flat. At least they should have some kind of snapping
I have watched the video about the new content but after finding 5 foals I have not yet found the pen to grow them in yet. I have the saddle bench unlocked and also the stable built but can not find the way to grow the horses from foal to full grown. Is it possible for you to make a video showing the full basic steps to accomplish this task? ... Thanks
What if they come up with a weapon crafting system so that the components of the weapon will determine the damage output and property? This way, weapons can look exactly the way we want them to look without sacrificing the stats, because the stats will be instead determined by the components.
when the horse dies... you lose the saddle....??? picked up everything else off the horse inventory... had slots to spare so I was expecting the saddle to be in there.. and it wasn't
Modders already did the reskin system. For armors and weapons, It would be great if it is added to official servers, becuase you are right there is absolutely no point to use those weapons where you can make dragonbone or serpentman and they are better..
lances are not degrading either or at least the Flawless Poitain Heavy Lance is not.... Also getting some crazy stat growth bugs... stats going way up.. 4 to 11 in accuracy, vitality dropping from 7 to 4, agi going from to 4 to 7... all this from the horse going from level 1 to 7... Notice there are no percs yet but I have stats going down.... and the agi increase of 7 points in 6 levels... at a growth of 52%.... it's almost like I have a percs in effect but I can't see them yet since I am not lvl 10 on the horse.... weird... way to many bugs for a PAID dlc release.... Fricken buildings are getting wonky now also... you log in one time and its like your bouncing in space on your blocks... you log out and back in and its solid again.,...
Me seeing horse mounts and armor: Eh... Horses are cool but I've already put hundreds of hours into this game, I don't think mounts are enough to bring me back. 🤔 Me seeing lattice building pieces: Downloading now... 🤑
Actually give it a try. The mounts are super well done. It actually feels like you are riding a horse. They have inertia and it really does enrich the combat. They didn't cheese this update at all.

I'm going to wait a few weeks for the bugs to be worked out per usual. I love/hate that the dlc weapons and armour aren't better than base weapons you can find in the game. It's great it's not pay to win but should get your money's worth if you are paying.
They should just do what most games do and make transmog a thing. - Where you can change the look of any armor or weapon but the stats of the weapon stay the same.
So I set my attributes to full encumbrance. Still can't run with a horse once you hit 100% encumbrance. Wtf and you killed rolling so that's a no go. No serious farming anymore unless you want to spend an hour getting back. Move speed shouldn't be affecting the horse if it's not affecting you.
yeah i'm going to buy dlc for buildings and placebles as the armors and weapons look good but aren't as good as the base weapons in the game. stupidest decision in design imo
You can't pull bound thralls from your horse.. What? Thats a cowboy staple... You can't use your torch while riding the horse in water... I am clearly sitting above the water line.... why can't I use my torch Funcom? Why Can't I use anything while my horse is swimming but I am happily sitting above the water with my hands free.
Best update by far unlike some people im grateful they add new content in at all and content that save me walking everywhere.Yes there are issues like horses hovering and insta killing you and some nerf but thats hardly a reason to hate a update.
yet again another amwsomelooking armor that is fully coverd and its for hot temperature like seriously why? can i have a cool looking armor for the cold thats actualy fully coverd the cemmerian armor is cool but thats like the only thing i use for the cold it sutcks.
They're never going to produce weapons or armors in a DLC that give you a game advantage over weapons and armors in the basic game. DLCs will always be purely about cosmetics. Mods on the other hand...

The knobs on the back of the horse if for dragging your enemies around like a knocked out thrall for instance.
They should make a system where u could apply somethig to your weapon or armor to give it legendary stat
So true about the weapons. Be cool if weapon build was 1) Build Star Metal sword. 2) Pick skin.

Funcom.. we need a key to check the horse inventory while on the horse.... and ... put the horses level also on the stats screen..... geez.
A heads up. The half walls do not function the same as fences. They are taller than fences and can not be used with awnings.

You can use the Fashionista Mod to cover up the look of weapons with these new weapon skins.

Both yes. You will get horses in free and in DLC you will get 2 additional options for pure black or pure white horse I believe.

Came here a year later… still no “cosmetic armor” or “style armor overlap” to set these beauties as looks over actual gear. Maybe one day

Actually give it a try. The mounts are super well done. It actually feels like you are riding a horse. They have inertia and it really does enrich the combat. They didn't cheese this update at all.

I'm going to wait a few weeks for the bugs to be worked out per usual. I love/hate that the dlc weapons and armour aren't better than base weapons you can find in the game. It's great it's not pay to win but should get your money's worth if you are paying.
They should just do what most games do and make transmog a thing.

Long swords aren't two-handed, that's a greatsword.
a longsword is a two handed sword, the one handed sword you are thinking about is called a arming sword.

So I set my attributes to full encumbrance. Still can't run with a horse once you hit 100% encumbrance. Wtf and you killed rolling so that's a no go. No serious farming anymore unless you want to spend an hour getting back. Move speed shouldn't be affecting the horse if it's not affecting you.

I don't think so, personally. I think they vary depending on their type which is realistic. The basic horses aren't very big.
You can definitely go wrong with a unicorn look.
yeah i'm going to buy dlc for buildings and placebles as the armors and weapons look good but aren't as good as the base weapons in the game. stupidest decision in design imo
The lattice work is amazing with the vanilla wood pieces & sandstone in my opinion . That's why I bought the set ,for balconies to look fancier .
You can't pull bound thralls from your horse.. What? Thats a cowboy staple...
You can't use your torch while riding the horse in water... I am clearly sitting above the water line.... why can't I use my torch Funcom? Why Can't I use anything while my horse is swimming but I am happily sitting above the water with my hands free.

Best update by far unlike some people im grateful they add new content in at all and content that save me walking everywhere.Yes there are issues like horses hovering and insta killing you and some nerf but thats hardly a reason to hate a update.

yet again another amwsomelooking armor that is fully coverd and its for hot temperature like seriously why? can i have a cool looking armor for the cold thats actualy fully coverd the cemmerian armor is cool but thats like the only thing i use for the cold it sutcks.

They're never going to produce weapons or armors in a DLC that give you a game advantage over weapons and armors in the basic game. DLCs will always be purely about cosmetics. Mods on the other hand...
