I used to build similar heatstroke bases with normal torches and campfires but it got patched so that it won't work anymore. I guess this glow torch thing will be patched after this too.

They reversed the fish so now you get the most oil from exotic fish instead of unappetizing. I wonder if it would work if you put 1 exotic in each slot that doesn't have bugs in it.
The best tip for anyone on officials pvp. 1. Be quiet in chat 2. Never built 1 wall deep because people will exploit with sickle and steal your stuff 3. Don’t make yourself noticed unless you can defend yourself/base 4. Building high is what you want to do and have anti climb. 5. Don’t waste your time with pets they are useless 6. Get a taskmaster thrall first for your wheel. :)
It’s really not a waste to grind on pets, if you’re getting raided by pure idiots who don’t know how to raid properly then your pets are a big help to keep them distracted and gives you more time to defend and attack them whilst they try to clear your animals out.
When we took on the mega on our pvp server then took out the rest of the server we built a small base and maxed out our character the first day. Then gathered everything we needed the second day and built an enormous honeycomb full black is base with a temple on each honeycomb structure. We left it so people could drop down onto the base but built up the inside in such a way that even with agility maxed out you couldn't get out. We then filled it with sabers and bears and a named fighting thrall in every spot we could place one. We had enough tokens to span as many gods as needed and kept the shield up permanently until the war was done. We took the server down in 9 days. Then left our own tribe and invited the entire server to come join us in raiding our own base. It was a blast lol
Couple of additional tips, dismantling the cimmerian epic armor gives layered fur and hardened leather for you to craft different epics, if farming the gold/silver/etc isn't up your alley. Also, regular torches raise heat, and can be used similarly to the glowing torches for anti climb.
Hey FireSpark. I may have something for you. The *"Hammer of the Whale"* has a *"Sapping"* attribute. This hammer turns bosses into babies. Baby tanks but defenseless babies none the less. It saps the stamina from the target, preventing them from attacking... as long as the thrall keeps up their attack. While farming for the Doom hammer, I passed by the Neebs Easter egg nearby. Twice, the Hammer of the Whale spawned, so I gave it to my Slavetaker III thrall for the interim. My farming run is the Den and two bosses in the Unnamed City: The Brute (lizard skeleton boss) and the Guardian of the Flame (armored skeleton praying at altar). Then back to the Den to repeat the process. I was not about to take my T3 thrall to the Skittering cavern or to fight the wight boss (the Grave Walker, the wight that drops the Sword of Crom), even with a Doom hammer. When attacking the skeleton bosses, I first believed the boss AI was just bugged. The bosses maybe got one attack in ten. It was slow due to the hammer's low damage but the thrall didn't need my help. When I finally got Doom, I switched out the Whale. Then went on a few more Unnamed city runs. Just the two aforementioned bosses, since at this point my PC is low 30's, so no healing arrows. The boss AI was fighting as expected but Doom was defeating them quickly. Now it was time for a Treasure Seeker thrall, the boss was no match for my thrall. While my new Treasure Seeker was breaking, I decided to get some better tools and I still wanted an axe. So we headed to Bin-Yakin's Seal, The Scraps and Jhil's Roost. The bat boss in Bin-Yakin's Seal owned my thrall (with Doom) and without my intervention would have died. I tried this twice, both times my thrall almost died. It was then that I asked what was "Sapping" anyway? Maybe what I thought was an AI bug was actually intended. So I rearmed my T3 thrall with the Whale and went back to Bin-Yakin's Seal. Wow, the bat boss attacks were severely limited and it couldn't complete any specials. *"It"* was owned. So I thought, "let's prove this". We went to the Skittering cavern because I really wanted that helm. The spider boss was like the others, as long as the thrall kept up the attack the spider boss could do very little. Now for the Grave Walker. And just wow! Wau, kawow, wow wow wow wow wow. I just stood there and watched. On a 2nd attempt, my thrall was not attacking as consistently and did get hurt, a little. Now I have to wonder if this will work on the Red Mother. I believe the premise of the Sapping attribute was balanced if a player used the Whale. But a thrall can attack without any stamina cost. This may still be an early to mid game weapon but I think it is more powerful than it may have been given credit. I encourage you to check out this weapon and see for yourself. I would love to see a video of your take on the Whale. Me? I am going to farm Sepermeru for an Advanced Weapon Damage kit or two.
Great tips, thanks! To add on to the thrall with truncheon scenario, after everyone is knocked out use your bindings to drag them into a pile and then gas them like... um... use gas arrows to kill them en mass so that fresh ones will spawn. Also I had no idea the Nemedian helmet did armor repair as well, I thought it was only right handed weapons.
I didn’t realize you were using it for a community video 😅 I would have explained more. You use the foundation trick primarily for hidden bases. If there is a base on a bridge a mile high and you don’t want to climb just pull out the block because you cannot build over or under anyone’s base period.

The reason why I found out about the wall is because I found this book in the unnamed city don't remember exactly where but when I read it told me about an entrance on the west wall where the 5th arch is. But I was looking for entrance to a building I thought maybe there some thing hidden somewhere so when I went to climb the wall I fell right through. I just discovered this 2 days ago and I have been playing for over a year non stop.
Not many people know this but you can hit things on the floor such as worms eggs feathers and branches with tools and get way more than being picked up (its tricky though you need to hold the attack button and spam crouch)
I've also debated this having spent a combined 130 days worth of time in game. Literally. On both games. ARK was amazing. The pvp was basically unplayable. We found a semi dead server and took it over, got to tek level and had everything made out of metal, helped other tribes build up on the server only to have the entire server wiped by a mega tribe in a matter of hours then had our toons held hostage for weeks until we just quit trying. Pve was way more laid back but full of trolls. You basically had to drop the pillar/latter combo right out the gate or risk some random dropping one right in the middle of your base preventing you from doing anything. We built an enormous base, raised dozens of gigas, hundreds of rexs, had high stat event dinos and both bred and tamed everything. We did every boss fight, tamed the titans, and would do boss runs every other day taking turns farming the artifacts and items needed to stat the fight. We would freely bring anyone who wanted to join us and typically had a full crew of people from different servers. Met some of the worst ppl I've ever spoken to in that game. I saw ppl get extorted for real life money over bases lost to tribe merging, saw entire bases gasbagged, watched ppl trap others in cages then use snow owls to keep them from dying. Pve was in the end almost worse than pvp because you could actually fight back. And even if you did war with a tribe there are literally dozens of ways to cheat. Overall ark was fun and beautiful, but requires an insane amount of maintenance to maintain what you've worked for, and I'll never return. On conan I loved both pvp and pve. The trolls weren't half as bad and in pvp you actually have a chance. My gf and I took down a mega tribe then took down an entire server after just 1 week and everyone was a good sport about it throughout. We built cities, and never once had a bad time. The game mechanics were better than ark, and it was just ad visually stimulating though had far less colors and customizable features. The pet system was ok, required little to no effort. Basically an all around easier game than ark. Having said that, if I ever chose to go back and play either game, I would have to choose Conan. They would have to make a new map though to make me even consider going back as both games are insane time sinks.
The Funkadelic That’s why I don’t play Official on Ark. Our server is the best group of people I have ever met in a game. I was on Official PvE for fifteen minutes after Installation, said NUH UH, this place is a ghetto, and started a single player game. A few weeks later, I mentioned my experience in Facebook, and someone told me to try their server, because their admins were awesome. I said “ok, I might play sometimes, while I build up my single player game”. Two years later, our bases are all still there (even after an eight month break from me! Our admins never demolish a base without messaging us first!), our “marketplace” is largely unused, because when we want something, someone else says “I have that”, or “Here, lemme help you get it”, and we all lament the fact that we don’t live close enough to each other to have a drink and a great time in person. I feel so bad that your Ark experience was so negative. I might add that I DID hop into an official server a few weeks ago to make a tutorial and happened on an Official Abb PvP server that was NOT a ghetto. I jumped into chat and said Hi, and the people there were SO NICE, much to my surprise. (They actually kinda ruined my video, because I was hoping to get slaughtered on the beach just after log-in! 😂🤣😅). I’m sure that’s rare on Official, but it does exist! There were a couple of others I didn't know, but that one to me is by far the most useful. I remember you used to be able to hit the piles with a pick or hatchet, but then they took that away....I tried everything BUT the sickle! Dammit! Lol
I have been playing Conan Exiles on and off, PvP & PvE, since a bit before release, but your videos have renewed my excitement to play it, and introduced me to just how much there is to the game. I never followed any discords, or subreddits, etc., so I had no idea what all there was to it. Thanks for the tips.
I mentioned this in another reply, but thought it deserved it’s own comment: If you’ve ever noticed how the timer on eggs in the compost bin never quite works right... If you’re in render range the timer on the eggs ticks down at 1s every 1s, but if you go out of range it ticks down twice as fast. So if you put eggs in that have 1h 10m to hatch then leave the area and come back in 35m they will be done, but if you sit next to them they will take the full 1h 10m.
A nice tip, although I'm sure others are aware of this, is that you can use the reinforcement kits on glowing sticks to extend it's life by 10/20/30 minutes.
@@glorthoron3791 I lost my "Final Breath Of The Red Mother" 2 days ago and haven't been able to farm another since. Those are rare found in the unnamed city from the red dragon.
7:21 just have yellow lotus potion and reset your points to have enough points in Encumbrance until you can move at full speed regardless of encumbrance... than when done moving loads and loads of heavy stuff, use another potion and spec it back to whatever build you prefer.
Here is a little tip I just stumbled across a few days ago, could be useful. You can check the stability, damage, and decay timer of buildings and placed items WITHOUT having to carry around the repair hammer. Just get up close to and point at the item, then hold down Tab. It works on other players' stuff and structures, too, not just your own...
Everyone seems to either really like this guys videos or really hate them and I'm a firm believer that if you dont like a video you should just sod off and watch something else.
Now with the AI changes anything with cheesing them on a building doesn't work. They now reset and regen all their HP when you go to an un-reachable area (for them).

Worth noting: thrall armor and equipment NEVER take durability hits on Official servers. Also, if you're over-encumbered, have no daggers and okay with putting your heavy armor into inventory, rolling works well for faster-than-walking travel.
You may also wear helmet yourself and take damage from the toxic lake and the helmet because it isn't being hit doesn't take durability. You may also throw gas orbs and stand in middle and repair armour and weapons while taking damage. Though this takes longer. Either way shall not give durability dmg to helmet.
farming for more thralls is easy to industrialise. Just put as big as a wheel of pain you can afford as close to a town as you feel comfortable with. Than place about 4-6 thralls with clubs in front and simply pull npc's out into your bashing party. Than you just stick em on the wheel while they're out cold.
Ok in the war makers dungeon when u get to the 3 mini boss rooms if u go into the purple room way in the back right theres a corner where u can get the boss stuck while poking it from a safe distance. You gain the bosses agro take it into the corner then jump over a little slab that's there. This means hes on one side and you're on the other (it's the room with the set head and you'll see the slab when u go into the corner sorry it's kinda hard to explain).
that dagger trick works better with steel claws, the attacks cover more ground and are faster. Power attack is almost as fast as a horse sprinting full speed
@@primalmojo9599 I dont usually capture thralls, I have to many already. But u can still use the same tactic only dont gas them when they group up and put a trenchon on ur thrall. Thrall will knock them all out into a pile. U take ur pick and gas the rest.

Just wanted to point out that if you need Ichor bit quicker you can hop over to the jungle ob and farm the sand reapers and locusts with a pick also the sand reaper boss gives a considerable amount as well. Great video tho as always keep em comin
Here's a tip most people don't seem to know. When you are in MAX shelter (the shelter house buff is completely filled in) the rate at which your hunger/thirst goes down is decreased *greatly.* Want to AFK for a bit, but don't want to risk starving to death if you take too long? Have your character stand in the max shelter.
While encumbred and daggers equipped you can actually click CTRL or the kick button to cover alot distance with relatively low stamina doing backflips.
Incase your server has a walled off black keep or something a cool tip is that there is a door down to the left under the ice and water that leads into the Black Keep. It's called the Undergate
Blue torch is good tip, I just started game and I met someone who lived in a tower who I teamed up with and I got cooked alive in the tower because he was cooking and smelting stuff.
Another way to cover ground fast while encumbered, dodge forward 3 times, wait a couple of seconds for stamina regen, rinse and repeat. Note: doesn't work with heavy armor, you have to roll dodge.
1 Bark 1 Ichor in the "alchemie fire" = 5 Oil. Iam not sure if this is vanilla but on my server this is my way to go. If you put the big insects (easy farm at your compost) into the fish trap you gain exotic fish 1 for 1 and put them into the fluid press.
You need first a T5 (or T4 purge, whatever you want to call it) alchemist. Either wait for a purge or go camp the Witch Doctor spawn at The Summoning Place.
I love that thing with the glow torches! Would of loved to have used for the labyrinth underneath my base but if it affects infinitely above it too I would have to make a labyrinth before you can enter my base. Does the torches also affect NPCs or is it only for pvp?
If you need a good fuel, just use coal, there is plenty almost everywhere and it last forever, don't bother with crafting oil, you need a lot of fish or seeds to get a little oil. Save oil for making hardened leather you will need a lot of oil for that. And when you are over encumbered, just try to quickly holster your weapon when you start to run, you have a chance to trick the game and get running, it works fine the first time you try to run over encumbered. I also noticed that the bow with a good arrow is very efficient against big beasts like a royal rhino, i was surprised to see how much quicker you can kill it than with a sword for example. That's very usefull when you play solo and have to take out those almost immortal beasts, other weapons take forever !
The unappetizing fish doesn't give 1 to 1 oil. It's 10 to 1. The appetizing fish gives 5 to 1 and the savoury fish gives 1 to 1. Using your compost heap put 1 compost in u get 50 fat grubs that's better the the little bugs
I just started playing today on PS4 and found another method of movement while encumbered. If you equip a torch, then a one-handed tool/weapon and then remove the weapon while walking forward it puts you back at walking speed. I don't know if this will work on PC though.
Just get a pet to roll with you and fill its inventory. On pve I always had high encumbrance. Especially early in the game. You can use yellow lotus potion to switch up you stats whenever youd like. In late game I found myself doing this often depending on what I was doing
When I am overburdened I have always just rolled forward three times then recovered my stamina. But the dagger lunge looks like it would take me further on less stamina. Also, when harvesting rocks, ore, etc. Look for multiples and aim in-between them. You will harvest multiple objects at the same time for a single point of durability loss. Your tool will last longer and you can harvest more. Use the Vanity camera to quickly "check your six". You may have to initially set the camera but there after, a quick tap of the "V" key and you can see what is happening behind you. Can't take credit for this as another commenter on your vids mentioned this first (I believe in the beating the game at level 21 series).
When I was still playing conan I build so many horizontal and vertical elevator in case of womdering the whole map to get easy access😂😂😂 no more encumberence
Now question is can the torches be used to cool u off in ur base to a comfortable amount based on how many u have down or any other factor? Or is it just always going to drop dramatically
does the torches help building in vulcano area to keep the temperature chill? im wondering because without a starmetal (black knight) armor its a pain in the a** and if you log out you will die eventually. can someone confirm this?
Okay, so I have one that actually works fairly well, although I hate to share it so they do not fix it, but with the new Thrall system coming, it likely won't matter much. Currently one of the best Thralls to get is the Relic Hunter Treasure Seeker; you have done videos about it. When I went looking for one following your video, I just couldn't find one at all. I kept finding Relic Hunter Slave Takers instead (3.5k health). However, right at the entrance to the Wine Cellar Dungeon after defeating the first boss is a pair of RHTSs, one an archer and one a warrior. So after seeing them there I decided to experiment to see if I could actually pull one out of the dungeon on a binding. I found that when I did this the Binding kind of bugged out and shot off into the distance but I still had the Thrall unconscious on the end of it, even though I just couldn't see him. I ran all the way to my base, clicked on the Thrall wheel, and Bam I have a RHTS being broken. I use my Thralls to knock out other Thralls as well. I have found that the Thralls typically bug out when you use anything besides a Steel Truncheon. It is like they just have no idea what they are holding. During a purge I will put out 4 Thralls with Steel Truncheons and Hardened Steel Shields. This makes purges last a bit longer because it stalls the purge timer until you go around collecting the ones you want and spearing the ones you do not. Until they are put on the Thrall wheel or murdered another wave will not come. So you kind of want to do this quickly so you can get to that last wave with the much better Thralls. Anyway, that's how I got my legions of followers before the Thrall change. Enjoy! :)
@@randallporter1404 That is exactly where I went but there were no RHTS's at all there.... ever. Maybe it was a spawn timer thing, or maybe the game actually moved them. I had a base set up in that dry valley there.
@@Jay-ate-a-bug OK, obvious things: base too close to RHTS spawn and on a PvP server, someone already cleared them (doubtful). There are three other locations in the Unnamed city where RHTSs spawn, you might check them out but be careful. The beauty of FireSparks location is the ability to manage the combatants. There's a group of RHTSs at E5 (E almost on the line (east), mid 5) including one named, two archers and two fighters. Another group is at D5 (< mid D, 5 almost to the top) SW corner of Citadel of the Triumvirate within the corruption zone, including one named, three archers and one fighter. And the last group is at D6 (due west of the Archive map icon, D 0.75 and ~ 6.9) including one named, two archers and one fighter.
@@randallporter1404 PVE Server and Relic hunter Slavetakers spawned there as I said, so no, base was not too close. Anyway, the point of my tips comment was to tell people that they can get them from the Wine Cellar... for now, as well.
For the Asgarth one it's even easier if you climb up on the big statue where the priest/high priest/priestess/daughter of ymir is. You can stand up there kill all of them, kill the daughter and get the Frost Giant horn. It's easier on the statue cause you can agro them all into a small area and gas/explosive arrow them.
I don't leave the nemedian on my thrall as it offers no armor practically. Instead I leave it in his inventory and every now and then when i need to repair a weapon or tool I find a quiet place, put the helmet on him and start punching him. This will repair most of my legendary weapons and tools in just a minute or so, doesn't require a second weapon for the thrall to carry identical to my main, doesn't leave him with gimped armor all the time, and is significantly faster than any other method of obtaining a legendary repair kit. I.E. killing a unnamed city boss or even if you happen to have a t4 blacksmith even farming the mats and processing them to craft a legendary repair kit. Not that either of those methods are bad but this method is just soo so good.
Did you happen to check and see if the not really there wall at the end effects NPC's if you stand in it while attacking. I would test it but don't want to play until the new patch. Can't wait. They better have improved AI while working on thralls or I will be so angry.
ai changes arent planned yet, so no official confirmation. but they said they want to work on them so there is hope for the near future. the idea with each update is to get features out when they are ready instead of bundling them all together.
build a hidden base inside the wall :D that way people that don't know about it won't think of checking it, and people who know about it, will think its patched once they try and walk through.
Kind of want to try building a base inside that wall now. Its not the greatest in terms of nearby resources but could work as a good place to log out on PVP servers.
if you havent already please make a video on all weapons that can be used to knock out thralls cause there is a legendary weapon called ''Lovetap'' i think which does 1 dmg and there is also a weird truncheon you can get from the drunk guy in the wine cellar so maybe you can make a video about all of them and which is the best
You can drop off the cooked fish and any other type of food you don't want in the fluid press. Fill it up. It'll gradually spoil and as the spoiled meat builds up to 50 units, it converts to ichor.
One problem u r gonna face is that fluid press holds only 10 slots which doesn't make it a good ichor maker this way, but u can drop the food in a compost so it purifies faster then move it to the press
Nemedian helmet only repairs main hand weapon. Also the godbreaker boots have the same effect. Give that your thrall, instead of that silly looking helmet ;)
dlwatib building on lava won't do anything good amour can handle that, you put a load fireplaces around it don't matter what amour you have on ur going get heatstroke
See the first tip is a prime example of why we shouldn’t have a thrall cap, because some of them(most) go full derp and won’t fight, the only way to bypass this you have to have more thralls then could possibly go derp
Funcom have a cap on how many player npc that are allowed to fight at the same time since AI processes are taxing on the game and can result in lag, the more thralls you have concentrated in an area the more derp you have in said area. 4-5 AI will function, the rest will run in circles or stand still since they're not allocated enough resources to act at full capacity.
Btw, pick is overall preferable tool if you want to harvest more hides rather than flesh and dont have skining knife. Only reptile hide and fur can be harvested purely with skining knife
Build a super tall stair case by the world bosses and lure them up and take the floor out from beneath them and the drop insta kills them and you have easy unlimited keys
if i were going to wear the nemedian helmet , id go underwater and come back up before i drown myself . i use on thrall for weapons i cannot hold underwater

When attacking the skeleton bosses, I first believed the boss AI was just bugged. The bosses maybe got one attack in ten. It was slow due to the hammer's low damage but the thrall didn't need my help.
When I finally got Doom, I switched out the Whale. Then went on a few more Unnamed city runs. Just the two aforementioned bosses, since at this point my PC is low 30's, so no healing arrows. The boss AI was fighting as expected but Doom was defeating them quickly.
Now it was time for a Treasure Seeker thrall, the boss was no match for my thrall. While my new Treasure Seeker was breaking, I decided to get some better tools and I still wanted an axe. So we headed to Bin-Yakin's Seal, The Scraps and Jhil's Roost. The bat boss in Bin-Yakin's Seal owned my thrall (with Doom) and without my intervention would have died. I tried this twice, both times my thrall almost died. It was then that I asked what was "Sapping" anyway? Maybe what I thought was an AI bug was actually intended. So I rearmed my T3 thrall with the Whale and went back to Bin-Yakin's Seal.
Wow, the bat boss attacks were severely limited and it couldn't complete any specials. *"It"* was owned. So I thought, "let's prove this". We went to the Skittering cavern because I really wanted that helm. The spider boss was like the others, as long as the thrall kept up the attack the spider boss could do very little. Now for the Grave Walker. And just wow! Wau, kawow, wow wow wow wow wow. I just stood there and watched. On a 2nd attempt, my thrall was not attacking as consistently and did get hurt, a little. Now I have to wonder if this will work on the Red Mother.
I believe the premise of the Sapping attribute was balanced if a player used the Whale. But a thrall can attack without any stamina cost. This may still be an early to mid game weapon but I think it is more powerful than it may have been given credit.
I encourage you to check out this weapon and see for yourself. I would love to see a video of your take on the Whale. Me? I am going to farm Sepermeru for an Advanced Weapon Damage kit or two.

To add on to the thrall with truncheon scenario, after everyone is knocked out use your bindings to drag them into a pile and then gas them like... um... use gas arrows to kill them en mass so that fresh ones will spawn.
Also I had no idea the Nemedian helmet did armor repair as well, I thought it was only right handed weapons.
I didn’t realize you were using it for a community video 😅 I would have explained more. You use the foundation trick primarily for hidden bases. If there is a base on a bridge a mile high and you don’t want to climb just pull out the block because you cannot build over or under anyone’s base period.

The reason why I found out about the wall is because I found this book in the unnamed city don't remember exactly where but when I read it told me about an entrance on the west wall where the 5th arch is. But I was looking for entrance to a building I thought maybe there some thing hidden somewhere so when I went to climb the wall I fell right through. I just discovered this 2 days ago and I have been playing for over a year non stop.

Not many people know this but you can hit things on the floor such as worms eggs feathers and branches with tools and get way more than being picked up (its tricky though you need to hold the attack button and spam crouch)
No need to spam it, just left click attack and then immediately hit C and you crouch as you hit it.

I've also debated this having spent a combined 130 days worth of time in game. Literally. On both games. ARK was amazing. The pvp was basically unplayable. We found a semi dead server and took it over, got to tek level and had everything made out of metal, helped other tribes build up on the server only to have the entire server wiped by a mega tribe in a matter of hours then had our toons held hostage for weeks until we just quit trying. Pve was way more laid back but full of trolls. You basically had to drop the pillar/latter combo right out the gate or risk some random dropping one right in the middle of your base preventing you from doing anything. We built an enormous base, raised dozens of gigas, hundreds of rexs, had high stat event dinos and both bred and tamed everything. We did every boss fight, tamed the titans, and would do boss runs every other day taking turns farming the artifacts and items needed to stat the fight. We would freely bring anyone who wanted to join us and typically had a full crew of people from different servers. Met some of the worst ppl I've ever spoken to in that game. I saw ppl get extorted for real life money over bases lost to tribe merging, saw entire bases gasbagged, watched ppl trap others in cages then use snow owls to keep them from dying. Pve was in the end almost worse than pvp because you could actually fight back. And even if you did war with a tribe there are literally dozens of ways to cheat. Overall ark was fun and beautiful, but requires an insane amount of maintenance to maintain what you've worked for, and I'll never return. On conan I loved both pvp and pve. The trolls weren't half as bad and in pvp you actually have a chance. My gf and I took down a mega tribe then took down an entire server after just 1 week and everyone was a good sport about it throughout. We built cities, and never once had a bad time. The game mechanics were better than ark, and it was just ad visually stimulating though had far less colors and customizable features. The pet system was ok, required little to no effort. Basically an all around easier game than ark. Having said that, if I ever chose to go back and play either game, I would have to choose Conan. They would have to make a new map though to make me even consider going back as both games are insane time sinks.
The Funkadelic That’s why I don’t play Official on Ark. Our server is the best group of people I have ever met in a game. I was on Official PvE for fifteen minutes after Installation, said NUH UH, this place is a ghetto, and started a single player game. A few weeks later, I mentioned my experience in Facebook, and someone told me to try their server, because their admins were awesome. I said “ok, I might play sometimes, while I build up my single player game”. Two years later, our bases are all still there (even after an eight month break from me! Our admins never demolish a base without messaging us first!), our “marketplace” is largely unused, because when we want something, someone else says “I have that”, or “Here, lemme help you get it”, and we all lament the fact that we don’t live close enough to each other to have a drink and a great time in person. I feel so bad that your Ark experience was so negative. I might add that I DID hop into an official server a few weeks ago to make a tutorial and happened on an Official Abb PvP server that was NOT a ghetto. I jumped into chat and said Hi, and the people there were SO NICE, much to my surprise. (They actually kinda ruined my video, because I was hoping to get slaughtered on the beach just after log-in! 😂🤣😅). I’m sure that’s rare on Official, but it does exist! There were a couple of others I didn't know, but that one to me is by far the most useful. I remember you used to be able to hit the piles with a pick or hatchet, but then they took that away....I tried everything BUT the sickle! Dammit! Lol
I use dodge-roll when I'm over encumbered, it's great as there's a perk that reduces stamina cost from dodging, so it's a cheap way to get around!
I have been playing Conan Exiles on and off, PvP & PvE, since a bit before release, but your videos have renewed my excitement to play it, and introduced me to just how much there is to the game. If you’ve ever noticed how the timer on eggs in the compost bin never quite works right...
If you’re in render range the timer on the eggs ticks down at 1s every 1s, but if you go out of range it ticks down twice as fast. So if you put eggs in that have 1h 10m to hatch then leave the area and come back in 35m they will be done, but if you sit next to them they will take the full 1h 10m.

instead of attacking with the daggers use the back flip its amazing how fast it is reminds me of prepatch role
7:21 just have yellow lotus potion and reset your points to have enough points in Encumbrance until you can move at full speed regardless of encumbrance... than when done moving loads and loads of heavy stuff, use another potion and spec it back to whatever build you prefer.
Here is a little tip I just stumbled across a few days ago, could be useful. You can check the stability, damage, and decay timer of buildings and placed items WITHOUT having to carry around the repair hammer. Just get up close to and point at the item, then hold down Tab. It works on other players' stuff and structures, too, not just your own...

Everyone seems to either really like this guys videos or really hate them and I'm a firm believer that if you dont like a video you should just sod off and watch something else.
His tips are good but he is obviously a game cheat by just looking at his videos.
Now with the AI changes anything with cheesing them on a building doesn't work. They now reset and regen all their HP when you go to an un-reachable area (for them).

I found when you are over-encumbered you can just rapidly switch between two weapons because in the equip animation it allows you to move normal speed

Worth noting: thrall armor and equipment NEVER take durability hits on Official servers.
Also, if you're over-encumbered, have no daggers and okay with putting your heavy armor into inventory, rolling works well for faster-than-walking travel.

You may also wear helmet yourself and take damage from the toxic lake and the helmet because it isn't being hit doesn't take durability. You may also throw gas orbs and stand in middle and repair armour and weapons while taking damage. Though this takes longer. Either way shall not give durability dmg to helmet.
farming for more thralls is easy to industrialise. Just put as big as a wheel of pain you can afford as close to a town as you feel comfortable with. Than place about 4-6 thralls with clubs in front and simply pull npc's out into your bashing party. Than you just stick em on the wheel while they're out cold.
The torch tip is cool, literally. ^^

Ok in the war makers dungeon when u get to the 3 mini boss rooms if u go into the purple room way in the back right theres a corner where u can get the boss stuck while poking it from a safe distance. You gain the bosses agro take it into the corner then jump over a little slab that's there. This means hes on one side and you're on the other (it's the room with the set head and you'll see the slab when u go into the corner sorry it's kinda hard to explain).
"As you can see it can't hit the archer" - Cuts the video as soon as the 2nd Shaleback lunges at the archer, hitting it.

nemedian helmet doesn't repair armor or shields. Only repairs tool or weapon equipped in right hand.
that dagger trick works better with steel claws, the attacks cover more ground and are faster. Power attack is almost as fast as a horse sprinting full speed
Hey cool my tip made the cut. That exactly how I raid asgarth. I use gas cause it's easy to shoot over houses and agro thralls on the other side.
Only problem with it is you could kill a good named thrall if you don't cherry pick first.
@@primalmojo9599 I dont usually capture thralls, I have to many already. But u can still use the same tactic only dont gas them when they group up and put a trenchon on ur thrall. Thrall will knock them all out into a pile. U take ur pick and gas the rest.

Just wanted to point out that if you need Ichor bit quicker you can hop over to the jungle ob and farm the sand reapers and locusts with a pick also the sand reaper boss gives a considerable amount as well. Great video tho as always keep em comin
Here's a tip most people don't seem to know.
When you are in MAX shelter (the shelter house buff is completely filled in) the rate at which your hunger/thirst goes down is decreased *greatly.*
Want to AFK for a bit, but don't want to risk starving to death if you take too long? Have your character stand in the max shelter.
While encumbred and daggers equipped you can actually click CTRL or the kick button to cover alot distance with relatively low stamina doing backflips.
Incase your server has a walled off black keep or something a cool tip is that there is a door down to the left under the ice and water that leads into the Black Keep. It's called the Undergate
Blue torch is good tip, I just started game and I met someone who lived in a tower who I teamed up with and I got cooked alive in the tower because he was cooking and smelting stuff.

Another way to cover ground fast while encumbered, dodge forward 3 times, wait a couple of seconds for stamina regen, rinse and repeat. Note: doesn't work with heavy armor, you have to roll dodge.
We do that one all of the time. It's a good one for beginners.

1 Bark 1 Ichor in the "alchemie fire" = 5 Oil. Iam not sure if this is vanilla but on my server this is my way to go. If you put the big insects (easy farm at your compost) into the fish trap you gain exotic fish 1 for 1 and put them into the fluid press.
You need first a T5 (or T4 purge, whatever you want to call it) alchemist. Either wait for a purge or go camp the Witch Doctor spawn at The Summoning Place.
Yea I'm on a server with no purge.. and I have not been lucky enough to get a T4 alchemist yet.. it's super annoying..

I love that thing with the glow torches! Would of loved to have used for the labyrinth underneath my base but if it affects infinitely above it too I would have to make a labyrinth before you can enter my base. Does the torches also affect NPCs or is it only for pvp?
Michael Williams temperatures only affect players not thralls or any npcs
If you need a good fuel, just use coal, there is plenty almost everywhere and it last forever, don't bother with crafting oil, you need a lot of fish or seeds to get a little oil. Save oil for making hardened leather you will need a lot of oil for that.
And when you are over encumbered, just try to quickly holster your weapon when you start to run, you have a chance to trick the game and get running, it works fine the first time you try to run over encumbered.
I also noticed that the bow with a good arrow is very efficient against big beasts like a royal rhino, i was surprised to see how much quicker you can kill it than with a sword for example. That's very usefull when you play solo and have to take out those almost immortal beasts, other weapons take forever !
For the truncheon thrall, why the weapon damage kit and not the Advanced Blunted Weapon Fitting?
The unappetizing fish doesn't give 1 to 1 oil. It's 10 to 1. The appetizing fish gives 5 to 1 and the savoury fish gives 1 to 1. Using your compost heap put 1 compost in u get 50 fat grubs that's better the the little bugs
I just started playing today on PS4 and found another method of movement while encumbered. If you equip a torch, then a one-handed tool/weapon and then remove the weapon while walking forward it puts you back at walking speed. I don't know if this will work on PC though.
Just get a pet to roll with you and fill its inventory. On pve I always had high encumbrance. Especially early in the game. You can use yellow lotus potion to switch up you stats whenever youd like. In late game I found myself doing this often depending on what I was doing

years late to the part here but with the daggers: special attack (back flip) is great for encumbered movement too
When I am overburdened I have always just rolled forward three times then recovered my stamina. But the dagger lunge looks like it would take me further on less stamina.
Also, when harvesting rocks, ore, etc. Look for multiples and aim in-between them. You will harvest multiple objects at the same time for a single point of durability loss. Your tool will last longer and you can harvest more.
Use the Vanity camera to quickly "check your six". You may have to initially set the camera but there after, a quick tap of the "V" key and you can see what is happening behind you. Can't take credit for this as another commenter on your vids mentioned this first (I believe in the beating the game at level 21 series).
When I was still playing conan I build so many horizontal and vertical elevator in case of womdering the whole map to get easy access😂😂😂 no more encumberence
I use a combo of sword and throwing axes. Lung attack takes less Stam when you have throwing axes in your offhand. At least on PS4
Now question is can the torches be used to cool u off in ur base to a comfortable amount based on how many u have down or any other factor? Or is it just always going to drop dramatically
does the torches help building in vulcano area to keep the temperature chill? im wondering because without a starmetal (black knight) armor its a pain in the a** and if you log out you will die eventually. can someone confirm this?

Okay, so I have one that actually works fairly well, although I hate to share it so they do not fix it, but with the new Thrall system coming, it likely won't matter much. Currently one of the best Thralls to get is the Relic Hunter Treasure Seeker; you have done videos about it. When I went looking for one following your video, I just couldn't find one at all. I kept finding Relic Hunter Slave Takers instead (3.5k health). However, right at the entrance to the Wine Cellar Dungeon after defeating the first boss is a pair of RHTSs, one an archer and one a warrior.
So after seeing them there I decided to experiment to see if I could actually pull one out of the dungeon on a binding. I found that when I did this the Binding kind of bugged out and shot off into the distance but I still had the Thrall unconscious on the end of it, even though I just couldn't see him. I ran all the way to my base, clicked on the Thrall wheel, and Bam I have a RHTS being broken.
I use my Thralls to knock out other Thralls as well. I have found that the Thralls typically bug out when you use anything besides a Steel Truncheon. It is like they just have no idea what they are holding. During a purge I will put out 4 Thralls with Steel Truncheons and Hardened Steel Shields. This makes purges last a bit longer because it stalls the purge timer until you go around collecting the ones you want and spearing the ones you do not. Until they are put on the Thrall wheel or murdered another wave will not come. So you kind of want to do this quickly so you can get to that last wave with the much better Thralls.
Anyway, that's how I got my legions of followers before the Thrall change. Enjoy! :)
You went to the Unnamed city (C/D 6, 1/4 north of 6)? Remember FireSpark's favorite spot? That is where the Treasure Seekers are found.
@@randallporter1404 That is exactly where I went but there were no RHTS's at all there.... ever. Maybe it was a spawn timer thing, or maybe the game actually moved them. I had a base set up in that dry valley there.
@@Jay-ate-a-bug OK, obvious things: base too close to RHTS spawn and on a PvP server, someone already cleared them (doubtful). There are three other locations in the Unnamed city where RHTSs spawn, you might check them out but be careful. The beauty of FireSparks location is the ability to manage the combatants.
There's a group of RHTSs at E5 (E almost on the line (east), mid 5) including one named, two archers and two fighters. Another group is at D5 (< mid D, 5 almost to the top) SW corner of Citadel of the Triumvirate within the corruption zone, including one named, three archers and one fighter. And the last group is at D6 (due west of the Archive map icon, D 0.75 and ~ 6.9) including one named, two archers and one fighter.
@@randallporter1404 PVE Server and Relic hunter Slavetakers spawned there as I said, so no, base was not too close. Anyway, the point of my tips comment was to tell people that they can get them from the Wine Cellar... for now, as well.
For the Asgarth one it's even easier if you climb up on the big statue where the priest/high priest/priestess/daughter of ymir is. You can stand up there kill all of them, kill the daughter and get the Frost Giant horn. It's easier on the statue cause you can agro them all into a small area and gas/explosive arrow them.
I don't leave the nemedian on my thrall as it offers no armor practically. Instead I leave it in his inventory and every now and then when i need to repair a weapon or tool I find a quiet place, put the helmet on him and start punching him. This will repair most of my legendary weapons and tools in just a minute or so, doesn't require a second weapon for the thrall to carry identical to my main, doesn't leave him with gimped armor all the time, and is significantly faster than any other method of obtaining a legendary repair kit. I.E. killing a unnamed city boss or even if you happen to have a t4 blacksmith even farming the mats and processing them to craft a legendary repair kit. Not that either of those methods are bad but this method is just soo so good.
Where and how can I get the awesome helmet?
Did you happen to check and see if the not really there wall at the end effects NPC's if you stand in it while attacking. I would test it but don't want to play until the new patch. Can't wait. They better have improved AI while working on thralls or I will be so angry.
ai changes arent planned yet, so no official confirmation. but they said they want to work on them so there is hope for the near future.
the idea with each update is to get features out when they are ready instead of bundling them all together.

that way people that don't know about it won't think of checking it, and people who know about it, will think its patched once they try and walk through.
Kind of want to try building a base inside that wall now. Its not the greatest in terms of nearby resources but could work as a good place to log out on PVP servers.
For the overweight tip instead of stabbing turn your back to the direction you wanna go and backflip over and over you cover way more distance

15:40 Those walls seems to be generally bugged in Unnamed city, the wall directly east from the Unnamed City Obelisk has an odd collision bug.
if you havent already please make a video on all weapons that can be used to knock out thralls cause there is a legendary weapon called ''Lovetap'' i think which does 1 dmg and there is also a weird truncheon you can get from the drunk guy in the wine cellar so maybe you can make a video about all of them and which is the best

It's called
You can drop off the cooked fish and any other type of food you don't want in the fluid press. Fill it up. It'll gradually spoil and as the spoiled meat builds up to 50 units, it converts to ichor.
One problem u r gonna face is that fluid press holds only 10 slots which doesn't make it a good ichor maker this way, but u can drop the food in a compost so it purifies faster then move it to the press

Fish is producing enough ichor without that bad putrified method.
And some spider can give you icor if use Hatcher to farm.

Nemedian helmet only repairs main hand weapon. Also the godbreaker boots have the same effect. Give that your thrall, instead of that silly looking helmet ;)

dlwatib building on lava won't do anything good amour can handle that, you put a load fireplaces around it don't matter what amour you have on ur going get heatstroke
dlwatib you slap down enough fireplaces to give heatstroke it takes health you can't heal and it also stops ppl climbing
dlwatib but you have to make sure you have access to turn them on or off or you going find yourself in trouble in ur own base

What is the name of the armor you are using for your character?
See the first tip is a prime example of why we shouldn’t have a thrall cap, because some of them(most) go full derp and won’t fight, the only way to bypass this you have to have more thralls then could possibly go derp
Funcom have a cap on how many player npc that are allowed to fight at the same time since AI processes are taxing on the game and can result in lag, the more thralls you have concentrated in an area the more derp you have in said area. 4-5 AI will function, the rest will run in circles or stand still since they're not allocated enough resources to act at full capacity.
Hopefully with the leveling thralls they'll also have better AI code. It's Funcom so they don't quite have the clout, but a Gamer can always dream.
Btw, pick is overall preferable tool if you want to harvest more hides rather than flesh and dont have skining knife. Only reptile hide and fur can be harvested purely with skining knife
Has anyone found a way to cool down your house besides glow torches? Trying to cool down a volcano house without tanking my frame rate
T3 building don't use black ice... black ice is for cold protection terrible in the volcano... so nothing with insulated wood should do

Build a super tall stair case by the world bosses and lure them up and take the floor out from beneath them and the drop insta kills them and you have easy unlimited keys
I did this exact same thing lol. Or cheesed them with poison arrows.

if i were going to wear the nemedian helmet , id go underwater and come back up before i drown myself . i use on thrall for weapons i cannot hold underwater
Is there some information I'm missing? I frequently use the helmet, and it has always repaired my weapon, but never my armor...?

Try the Skelos Cultist Robes.
@@xumnie Either it has been changed to looking like Coarse Tunic or it's different.
Godbreaker boots also do the same thing as the nemedian helmet
