Awesome! I just got my Trail 270 24h. I set them up on my SB100 with Rekon/Rekon Race 2.4/2.35 as I do more XC and light trails. From the stock DT Spline 1900 and DHF/Agressor I am saving over 1lb altogether. The craftmanship and detail on these wheels are sublime and the instant engagement is beyond amazing. I thought I wasn't going to like the sound but I am digging it actually. So stoked. Your SC is beautiful, btw, love that color! Cheers!
JSaSa - you’re not lyin about the engagement. These wheels are sturdy and tough. I was worried about the 24h with the type of riding I do but the i9 staff put me at ease. So far, great! Thanks, man!
Nice!! Thanks for sharing!! I just ordered a 2021 XO1 Hightower w/ I9 ENDURO 315C 24H. Wanted to go Carbon to shave some weight. Debated hard on going w/ the 280c or 315c.... but since I can get wider tires on the 315c and also I think for resale having more width and durability is a positive. Only .2 lb separates the two on the 24h spoke config. Just need Santa Cruz to UP their ship dates!! Fiening to ride this bad boy!!!
Vince Agtarap - that’s going to be a sweet setup! I’ll more than likely keep my wheel-set for the next bike in a few years or sell separately. Good luck on new steed 👌🏽
@@sublee7 good to know, I thought I was going to have to do the conversion. I guess with everyone going tubeless now the wheel makers are setting them up that way.
I installed it about 80% and left a little gap to pour the tubeless stans (liquid) inside the tire. Then I seated the tire completely with my pump. Just one method of installing. Definitely better videos out there to show you how to install.
Hey mate, been thinking about upgrading my wheels for a while now., How did you find the 24 hole version, are they stiff enough and do they feel solid. I weigh 86kg geared up. Coming off good carbon wheelset, i am hoping these are a match.
Jason Higgins - I got mine at backcountry.com. Sign up for emails and you can get a discount. These wheels have been solid and stiff enough for me! I’ve taken them off 3ft drops so far with no issues. The 24h have more compliance for sharp turns. I am sitting at about 178-180lbs kitted up but these wheels can handle up to 210lbs, I believe. Give the guys at i9 in North Carolina and they’ll chat you up. They’re very informative and super nice dudes!
@sublee7 Looking to get some SC reserves i9 combo on my 2020 tallboy v4 (stock are DHF II / DHR II 29 x 2.3) so heard about this combo as well.. how do u like it on the trail compared to stock setup?
Alexander Hong - I did like the DHR setup but to me, the assegai/dissector is better. I prefer a bigger tire in the front. Dissector is nice for grip. The difference is honestly negligible in the grand scheme of things though.
Just bought this bike! Cant wait to upgrade to Industry Nine wheels and hubs!

Beautiful, even in all black. I’m thinking of getting the 1/1 Enduro S or Trail S

Just purchased the 270s Hydra. Do they already come tubeless ready? I noticed you have a valve stem mounted.
Awesome wheel set. Yep, they came tubeless ready w/valve stem already mounted

@@RandomYogi007 good deal. The wheels are still holding up strong. Great wheels!

Good to hear ,I think I might grab myself a set.
Been thinking about it for a while.
Safe riding mate🤘
Hello, do you have any problem with the rims?
2.5 years strong and zero issues. Solid wheels!!

hey! will hightower take a coil shock? is there room, looks pretty tight
Check out the Santa Cruz website. I think it can. Definitely can on the Megatower as my buddy has one on his.
nice. no inserts like cushcore, danping is better and you can ride airless.
Where did you buy wheels?
MTB Molina - got them at Backcountry.com @15% off for signing up for newsletter emails 👌🏽
@@sublee7 wondering why you went with trail 270 over the Santa Cruz reserves? Are these wheels 27 or 30?
Alexander Hong - these are 27 width. Just wanted to stick with i9 because they focus primarily on wheels and I also did not want Carbon.
@@alexanderhong3928 Reserves are grossly overpriced. Nice, but a ripoff compared to other carbon offerings.
@@matthewreid618 there are some at pros closet for 1200 in GREAT shape man!! :o
Industry nine 15-100 12x142
god I hate maxxis logo :D wish they come with black on black
